Great little brunch spot not too far away from the saguaro. The best meal on the menu would be the steak and eggs with a side of chorizo mac and cheese. you can't go wrong definitely the best of both worlds. They have an extensive breakfast and lunch menu with more than a couple of drink options. I got the bloody Mary which is really good with an extra little kick at the end. Seem like they made their own mixers and toppings we're really fresh. The service was really fast and check on us without being too intrusive. definitely call ahead because this place gets packed so you know what the seatings going to be like. read more

Wow, I think I'm in love with Phoenix. First off the people here are so nice and the food selection thus far has been Devine. Daily dose is a bar and grill spot but very known for their breakfast foods.The breakfast nachos were a rave, so of course I ordered it and wow, it's def a delicious dish. I'd have them for breakfast lunch or dinner. It comes with eggs, cheese, sliced tomatoes, peppers with a side of sausage queso. The other dish was a Huevos Rancheros and it too was very delicious and well prepared. The Resturant has a Mexican feel and the staff was very attentive. read more

Love love love this place!!! My husband Anna I always start our day here when we're in Scottsdale, this year was no exception. We were her for four breakfasts, and they were perfection. We had four different servers and they were all great. The background music was the perfect volume ands the music was awesome, our favorite music for sure. The staff was so attentive no matter how busy the breakfast crowd got. The homemade pork sausage is an absolute must! Biscuits and gravy were terrific, the conman pancake we tried 3 different oatmeal dishes and loved them, also the fruit and yogurt was very very good. This place is absolutely amazing. First time coming to Arizona and I wish this was a place around the block from where I live because I would come here all the time! The staff is honestly as a whole super impressive. Whoever is in charge did an amazing job hiring. Brittney at the front was THE BEST. Even when she was tested with a challenging customer she kept it real and professional and I was like damn.. she needs to move up because her professionalism was on point. Then we were served by Miguel and others who just killed it. Amazing food. Amazing service. This place has got it together. Can't wait to come back!!! read more

You can't go wrong with breakfast at the daily dose in old town on a Saturday morning. It's central location is great to begin your day before your hit the town. Sometimes there is a wait but they serve coffee for those waiting. The food is great. I usually get they turkey sausage omelette. read more

My friend and I went here for brunch. I got the chicken and waffles and we split the bottle of champagne (20.00) which comes with your choice of juice. The food was pretty tasty and the servings were plentiful. I love the price point as you get more than what you pay for it. I'll def. be back. read more

We were visiting Scottsdale for the weekend and came to eat here as it was close to our Airbnb. We came early enough with a small group of 3 so there really wasn't a wait. I ordered the chorizo Benedict with their house hash and sweet potatoes as my other side. I liked the chorizo substitute over the classic ham. It was well seasoned with spices and held together like a patty. One of the eggs was perfectly poached with gold yolk. The other, not so much. Most of the other egg was over done with hardly any soft yolk. The chorizo, hollandaise and one yolk did pair together really well though. Both sides were delicious. Crispy layer with the center of both being perfectly cooked. The hash was more savory and the sweetness from the sweet potato with the umami from the mushrooms helped to cut some of the heaviness from the dish. Overall it was a solid breakfast, however I'd go with either the hash or the sweet potato vs both. read more

This was a great spot to grab some much needed breakfast sustenance after a night of drinking and partying all night long in the Arizona desert! We were seated very quickly and had our food come to us very quickly as well which was totally awesome because I was hungry! They have a menu that was full of delicious options but the Hangover Sandwich definitely caught my eye for being one of the best things they had to serve. The sandwich itself was oh soooo good packed with a flavor of grilled jalapeños, onions, eggs and breakfast meats what more could you ask for? The sandwich also came with a fruit cup and some potatoes all of which were quite good and went well with the flavor of the sandwich. This is definitely a place I would come to again for breakfast if I was in the area great selection and the Breakfast Bacon Bloody Mary sounded amazing as well if your into that kinda thing like I am! read more

Best breakfast I've had in a long time. There is so much to try here. It took me forever to make a decision. My friends ordered ham eggs Benedict and potatoes and fruit. An omelette with hash and potatoes and a cinnamon roll pancake. I ordered the chrizo and jalapeño corn cakes served with eggs on top, with DD hash. This was such a great mixture of food. Never would have thought it would taste as amazing as it did! They brought us cucumber water, so refreshing! Coffee was great, served in huge cups. Also ordered the DD Bloody Mary. It had bacon pieces and bacon vodka. Kind of watered down. Great service and great view of busy road. Eat outside if you can! Gets busy on weekends after 9:30. This will be my Scottsdale breakfast destination. read more

My sister and I are visiting from out of town, and we needed a breakfast spot to swing by before our room was ready. This place has it all! Delicious food, good service, excellent ambiance. Our server, Emily, suggested some items for us, and they were all delicious! I am both gluten and dairy free, and they had options available to fit all my needs. She was so kind, and truly facilitated an excellent experience. The cinnamon roll GF pancake was one of the best I've ever had. 10/10. Will be returning before our flight home! read more

I had a wonderful time eating at this place, we only had to wait 20 mins to get seated (for two people) even though it was pretty busy. The wait was relaxing because they have a little coffee bar for those who are waiting to get it. Sipping on iced coffee made the time go by faster. There was also lots of seating outside for those waiting to get in. I ordered traditional poached eggs and my friend ordered the chorizo omelet, it delicious! We both had coffee with our brunch. Their service was friendly and on par. I highly recommend going here! read more

Daily Dose is a pretty good dose of what the doctor ordered for brunch with friends to celebrate the end of 2016. Since they do not take reservations and there was ~10 of us, one of my friends arrived earliest to wait. Luckily they have a coffee stand for the wait, since Saturday morning is a busy time for brunch! They promised us 2 tables together as 2 separate groups were getting up at the same time, and not even 5 minutes later they begin to seat us, but at different sides of the restaurant. A little upsetting that they did that. Our server was great, but I didn't catch her name. If you exclude alcohol, expect to spend ~$10-15 here. I opted for the Grapefruit Fizz since it sounded fruity. Really fresh and delicious drink to choose! The cinnamon roll pancakes that one of my friends ordered looked great, and I had a little regret ordering the crispy polenta eggs benedict. Decent, but I could've gone without the poblano, made it a little too spicy for my tastebuds. The potatoes were bland, but the DD hash was great! Worth going back another time to try something else in hopes of finding something else on the menu that is as good as the hash & Grapefruit Fizz. read more

Reviewing here today after having had a decent burger in the past. Today's experience may not reflect what's typical but I feel compelled to share. After ordering food by phone came to pick up, and the paid. Stayed at pick up spot at bar, was told to wait for food. I noticed there was food waiting in a to go bag on back of bar counter. Waiting for about 15 minutes until another associate came over and asked what I was waiting for, found my (cold) food which happened to be the to-go bag that was waiting there all along (biscuits and gravy and steak and potato bowl). This lady asked me to pay (again) to which I explained I had already paid in the beginning. Did not get a response from her, just a look that said I was ok to go. Scottsdale native here and would love to have had a different experience after from dropping $15 a plate, especially after having already tipped the staff before having to wait for all that time. Food was cold, but most likely would have been great. read more

The place was moderately busy. The host saw us within 5 minutes that we walked in. We were seated, and it took about 5 minutes to get drinks. I ordered a lemonade, and it had a very strange after taste. The person that sat next to us came after us and got our food before us. The food took a little while to get after ordering. My mother, brother, and I all got our food and ate while my father got his food after we all finished ours. Your server was very nice. Wouldn't recommend. read more

Not a huge deal , but I like the option for a small water glass, especially in the middle of a drought. Oh yeah, the food! Love the all day breakfast and lunch menu, with many house made specialties. And a nice selection of hot sauce at the bar so you don't have to bug the bartenders for it. My only critique is the house made sausage which has a grainy texture and flavor. Oh, a shout out to the staff for being attentive to the cleanliness of the table tops. read more

Had breakfast here over the holiday weekend and was very impressed. The portions are large and the food is delicious. It was a little warm, but I say on the patio and enjoyed the atmosphere by the sidewalk. I would definitely recommend this place to all. read more

We were in town for a soccer tournament and came across this place. There was a slight wait, but they seated people as quick as they could and were pretty true to their seating estimates. Wait staff was friendly and polite. Food was pretty good too. I got the poblano fried polenta with egg and hollandaise sauce. Very tasty! read more

Came here after unsuccessful attempts to find a good place that would serve breakfast at 2 pm on a Monday haha. Glad we stopped in because it was a good experience! The ambiance feels kinda typical for old town haha. It was cool sitting near the nice bar they have! They had their happy hour going on so my sister and I ordered mimosa cocktails. My sister got a strawberry one and I got a ginger one. They looked so cute, but they were 90% champagne. Good if you're looking for a strong drink, but we were not haha. I was happy to see vegetarian friendly stuff marked on the menu! I got the tempeh breakfast burrito. My sister got the strawberry ginger granola. I was worried I wouldn't like my burrito due to past bad tempeh experiences, but it was quite delicious! I can't eat eggs anymore but miss enjoying delicious breakfast burritos, this hit the spot. I also got potatoes as my side, it was enough for me to share and tasted great when I added them to my burrito! My sister liked her granola too. And prices are reasonable! And servers are nice! I'd for sure come back if I were in the area and craving a breakfast burrito. read more

Best breakfast in Phoenix, and I've tried every place. Why? They have the best food--and they basics to some specialities like the green chili pork omelette. They have THE NICEST staff. Seriously..endless coffee, will give you a great seat outside even if you are one person. I've been here a lot and they always have a smile, never rush you..and a great location. Been coming here off and on for about 8 years and have never been disappointed. As an east coast person, I feel I know what a good breakfast and diner looks like and DD takes the average breakfast item and hits it out of the park every time. This trip, 4 people in our party and breakfast ranged from crab eggs with hollandaise, egg white wraps and an amazing chicken and waffles. Breakfast cocktails are unique and innovative and the food is prepared fresh and prepared expertly. Service is great. Great food. Great service. Eggs Benedict is my go to for a decadent breakfast and DD's Crispy Polenta and roasted poblano chili opened a whole new world in my criteria! Wow! Perfectly topped with a white cheese sauce and the crispiest potatoes, my taste buds were very happy. Coffee is wonderful, the cup is perfect; wish they sold them and the wait staff was on task, from check-in to attentiveness. Good option for breakfast or brunch. We both had steel cut oats and a black coffee. Hard to mess up but the coffee was good. Unfortunately the waitress was grumpy and a bit flat. Got the job done but she might do better as a garbage truck driver working alone. Nothing worse than a grumpy blonde. I'd stay with ALO Cafe instead. The food and ambiance is off the chart and all the wait staff are friendly and happy to work there. Almost feels like dining with friends and family. I had the eggs, potatoes and toast with black coffee. Likely the best I've had besides my own at home. Don't miss a meal there if you can. Great food and nice people, what a concept. I do NOT recommend this place for vegetarians. The mushrooms were not cooked properly and the dishes looked like they had been made in a rush. We went near the end of brunch time, but the food did not taste good! It was too bland and not worth going a second time. read more

Have been to this place twice now.....both times after a long bike ride from Tempe on a Sunday morning. Wanted to give it two chances before i wrote a review. Friend and I sat on the patio both times which is right on Scottsdale rd. A very warm,cozy and fun patio. Had two diffent menu items each time and all were delicious. The bisquits n gravy are amazing and have a very distinct taste. The hangover sandwich was excellent..even without a hangover. The service is top notch. Love the Daily Dose, depending where the work day is starting we go to either this one or the Mid-town location practically weekly! Service has almost always been incredibly friendly, and the food is great. The protein pancakes are unlike anyone elses in the valley (interesting that that's even a common thing, but Daily Dose has the best), and the cappuccinos for whatever reason are unique; better than most breakfast spots. One of the managing partners, named Allen, see's us quite often and is always really helpful and friendly. I brought my sister who was visiting to Daily Dose for lunch and it was very good. I've been here a couple of times for lunch and breakfast. I love their breakfast and I really like lunch too. My sister had a cheese burger which was awesome (with the pretzel bun). I had the turkey melt which was really good too. The nachos were a delicious starter as well. This place is very quaint and has a really great patio setting. The only reason I did not give 5 stars was because, as a server, I am a little picky when it comes to service. This place is great. I love, love, love the slushy red sangria for a lunch time snack! It seems fairly low in alcohol so I don't feel bad drinking 1 or 2 mid day :) The food is pretty good. My favorite side is the Crispy Polenta, it comes with 2 types of salsas for dipping. The white jalapeño cheese sauce is great on the Nachos because it's a sauce and doesn't get hard on the chips when it cools. The french onion soup is also a favorite for me. I come about once a week because they have free Wifi so I can make it working lunch. The patio is dog friendly which works great for me as I have 2 dogs and they can be with me. read more

The Daily Dose is a great place to go to for happy hour, lunch and sometimes Breakfast. The staff is usually very nice and there is a great outside patio to sit on if not too hot. I don't eat meat but I do eat fish, there are some options for me but I wish they had a few more. I like the veggie burger, and the fish tacos, and a couple of the salads. There breakfast menu is great but if you don't get there before 830 there is usually a long line to wait and I just won't wait for in line for breakfast anymore. read more

This restaurant has become a weekend staple with my group of friends. Almost every weekend one of my friends inevitably leaves their car in Old Town and needs to retrieve it the next day. So, we always stop ot Daily Dose in the car retrieval process. The Eggs Benedict are great and the Hangover Sandwich is the BOMB! Service can be a little slow on the weekend as they get JAM PACKED. Plan on waiting about 15-20 minutes for a table, but they do have coffee, water and comfy chairs out front. read more

Even if the food is good I would suggest going somewhere else. The owner is incredibly unwelcoming and the manager Adam made me and my friend feel uncomfortable. He would not stop starting at her and even after our waitress (who is wonderful BTW) would check in on us he would be right there acting like she didn't just take care of us. I would give it one star if not for our waitress Marissa who is the only reason to go. So sad to see an establishment mistreat their staff and customers. read more

Stopped in for happy hour last night and was really surprised. I ordered the chicken nachos, $5 on happy hour, they were huge! They were not just a giant pile of bad cheese and beans either, I was pleasantly surprised. Good specials on drinks too, i had a rally good beer with my nachos. Or that the bacon was cooked to perfection with the perfect balance of crunchy and chewy. The ambiance of the place is great is wonderful with a good mix of music playing in the background yet not too loud that you can't hold a conversation. The cheesy grits were flavorful and filling and the pancakes are some of the best I've ever had. The prices are reasonable and the service is excellent.

I loved the whole layout, decor, everything! It gives 70s vibes when life was carefree, warm, and personal. It felt like food was created with a lot of intention and love. Definitely not like your typical breakfast diner where they just give you a plate of breakfast food that tastes the same as every diner. This place is űber bright and cheery, has several seating options- tables, booth, and bar; and patio seating for cooler days. Today wasn't the day for us since it's 101°. Service reflects the warmth of the place. Our server was helpful and gave us time to look through the menu. Would love to come back next time I'm in town.
