I was seated immediately and I was so excited to try this place out! I got an order of the deviled eggs which were divine! I also ordered the rotisserie chicken sandwich which was absolutely fantastic. The fries were also crisp and cooked well. Such great vibes. The restaurant is chic and has a great ambiance. Food was very underwhelming. Not seasoned well. I ate my meal because I was paying for it, but this was possibly the most bland meal I've ever eaten. Highly disappointed. I was very excited to try the steak and eggs and left knowing that I won't return. French toast was soggy as well. The breakfast potatoes were probably the best thing we ordered. Met up with some friends for dinner. Really pretty restaurant with plenty of outdoor seating. Was not impressed with my main, crunchy noodles. I think they forgot whatever sauce for it. Could've been a stellar dish but was really bland. This place does not offer many entrees but a nice selection of sharables, which turned out to be great. We had the elote cornbread which was really, really good & topped with chili-lime butter, the calamari was crispy & had Thai basel & a red chili sauce, the souther rockefeller was so freakin good, buttery & topped with wilted greens & cornbread crumble. Nice selection of bubbles, I opted for the Mumm then moved to a delightful sancerre when the mains hit the table. For dessert I had the citrus creme brulee which turned out to be my favorite of the evening. I did get to try the triple chocolate donuts & the bananas foster banana pudding. Both were ok. Their brunch looks interesting & will be back to try that & some of their specialty cocktails. I noticed a Lavender 75 (their twist on the French 75) & a mimosa flight that sounds refreshing. read more

This was our first visit and we were impressed with the food. We chose the Ultimate Brunch which had a variety of food. The only thing we did not enjoy was the triple chocolate donut. We found it to have a lot of sodium. I'd guess from the baking soda. I would recommend this place because our server, Kiara was so pleasant, answered all of our inquiries and made sure we had all we needed. She made this visit a place to return!! read more

I came here with one of my best friends for brunch and had a great time! I had mimosas and she had the spicy margarita. Both were good. If you check in on Yelp you get a free order of deviled eggs or a pastry. We opted for the deviled eggs. They were very good as well. Additionally, we ordered a dozen oysters on the half shell, the avocado citrus appetizer, Caesar salad with chilled shrimp, and lastly and a la carte biscuit. For the oysters we could choose between eastern and gulf, I typically like eastern but that's just preference. It came with cocktail sauce, horseradish, and citrus mignonette. The mignonette was delicious, but the oysters were not as clean as I expected. There were pieces of shell in with the oyster so as you at it, you would but into pieces of shell. For the price, I expected the have clean oysters, but other than that, that were food. The avocado citrus was good, and the Cesar salad was good as well. We really enjoyed the anchovies. read more

Words cannot explain the delightful surprise of dining at Daily Gather! I ordered the Lavender 75 and the Hibiscus Collins and they were both amazing. For apps I ordered the shrimp cocktail and the garden salad. The shrimp cocktail was seasoned perfectly, infused with a ton of flavor. The dressing on the garden salad was to die for. For my main meal, I ordered the trout almondine and I can honestly say, this meal changed my opinion on trout. The butter made the meal phenomenal, while still maintaining the natural integrity of the trout. For dessert I had the citrus crème brûlée, and it was the best crème brûlée I had ever had. I highly recommend Daily Gather, and cannot wait to return. read more

Made a reservation for 6 on a Sunday at 12:15, arrived at 12, they sat us right away which was nice since we were early, we sat there on the patio and waitress passed by us a couple times without saying hello. We waited 15 mins for a proper greet, and another 15 mins for drinks. I swear I've never witness such a slow and unfriendly service ever. When the rest of our guest arrived, we decided to wait for our drinks, chug them, pay, then leave the establishment. It was such a shame since I was excited to try some of their dishes. Business Lunch Was headed to the Yardhouse but the "new" place caught our eye so we decided to give it a try. Our experience was average with neither service nor food wowing. The hostess stand seemed a bit disorganized as they were having trouble finding the reservation of the guest ahead of us. We were seated promptly and the waiter brought menus and drinks but then had to be flagged for is to order and then again for a water refill. The large venison and black bean chili I had was undersized and luke warm. My guest's sandwich was skimpily built. The patio seating was nice but not enough to make either of us want to come back soon. read more

i was lowkey not sure what to expect due to the mix reviews about food and service, however my dining experience here was v pleasant. made a reservation at noon for two and was promptly seated at the corner booth as requested. on a weekday lunch, the restaurant wasn't too busy and the noise level was low. the interior was beautiful, modern and spacious. we got the crunchy noodle salad, chilled shrimp and the burger. the food came out pretty fast considering how hungry we were. the crunchy noodle salad was super delicious and a healthy option as well. the chilled shrimp was a good appetizer to share. then the burger looked was juicy and delicious, and fries were yummy as well. our server was checking on us a couple of times to see if we need anything, and the manager i believe also came by to make sure everything was all good. i ordered a grapefruit juice which i got at the end of the meal however it worked out just fine because i totally forgot about it lol. and the drink was refreshing. overall i really enjoyed my lunch here and i def do want to check back and try other dishes for dinner. the restroom color scheme is simple yet cute and it's clean. the parking can be a bit difficult but you can always park at the garage. read more

Joined my family for brunch today after high recommendations from my sister who previously raved about their dinner. We waited approximately an hour for an outside table for a party of 8. Allow me to say this- the service was excellent - the bartender, hostess and server were all great. In terms of drinks- try the Lavender 75- so good. Now, the food- brunch was mediocre. There were minimal lunch options and there were no standouts. My party had the two egg breakfast, burger, French toast and Caesar salad with salmon. Honestly, the food was average at best. I'd go back to eat baskets of just those biscuits. Highly recommend. My husband ordered the fried catfish platter - it was amazing. The catfish nuggets were crunchy and HOT (temperature), the fries were perfectly seasoned and the hush puppy was a crunch heard around the globe. Sadly, the shrimp and grits arrived to the table at room temp. The flavor was really good, but I was worried to mention the temp issue and have the kitchen nuke them in the microwave. The red beans and rice were similarly room temp and congealed. The restaurant atmosphere was lovely, the service was solid, and on a Tuesday evening we could have walked in and been seated quickly. Overall, it was a nice evening with our friends. Sometimes the company makes up for small disappointments.

In my opinion, I give this restaurant a 5-stars, not just because of the food (4 stars), but just the overall experience. The ambiance was great, our server was hilarious, kept us entertained the entire time, and they were convenient nonetheless. They do 20% auto-gratuity as well. Was a calmer brunch with a good vibe, something that is very underrated in a city like Houston. I would recommend this place if you have older adult family in town or if you want an experience more... "demure" for a Sunday. Bradley was an absolute professional. While I was leaving, Johnny Carrabba came out and talked to me for a second. What a nice guy. Full of natural charisma. Reminds me of an old wise guy from casino or Goodfellas. We had a great conversation. I told him how my grandmother was born in Bryan Texas in 1927. He told me about his family that migrated there in 1905. He also mentioned his family had a store on Canal Street. I had no idea. An exceptional person, a legend in the restaurant industry here in Houston, Texas. It was great to meet you today Johnny. Thank you for your professionalism and hospitality and also thank you for serving some of the best food in Houston, Texas! Food: as you can see from all my pictures of the food is simply amazing. The best cornbread in the world. The best pot roast. The best sticky ribs. The best desserts. Everything here is phenomenal. Lunch dinner brunch you cannot go wrong.
