Coffee shops are kinda my thing. If there is a local shop, I will stop by. Before my visit I had never heard of them. From the walk up, I immediately felt it would be a good visit. Greeted immediately. Went to the register, the barista let me know she'd be with me. (This is something I feel lot of people don't do in customer service) I ordered a Cuban with Oatmilk. (It's my favorite drink and if it's on the menu, I'll likely order) For breakfast I had the broccoli and goat cheese quiche. Cuban was great and the quiche was good too!! I chatted with someone who worked there and she was very pleasant. I wish I had asked her name. She was cleaning windows and rearranging plants. I'm a crazy plant lady so this was right up my alley.. Very laid back space. Restroom was very cute and clean. They have tables but also a sofa and chairs you can chill in. All in all this space was nice and prices reasonable. read more

LOVE Daily Grind!! Best neighborhood hidden gem. Their food and coffee is amazing. They have a huge variety ranging from bagels, sweet treats, to breakfast and lunch sandwiches, and more. I love the hipster bee latte which has a good mix of honey and cinnamon and quality coffee. Perfect blend and you can taste the coffee which I love. I love their breakfast sandwiches so much, but today I opted for their turkey pesto sandwich and added avocado. It was loaded and so delicious and fresh. The balsamic glaze and pesto mayo is so good. This is an awesome space to study or have a group meeting!! Super welcoming and they have lots of games out. The staff here is also super friendly, kind, and helpful! Have you ever walked into a business and every single person working looks right through you, gives you dirty looks, and ignores you repeatedly? And you're doing nothing but smiling and minding your own business? If so, this is the ultimate place for you. Intentionally chose this coffee shop because of all of the rave reviews. They must be incentivized or fake as this was the most unfriendly and unwelcoming coffee place I have ever been to in Nashville. Maybe of all time. And I don't need any special attention. I'm a black coffee drinker, but to be intentionally rude and dismissive is completely unnecessary and there is no excuse for it. There wasn't a single person in the place other than a gentleman waiting on his coffee, and the five or six staff members looked at me consistently and ignored me repeatedly as if I was not worthy of their time. I don't know what they could possibly be busy with, but maybe they were. I understand things happen and the least they could do was tell me they would be right with me, but oh no, being intentionally rude was much more important. Multiple staff members went to the register and back, looked at me and ignored me until finally I guess they decided I wasn't going to give up and one of the staff approached me and rudely said "Do you know what you want?" What a rude question to ask someone who clearly had been looking at the menu for five minutes and for that to be the first thing you say to a customer. I practically had it memorized because there was nothing else to do. Not a hello, nothing. I have to hand it to them. They put on an excellent facade. Seeing a pride flag hanging out front, I felt comfortable and thought I would be safe here but clearly not. Just like everywhere else in the south, southern hospitality is conditional, and you are completely dismissed and ostracized unless you look just like them. Only recommended unless you really like being treated like dirt or are a glutton for punishment. The coffee was also not good. Take these other fake reviews with a grain of salt. read more

Daily Grind has officially earned the fifth star, and my absolute loyalty as my go-to neighborhood coffee shop! Over the past year, the new ownership, which are part of "the family", which in itself makes me so happy, have completely changed the vibe of Daily Grind. From a counter in a shared space to a full blown coffee shop, the transformation has been delightful to see and I am beyond thrilled. With the updates physically, they have also updated their offerings of drinks, snacks and actual food. They still offer all the classics you are accustomed to including your coffees, teas, muffins, donuts, etc...and now offer a good selection of sandwiches and other hot breakfast items. Last time I was here, it was an order and go place, but now every table is full with people hanging out, and the variety of folks is such a great sight as well! Very quiet when I came in around 7:15 - I really liked the sort of whimsical feel with it being so open, one wall being all window, and bright colors displayed with plants throughout. I ordered a Maple latte and the Ultimate breakfast sandwich on a Gluten-free bagel (MY EXCITEMENT) - I like my lattes sweeter but not all sugar and my opinion is they NAILED it. I'm especially shocked they have gluten free bread AND a gluten free bagel option. The bagel was great, I didn't get an overwhelming sense of eating something out of the ordinary which can sometimes be the case with gluten alternatives On top of that, staff was super friendly and prompt with orders! Highly recommend Daily Grind! This morning was our first time trying out DG and it was phenomenal. Service was excellent, the vibes were cozy and welcoming, and the breakfast??? DELICIOUS. I ordered the wonky brew and the crustless quiche with meat, couldn't get enough. My boyfriend got the California sandwich and loved it as well. Hands down, my favorite coffee shop in Nashville. Not pretentious, just really good coffee and an impressive food menu for the space. The owners are clearly passionate about the business and we have enjoyed their offerings via Uber Eats. We finally made it in to enjoy a cup of coffee and breakfast treat and we enjoyed the space. It is a great repurposing of what appears to be a car lot office. Lots of unique options including clever nick nacks and hard to beat food and drink. This is my 2nd time reviewing Daily Grind. The first review being on Google. I've come here for about a month averaging a day or 2 in a week and the service has always been consistently pleasant, ambiance is still a 10/10, food is always fresh and good. My favorite is the split bagel. I get the everything bagel. It is so good. The French onion cream cheese is great. I also got fruit as my side and it was all fresh. I hate a nasty fruit bowl. . Stopped by the Daily Grind for a quick coffee to go. However, once inside, the welcoming atmosphere was so inviting that I decided to sit and enjoy my Americano. My beverage was delicious. I also enjoyed learning the story behind this amazing hidden gem from owner Stevyn. He was very personable and customer friendly, which added to the overall vibe of the establishment. My bf and I stopped here on a roadtrip and it was our favorite coffee shop on the trip! They had great regular bagels and great GLUTEN FREE BAGELS! I also got strawberry-banana smoothie and an iced latte and I loved it. They have other gluten free options as well, like muffins and cookies.
