I went here for a business meeting with someone I was meeting for the first time. We both were amazed at the quality of the fish. Just on look alone, it looked like what you would see at a high priced sushi spot. They have 50% nigiri, so salmon is like $3.99 for 2 pieces. Tuna is $4.50 for 2 pieces and the most expensive is Otoro at like $15 for 2 pieces. Typically, a 50% off sushi sign would terrify me, and I would be lying if I said i wasn't skeptical the first time I went here but I assure you, the skepticism will be long gone after you see the sushi hit the table. It tastes incredible and it was so good that after going my first time, I went again 2 more times over the course of the next 2 weeks. They've been open for about a year. The place is rather small but the wait isn't so bad. I feel like they'll get busy once the word spreads. From the nigiri section, we ordered Japanese scallop, amberjack, sea bream, salmon, yellow tail belly, salmon roe, flying fish roe, salmon, squid, Spanish mackerel, and the miso cod. I'm torn. Because of the rice in the sushi, I have to say 4 stars. The rice was a bit on the hard side and didn't have the natural sweetness and flavor that comes from better rice. However, the fish was really good. The deluxe sashimi plate deserves 5 stars! The oyster shooters were a little disappointing. The shot glass was too deep and had too much liquid with the little oyster which diluted the flavor of the oyster. It was also on the spicier side which again covered the flavor of the oyster. Was craving sushi and stumbled upon this spot for lunch. I was surprised at how busy they were for a Wednesday midday. They've been open for 3 months and currently have a 50% off nigiri sushi promo. Even bluefin tuna for 50% off! I thought the quality would be lacking with such a great promo deal but their fish was super great quality! I ordered the deluxe chirashi (around $35) which came with A LOT of sashimi pieces including Ikura and uni! My husband ordered some nigiri and a spicy tuna handroll. One of our fav spots for date night! The quality and the price is amazing for what it is! I love that their nigiri is always fresh, I never have to worry about their quality coming here. Our favorites are the baked mussels, salmon nigiri, and the eel. The rolls here are pretty standard, good but nothing amazing. Legit. Yes, very legit. The fish you get at some high end Omalase spots, you can get here at half the price. My inner Asian was too tempted so we had to try it out! We had our pup with us, so we had to take it to-go but it was super quick and easy get everything all ordered. We got: Salmon Belly Yellowtail Belly Seared Salmon Japanese Scallop Miso Black Cod Salmon Egg Agedashi Tofu Takoyaki Everything came out to roughly $60ish which isn't the cheapest still, so honestly, I can't imagine paying full price for these. First time here for lunch. Been eating sushi & sashimi since the 70's. I've never left a negative review for a sushi bar. However, I am compelled to now. DAI menu advertises 1/2 off the nigiri sushi all day/night, everyday. The regular price is above average, so 1/2 off isn't the best deal in town, but not the worst. I ordered 1 salmon nigiri (2-pieces) and 1 yellowtail nigiri. The size of the fish was so SMALL I couldn't believe it!!! it was about 1/4 the size of a quality sushi bar. TOTAL RIP OFF!! Next, I ordered a classic tuna cut roll. It was 6 tiny pieces and looked like a 2 year old made it. The texture was soft & slimy. Didn't taste much more than the Nori. I can't say anything about the quality of the nigiri as I was so irritated with the small size, I didn't notice the taste. My friend ordered a tempura plate and did not have any sushi. She said hers was "ok". I did have 1 of her potstickers and it wasn't good either. It wasn't a good lunch special either.. $20 bucks for a couple cheap items. Oh and the wasabi.... It was dry and granular!! As for later that night.... I was in the bathroom most of it. I guess the fish wasn't fresh or preserved properly!OVERALL, terrible experience!! Quality sushi! I've seen this place pop up a few times and decided to give it a try. I came on a Saturday night around 6:30 and there was a slight wait, probably about 30 minutes. It does seem to get busy, so plan accordingly. It's a very small sushi restaurant. There's a sushi bar, maybe 4-5 booths and maybe 4 tables. They are currently doing 50% off sushi for grand opening! This means just the nigiri, NOT the rolls for people who don't know the difference lol. My table ordered the baked green mussels, jumbo scallop sushi, salmon sushi, yellowtail sushi, octopus sushi, fresh water eel sushi, crunchy roll, lion's mane roll, and the blue ocean roll. Everything tasted fresh and was soooo good! My only complaint was that the baked green mussels had too much eel sauce (picture shown). There was about 2 pieces that were drowning in eel sauce. My favorite roll was the blue ocean roll. Ugh, SO GOOD. I believe the inside has crab with toro on top? Found this through Yelp and decided to give it a try since they have the Mentaiko pasta. Food presentations were on point , every dish was nicely decorated and I loved their plating. The pasta/udon $19.99 was good and not bland. The salmon truffle carpaccio $19.99 was good could taste the truffle oil. Ordered bento box but beef terriyaki was super Chevy, it seems made of very low quality meat. Bento box doesn't have tempura and other sides as most of the places offer. It is as very plain, it comes with some tofu and tastes not good. It was what I used to bento boxes that I have most of the places. This place is great if you're a fan of nigiri since they have discount pricing. Most of the fish we had was delicious. Our favorites were the yellowtail belly, bluefin tuna belly, eel (not pictured) and seared salmon. Some of the cuts of fish were pretty thick too. The miso black cod was not what I expected. It's slightly sweet and not as much blackened flavor. It was tasty and worth a try. The scallop was made special with a cheese grated on top. The sushi rice was a 3.5/5. It could have been more seasoned but it was a good temperature and texture. The sushi roll was saucy and filling. No complaints. The miso soup was complimentary. The service was great. Everyone was really friendly. We didn't wait long for anything. The restaurant itself is smaller. This would be a great place for a date night. There's a lot of two seater tables that could be pushed together for bigger parties. We sat at the sushi bar. Overall, I would say this place is worth a try. I will definitely be going back. First time here and it's was one of the best Sushi restaurant I have been to. Staff was very friendly and asked if we had any questions and refilled our drinks when we were low with out us asking them. The atmosphere was very relaxing and the interiors lights are not too dim or too bright. The place looked very cleaned since they just opened. Now to the food, My favorite was the mackerel and uni. Uni was very balanced with sweetness and pleasant. the shishito peppers were amazing and also the takoyaki. I rate the takoyaki 8.5/10. I got the miso soup and it was good and comforting. The salmon and tuna sushi was just right, very good. The seared salmon had some chili oil which was different but I really liked it.
