I usually get drinks here and today I got the Kumquat green tea. Adjusted to half sugar and half ice. Tastes amazing! The guy working is super nice and gave me time to look at the menu. The place is a little on the smaller end but has decent amount of seating. Pretty clean and quiet for studying. Would def come back again

    Roasted brown sugar milk tea

Definitely some of the best boba you'll find in San Diego. The boba itself is out of this world but the tea was a little lackluster and brought the overall experience down a bit for me. I got the jasmine green milk tea which I found to be quite bland and flat, lacking that true jasmine flavor. My girlfriend got the roasted brown sugar milk tea and really like the crunchiness. The service was outstanding as my girlfriend messed up her order and the bobarista fixed the drink for free. Overall I think this place is still for sure worth giving a shot despite its fierce competition less than 5 blocks away with sharetea and tastea, two stellar boba establishments. 8.5/10 would come again

    RBS Taro
    Kim S.

RBS Taro is the best I've ever had! Sucks it's only sold at this location and not Kearny Mesa. Also note, this location doesn't have a point system. Sometimes the service is super fast and other times slow af even if you're the only customer there. Ambiance is a lil off sometimes I guess it just depends on who's working and what side of the bed they woke up on. But I mean as long as the boba is consistently amazing, I'll keep going here.

Pretty good boba! I always get the strawberry green milk tea 50% sweet and enjoyed it. It is super duper creamy! The reduced sweetness was still pretty sweet, so I imagine 100% would be very VERY sweet. The strawberry flavor was nice & tart and the green tea flavor was strong, both melded nicely together. The interior isn't huge but always has seats whenever I visit. And it is pretty nicely decorated for a boba shop, and even has seasonal decorations, which is a nice touch. The employees were always friendly and happy to answer any questions. There is an iPad for self-ordering so that makes it very easy to customize your drinks. The parking is a bit confusing, they have a large row of spots behind the buildings so best to park there and walk through since the building is in the middle of other buildings. I would come back to fulfill my boba cravings.

Da go to boba spot in Mira Mesa! Order online for convenience and quick pick-up. Easy peasy.

    Avocado Smoothie and Strawberry Yogurt

Solid boba spot, I've been here once and the Kearny Mesa location multiple times! My parents like the avocado smoothie as it's perfectly sweet and creamy. They don't just make the avocado smoothie by itself so we had to order the Avocado Mango Cheese Smoothie and ask for no mango and cheese and paid the same price. I really enjoy the strawberry yogurt; it's delicious, creamy, perfectly sweet, a great strawberry flavor and the cheese foam isn't overly cheesy or salty and added a nice touch. The boba is nicely chewy, not too soft and not too sweet with a good light brown sugar taste. Interior is modern and bright and there's a good amount of seating. Service was pretty quick as it was empty.

I've been here a few times but never left a review! My faves are the strawberry yogurt smoothie and the brown sugar milk when I'm in the mood. My parents like the avocado smoothie. Their boba is soft, chewy and not too sweet which is perfect! Parking can be a bit confusing but it's around the plaza on all sides. Good amount of seating and staff were fast and friendly. Easy to order via tablet

First off, I'm a picky boba drinker so take that into consideration with my review. I'm a big fan of traditional milk tea and I typically judge a place by how well their traditional milk tea is. In this case, theirs was good. I enjoyed it. The vibe is super cute - as you can see in the pictures! We came on an early afternoon on Monday. There was one employee. He wasn't super friendly or social or hospitable but he wasn't bad. He was just neutral. My friends and I eat got a boba drink. My boyfriend got the strawberry green milk tea and it was very good - better than my traditional one! Overall - we had a great time and will come again!

"Daboba so delicious! " I'm here visiting San Diego area for work when I all the sudden realized what a great opportunity is would be for me to visit a new boba shop! To start, upon entering this humble shop I immediately fell in love with the plants hanging all around the shop. The floors were clean, tables spotless and the jams were on! The aesthetic is so perfectly perfect here. For the price of a fresh tea with a topping I would say it's about average for a boba shop. I am not disappointed with the price point that they serve here. -Today I ordered a fresh classic Jasmine green tea. Half sugar 50%. Light ice with brown sugar boba. I was not disappointed!!!! The tea was so crisp and smooth. A perfect sweet balance along with the brown sugar boba which wasn't too much nor too little. I didn't leave a stain on your teeth or a coating in your mouth. Perfectly cooked boba with a delicate brown sugar coat. Such a perfect cold treat for the night. I will be recommending this boba shop to everyone at work :) Thank You Daboba!!!

    Japanese Roasted Milk Tea

Stopped by Daboba in Mira Mesa while running errands and it's a solid boba spot. The shop is clean, bright, and welcoming, and service was quick--ordered and got my drink in just a few minutes. I tried the Japanese roast tea (a roasted oolong) with boba and coconut jelly. It was tasty and refreshing, but honestly I've had deeper, more flavorful teas at other boba spots. Still, it definitely did the job and hit the spot. The convenience factor is a big plus--easy parking in the strip mall and a good option if you're in the area and want a quick boba fix. Bottom line: Not the very best boba in town, but clean, fast, and convenient. Worth a stop if you're nearby.

    Elizabeth M.

Got the Brown sugar. Yummy (very sweet just how I like it)! I was so impressed on how soft the boba balls were lol. It took a bit to get our order (about 15 mins) which was funny because we were the first in line. I get it though boba is a busy business.

Daboba is one of my favorite boba shops. I love how they are spreading throughout San Diego. This location in Mira mesa is a little bit of a hassle to get to just because there is a little walking as it is completely in the middle of a plaza. The servers are always quick and know exactly how to describe the flavors. I enjoy adjusting the sugar and ice levels. Personally I am always a fan of the brown sugar drinks. I wouldn't say that the roasted brown sugar ($0.50 more) is worth it but some people like that subtle texture and crunch in every few sips. This location has way more options than some of the other locations which is nice. I see lots of people studying here, since the space is pretty big and gives off a nice study cafe feel. Interior is super adorable and for the most part has been always clean when I get a drink. Great job Daboba!

    Jason W.

Cute boba shack with a spacious interior and some nooks and crannies too. Good assortment of soft and hard seating, and high top and low top tables. The interior space makes it a nice place to hang out. I tried the brown sugar matcha boba. It was very milky and lacked matcha flavor, so I probably wouldn't get it again. The boba though were the highlight: perfectly chewy, very sweet and quite delicious!

I grew up going to Bánh Cuốn Tây Hồ in Westminster and crave this dish from time to time ever since I moved to SD, so I was so overjoyed to see that they serve a pretty close version of one of my favorite entrees, the Bánh Cuốn with Ground Pork [$15.08 w/ tax] -- the only difference being that Thien Huong does not pair the dish with the shrimp and sweet potato fritters. Nonetheless, the dish itself is exactly what I was looking for! Freshly steamed rice rolls filled with a savory mix of ground pork, wood ear mushroom, and onions and topped with crispy fried shallots with a refreshing side of shredded cucumber, cilantro, and bean sprouts! The dish also includes several slices of chả lụa as added protein. Everything is not only fresh but is just so well balanced! I am generally a picky eater, but this is one of the dishes that I will wipe clean as it's not only nostalgic but also THAT good! They have other dishes and classic Vietnamese drinks, like Viet coffee, but I have yet to try them. Parking is relatively easy if you're going during the weekday, but it does get crowded during the weekend. This place is frequented by many families and fellow Vietnamese, so you know it's good/authentic! I will say, service is just ok. You order at the counter and take a number with you to your table of choice (when they're not busy), and they'll bring your food out to you. Water is included with your meal! You can order at a kiosk or go up to the cashier, which makes it easy depending on what you prefer. The menu has a solid variety. All your usual milk teas, fruit teas, slushies, and blended drinks, plus a good amount of toppings. They were also advertising a matcha ice spinner which caught my attention, so I'll probably come back to try that and see how their matcha quality is. I went with a mango fruit tea at 75% sweetness and added boba. I sat outside while waiting, they have limited indoor seating but a couple tables outside which is nice. The drink came out in about five minutes, so pretty quick. First thing I noticed was there were actual mango pieces in the drink, not just syrup. That was a nice surprise and added a good texture. They were soft enough to go through the straw too, so it didn't feel annoying to drink. Flavor wise, I do wish I went lower on the sweetness. Even at 75% it was still a bit too sweet for me, but that's more personal preference. The part that didn't really hit was the boba. It was a little mushy and didn't have that chewy texture I usually look for. It also had this slightly artificial honey taste that kind of overpowered the drink a bit. Not terrible, just not my favorite. It's a solid and convenient spot for the area. Good variety, quick service, and a nice setup. I'd come back, but probably switch up the toppings next time.

She saw how hot it was and gave me lemon water! Simple nice gestures like that on a 90° day when I was working outside honestly makes my day! Whenever I'm back in SD, I'll know where to get my tea!

I guess given my age, I might be the Boba Madam lol. Ive had boba long before it became trendy in the US and the only place you could get a boba milk tea was in Taiwan. How I remember those holiday trips and never wanted to come back. Fast forward twenty more years and boba really started taking off once I was a grown adult and seeing them all around NYC. Its of much pride and joy that my ancestry is the place of boba. Ive had DaYungs in Phoenix and do like that they have fresh taro puree there and today when I came in here agter hot yoga, I tried a milk tea with taro puree and added boba, less ice and 30% sugar. I ordered at a contactless machine and before I could even finish checking in on Yelp, my drink was ready. This place is clean and not too much traffic when I came in. Its in a convenient location with a lot of restaurant choices in the area and ample parking. Drink was good, but still too sweet for me. Everything was good consistency and next time I'll just have to dial down the sugar even more. Id definitely return again, solid choice for a boba milk tea break!

I went on the first day of the collab and the employees told me the plushies sold out in the first 10 minutes. The employees were super kind though and I appreciated them a lot. I was still able to get stickers and acrylic keychains during the collab. There's better quality boba out there, but I'm so happy there's a Gong Cha in San Diego for these kind of collab events. And actually, the shoryu cotton candy drink was actually really tasty lol.
