My daughter wanted to try this place (obviously cuz it reminded her of her daddy ...) and we were very pleased with the quality of the meal. We started off with an app of steamed pork dumplings which were plump and tasty. Then we each had respective pho bowls - a nice flavorful broth, tender slices of beef, and generous serving of noodles. We only wish that they provided some lime wedges and thai basil leaves to add as one pleased, but tbh, the soup was quite tasty and we didn't really miss this after a few slurps. (They did have bottles of the real sriracha sauce - the one with the rooster on it - so that added a nice spicy kick as needed!) My wife had the papaya salad with shrimp and she said it was very tasty with a good heat level. All in all, satisfying good eats and we look forward to trying them again! read more

Filthy grimy cups, anything fried was greasy and tasted like the oil hadn't been changed for weeks, several menu items were out of stock including ice and normal condiments. Brown lettuce! The server tried to hide the brown lettuce by moving the bowl and cup. It felt like they were just using up old stuff before going out of business. Broth was cloudy and gross. Will not be back to this or any other Daddy's location. Nobody finished their meal. We left in disgust. There was no point in complaining as they clearly knew what they were doing. I ate here just because Chang's Garden is close permanently and Oriental Cafe closed for the 4th of July. I walked into Daddy's and was greeted by the oppressive smell of burnt grease, and I should've been smart enough to walk right out then. The floor was sticky, the countertop along the wall dirty. No one was there around lunch time, another bad sign. But I persisted and ordered a Vietnamese vermicelli dish with roasted shrimps. It arrived shortly and was plain looking with six shrimps on top. With the sauce poured in and mixed, I took a bite. It was bland, bland, bland. This is the simplest Vietnamese dish, and they manage to mess it up, badly. I didn't dare to drink the water that came in a beaten-up plastic cup. This place is a total dive, just quite disgusting really. Don't waste your money here. Want OK Asian food, go to the Oriental Cafe instead. read more

Gotta start out with the top tier service. Personable but relaxed. I'd stayed away from pho for a while, it had just not impressed me in the past but it had been a few years and my buddy really likes it so we went for it. I had the shrimp dumplings and the special x large pho. I'd expected the dumplings to be nothing special but they were top tier! The pho though....excellent. Totally converted me. Deep, rich broth, great noodles and loved the assortment of meats (rare flank, tripe, steak, brisket). Not good soup or vermicelli noodles. Literally flavorless. I'm told the pho was good but the ramen and noodle dishes completely lacked flavor. Even adding hot sauce made them barely edible. Smelled clean inside but like cleaning chemicals which isn't super appetizing when you're grabbing a bite to eat. Server was lovely but not sure I'd ever go back. Such a cute little place! The service was amazing, a little tiny seating area which was great for lunch! The food was AMAZING! The spring roll was so fresh and vibrant, the peanut sauce was delicate and nutty, and the vermicelli noodles were so delicious! Delicious! My husband and I were so excited to try this place now that it's open, and we weren't disappointed. I got the #12 (the pho with rare steak), and my husband got a sandwich (bành mì) and the #23 Special Double Trouble. The bành mì is especially good! Very crispy. I was really excited to try the pho too, and once I mixed everything together (including the meat, which turned out very tender once it cooked in the broth) and it was SO good! If you order the pho, don't expect a super rich broth, but something more light and herb-y. My only complaint is that the broth was a bit oilier then I'm used to, but it was forgivable. read more

Possibly the worst rolls I've ever had.. Not that they were spoiled , or they tasted poorly. That wouldn't be true. At least if they were spoiled, they would have had flavor. But they just lacked effort. Not even a scallion! The "ground pork was nearly invisible. Only had the rice noodles and shrimp. NO BEAN SPROUTS!!?. No basil!! Very very lame effort. I'm sorry. Try adding a bit more of the menu listed ingredients. Throw a hot pepper in the box "they're cheep". Next time I go in I'm going to take a picture and post it. The food used to be great when they opened- fresh and delicious. We haven't been in a while because we found Pho 99 in Manchester (the best pho we've ever had), but we decided to give Daddy's Noodle another try because we are sick and it is close to home. What a disappointment. Nothing tasted or looked fresh. The basil was shriveled and brown. Some of the bean sprouts were withered away to nothing. The noodles came in a brick form (as they usually do for takeout) but they would not separate. They just broke into chunks of chewy, disgusting mush. Even the lime was brown! We got the smallest dab of hoisin imaginable and no fish sauce for our pork egg rolls, which weren't at their best either. The pho generally just tasted old. Even the Boba looked old and was hard in the middle! I HIGHLY recommend Pho 99 in Manchester. You might have to travel a bit farther to get there and their prices are a bit higher, but it is SO worth it. The pho is fresh and perfect. I loved how many vegetables they gave with it, and the egg roll was really delicious and crispy. The order was filled pretty quickly which was a bonus. Great new spot! I'm so happy that there's a Vietnamese place near campus now. The vermicelli salad is pretty good, especially the shrimp vermicelli since the chicken and the pork are both on the dry side. I like that they have herbs and veggies on the side. I've also tried the pho w rare steak. I think the broth is solid, but some extra herbs and Thai basil would be nice. The price isn't bad either, but I would've liked to see more rare steak. I hate leaving a bad review because I know how hard it is keeping any restaurant going even in the best of times but we ate here yesterday and I ordered a number 21 off the in store menu (also a 21 is a different dish on line then it was in the shop menu). It was suppose to have pork, shrimp and squid. Instead I was served a soup which only had shrimp and imitation crab stick (a combo I don't even see on their on-line menu). I and my wife were the only customers in the shop at the time so it's not like a mistake was made in the order due to work load (which happens and I could understand). Normally I would have sent it back but I was hungry so I thought fugget about it and just ate it. It's a shame because the broth in the noodle bowl was really good and the girl working the counter was nice so I gave them 3 stars instead of 2 (if they were out of squid I should have been told and offered the option of changing my order instead of swapping out the squid for crab stick which wasn't even real crab; real crab meat I would have been happy with). So, looks like it's going to be a situation of "One and Done" for Daddy's. Not a way to foster repeat business... read more

This place is amazing! Not just noodles, but an extensive Vietnamese menu including pho, banh mi, and other favorites. The banh mi is a steal at $5, crunchy baguette, pate, and roast pork with crunchy pickled veggies. The noodle dishes are extremely generous servings--easily two meals--the Daddy's Ramen and Vegetarian Pho have both gotten rave reviews from our family. The chicken ramen I had was mediocre at best. I also had the steamed shrimp dumplings. They were gross, the dough on the dumplings were mushy and not properly formed on the dumplings. For the steep 7$ price for 4 dumplings I expected higher quality. I don't think I'd go back again, it wasn't worth the price. read more
