This place is good... I read previous reviews and I did not experience any of their issues. The meat was juicy and tender, not fatty. The queso was not runny or see through. Before covid, I loved this restaurant. I decided to order a pickup order last week, and when I pulled up, only one worker was wearing a mask inside the establishment. 3/4 workers were maskless, against the county wide mandate. The only negative is that I don't care for their corn tortillas. I wish they went with another brand but the flower tortillas are great. Just ate with my wife at Daddy's Tacos and we had Salmon, Mahi Mahi and Veggie tacos all on corn tortilla. Theo are the best hands down and are pretty big too. Breakfast tacos served all day. I have been to Torchy's, Rusty's, Del Sur Grill and Señor Loco. These are all at the top of my list, but our new favorite is Daddy's tacos. They have alcohol for those who drink and the Sangria Margaritas are very strong. Also, they have real Mexican paletas (ice cream), it's like eating the real fruit. Easy parking space, very clean establishment and good and friendly fast service. Great prices too for street tacos. We have always loved Daddys tacos we referred so many people to this place but the past month the service has gone downhill. I don't know if they have new management but whenever we order something it's never exactly what's on the menu my husband loves the chicken street tacos that supposed to come with onions and Serrano peppers the one he got today just has chicken and cilantro. I ordered something two weeks ago from them and it was missing items as well this, is not acceptable we live in a place where Mexican food is in abundance you have to continue to be competitive. The tacos are "ok" nothing to brag about. What was disappointing is how filthy the restaurant was...not one of the empty tables was cleaned, I had to sit at a dirty table and ask for someone to come clean it, the response I got was "sure in a few minutes" especially during Covid-19 uncalled for. Decent tacos, had the shrimp ones and they were good (a copycat taco of Torchy's IMO) but not great. The queso was inedible, watery like...how do you mess queso?!? We added the sauce that came with the tacos to it and it made it better but still crappy. Will go back to try the veggie ones. I really can't stand this place. It's in my neighborhood and super convenient so I wanted to like it, and tried so hard to like it from when it first opened, and I just can't! The food and service are terrible. No matter what I've gotten there, it's always so greasy. There is always a big puddle of oil sitting on the bottom of my plate. I know it's not a healthy place so it might be expected but come on..that's just excessive. I got the veggie quesadilla one time and picked it up to take a bite, and oil was just running out and down my hand! Unappetizing to say the least! The rice and beans also have zero flavor. Meh. Now onto the service, I recently called in an order and was told it'd be ready in 20 minutes. Which seemed excessive considering I only had a couple of tacos, but whatever. I ended up making a stop before picking up and ended up arriving 20 mins after the pick up time I was quoted. I figured my food would be ready and cold, which would have been my fault and just fine. I went up to pay and the person at the register told me it'd be ready in just a minute, so I assumed they had to pack it up. 10, 15, 20 minutes later... I still don't have my food! So I eventually went up with an attitude as I was not thrilled it was taking this long.. and he had an attitude right back and said "this is just how long it takes!" Oh really? It takes 1 hour to make a couple of tacos? I told him to go ahead and refund me and he goes "it's literally ready now" so I said fine.. took the food and left. He or anyone there never actually apologized or anything for that BS. Got home and as expected the food was just sitting there swimming in oil. So disappointing time and time again! BUT we finally learned our lesson, no matter how close and convenient this place is, it'll always disappoint every single time. read more

Yuck. Soggy stewed meat in a tortilla. We tried the spicy pork cause it had so many good reviews. It was awful. Smelled very porky in a not good way. Think opposite of bacon. Also tried the brisket. Watery stewed meat with no flavor. Margarita was awful too. VERY unsatisfying meal. Learned they are owned by Mesa. Gonna go home and eat a peanut butter sandwich. I ordered the fish tacos, which was not bad.. not the best but wasn't terrible. I also ordered a veggie taco. It was supposed to have sauteed zucchini, roasted carrots and peppers, corn and black beans. There were 4 small chunks of zucchini and the rest was unflavored black beans and rice. Terrible. Excellent place for tacos! You can get corn or flour (why?) tortillas. My wife had the chicken tacos and loved them. We both loved the tasty salsa with chips. We ordered a second cup. I had the brisket and spicy pork. The brisket was a little dry, but the pork is stellar. I will be ordering it again. Well their hours on Yelp are Sunday's from 7am - 10pm. When I arrived I noticed the hours on their door were the same. But at 9am the doors were locked. Craziest part was that the lights were on and employees were inside just looking at me? But nobody came to let me in. Simply just OK. I had the Fish taco, the Shrimp Taco & the beef Fajita Tacos on corn tortillas. Not a lot of flavor in any of them. The beef was over cooked and had a quarter sized chunk of cartilage in it. The grilled fish was OK but (again) not much flavor. The shrimp was the best of the group. My daughter had the Brisket taco & she said it was decent tasting but dry. My wife liked her bacon & egg bowl. The place was not busy (two tables of four) and it took 20 minutes for a to go order. Come to find out , our order was ready in ten minutes & it just sat on the counter. They never called our name. I had to go ask about our order & we were the only ones with a togo order. Visited Daddy's Tacos this Sunday morning and was very disappointed. I ordered and paid for a burrito and received a taco. The cheese was not even melted! When I told the boy at the counter he apologized and later brought out a burrito with very little egg. It appeared they took the taco that they originally made and wrapped it up into a very small burrito. Basically I paid $6.00 for a breakfast taco with hardly any egg. The shrimp tacos are fabulous!! I think they are the best I've ever had. I had one fried shrimp taco and one grilled. The sauce they use and the shrimp are amazing! I've also had the burrito bowls.
