This place is a surprising gem. Prompt friendly service with a smile when we came in for lunch. It was a hot summer day and the waitress brought 3 glasses of water with the menus as soon as we sat down. Stopped by as been seeing the adds on Facebook. Ordered Dad's burger $16.99. There's add on's you can choose, no pricing. So added some cheese and bacon. The burger is served on a tray with some fries, the fries were good and there was tomato, onion, lettuce and pickle on the side. The flavor and quality of the burger is good. The bill came out and I thought there might be a mistake as Dad's $16.99 burger totaled $24.12. Looking at the receipt add $1.75 for cheese and $2.50 for bacon.$1.95 tax and a .93 credit card fee. Add a tip and your'e nudging $30 bucks for a burger and glass of water. A $30 lunch sitting at a picnic table looking at some fence boards. I get the concept but it doesn't add up to value for me. In comparison I had a very good Just Bacon Burger at Chillis that comes with cheese and bacon, fries and everthing else $15.69 all while sitting at comforatble seating with a bar. Based on reviews and website, my wife and I had high hopes. We ordered the pulled pork, mushroom burger, fries, onion rings and Mac n cheese. ( we did get dessert) Okay, I'll be brief - the food is definitely not bad but here is the problem. The burgers are fair priced around 13 or so $$. Where they really get you is the sides. Our total came to 57$, the problem is the style of food and that there are much better options if you're going to spend that much. if you have a family, this would be a steep ask to go out to eat. read more

The burger & fries were very tasty. We shared and I wish I had had my own fries. Ha! Very fresh ingredients. The bacon was YUM! The price is a bit high but you get what you pay for. I had high hopes for this place, but it was a disappointing experience. I took my daughter and 1-year-old over the weekend. The decor is like a backyard with picnic tables and fake grass. The service was good, but that's where the positives end. We each ordered different dishes, and none of us enjoyed our food. How can you serve BBQ pork without coleslaw or sweet potato fries without honey mustard? I ordered a Bison burger medium-rare, but it arrived charred and tasted burnt. The first order of sweet potato fries was good, but the second was clumped together and soggy. There are no standards; none of this should have left the kitchen. The final straw was overhearing the wait staff discussing cocaine use within earshot of diners, including my child. They proudly mentioned they've been open since January 20th. I'd be surprised if they make it to their first anniversary. There's nothing special about Dad's Backyard to make me want to return. This was $70 and 2 hours wasted. read more

I had the best Cheesesteak and fires. Plenty of meat and great flavor. The beer batter dipped fries were perfect. Along with house made ranch dressing. The service was just fine. The ladies were very friendly and helpful. They have a nice twist on how to order. They hand you a menu covered with a plastic sheet that you then use a marker to make your choices. Just happened to stop by Dad's Backyard Grill this evening on my way back from Phoenix. So delicious! Didn't realize it was their grand opening today. Even though we were just getting something to go, the waitress was super nice and helpful and gave us the best service! Like above and beyond. It's very cute inside and you can tell they've put a lot of love into it. I got the burger which was a ground Chuck and brisket blend - so damn good and flavorful. Went for a late lunch and all 3 of us really liked it. The decor is very unique and fun. Our waitress was great, she went above and beyond to explain the menu and make great suggestions. The food was great. I had a chili burger and the chili had a really good smoky flavor. The only negative was no beer but I was told they were going to have some in the coming months. I don't understand how this place has so many stars. Maybe it was a bad day for them. We were greeted promptly by a women and told us open seating. Our server brought us our menus, told us how the ordering works and took our drinks. We ordered a 2 piece fish and chips and the bbq brisket sandwich. The food took at least 25-30 minutes, not once did the server ask us for refills, apologize for the food order taking so long and not to mention two parties came in after us and were served their food first. Finally we received our food, the fish and chips looked freezer burnt and my sandwich was ok, not worth $24. I will have to say the ranch is good. The waiter didn't even stop by our table to see how the food was and I had to ask for a refill. Once the check came the waiter somehow came alive and was making conversation.
