I lowkey missed this place at first. it's located inside a house building thing and very easy to miss lol. they have parking in front of the storefront but not a lot of stalls. luckily there's the lots across the street. tip: if you don't mind walking and know you won't be there for too long, snag at spot at the coin lot. otherwise it's a $0.75 rate per hour at the credit card lots. the seating is outside and there isn't a lot so you might not be able to hang out there on a busy day but it wasn't busy when i went. It's all gonna be 5star here. If you ever wake up feeling like I want the best breakfast and matcha in existence then I've found a place for you. We've recently moved to Hawaii Kai. It's only 12 minutes to drive to Daily Whisk Matcha, thank God. If it was 25 minutes I'd still make the journey. I love the quality and simplicity of the drinks and food. Just straight up good stuff my go to is the arabiki roll but hubby loves the cheesey mushroom bun. It's a pocket of goodness. So fresh and so soft are the baked goods here. I love the seasonal strawberry matcha on ice and they even have the all too famous pumpkin spice that's so popular during the holiday season. Staff are super friendly and fast. I ordered the seasonal strawberry Matcha with macadamia milk and the simple butter pan. The drink was lightly sweetened, refreshing, and a perfect size. The bread was sweet and salty, fluffy, and warm. The service was amazing, they made me smile on my birthday, and I hope to come and visit them every day while I'm still on the island. I love the overall chill vibe. Restrooms were clean and everything just fit right. Only one down side, it's such a beautiful hole in the wall but, hard to see their sign from the street. Have been wanting to try out this spot and it's in a cute location. Got the matchacano ($5.50), which is a hot matcha. I don't love the gimmicks around the way this is advertised. The matcha itself was mediocre. It had a bit of a brown tinge to it, which to me says the matcha itself is of lower quality or oxidized. I was expecting the matcha to be bright green in color, which is the color the ceremonial matcha I use is when you open a fresh tin. Over time, the matcha changes in color and becomes a darker green. It becomes more brown when it's really old (which I have also seen in my kitchen). Looking at other photos this lighter color does seem to be consistent with the other drinks made here. The beverage also wasn't very frothy, which one should get if whisking a high quality matcha. I also realized that the matcha wasn't mixed well, as there was a large lump at the bottom with all of the powder when I got to the bottom of my beverage. I was fairly disappointed with the quality of this, but it's a cute spot, so if you have lower matcha standards it'll do. Parking is easy in the front. read more

I can't believe that it's taken me so many months to visit Daily Whisk Matcha again...and it was worthwhile. Requested their Summer specialty drink Iced Strawberry Matcha Latte. They offered oatmilk as an alternative. It was fantastic...broke da mouth fantastic. They use a high grade of matcha and it appears they make their strawberry sauce as well. Daily Whisk Matcha is a cozy spot, though it took me a good five minutes to locate it after the map showed that I arrived, and the parking is a bit tight and small. We tried the matcha and hojicha drinks with macadamia milk and their fruit sando. As a matcha fan, I found the matcha lacked the bold, umami punch I usually love, so it wasn't quite my thing. We must teach the next generation - If you want a matcha drink, go to a place that specializes in matcha! They do it right here, get the hojicha too, I got the hojicha latte because of the other reviews and was not disappointed. We added Mac nut syrup as sweetener and it was perfect, lot of places make it too sweet, not here. They also have oat milk, great for all us lactose intolerant picky drinkers. Compostable cups and straws (but not paper straws, I hate those. The ones here hold up all day). We also got one of each bun - salt & butter bun, mushroom bun, and Arabiki sausage (with bacon!). They are not pictured because they were eaten so fast. (Baked fresh daily and served warm, you should try it too) Location: on 11th Ave in a little house across the street from Paul Mitchell hair school, same bldg as Ten Tomorrow. Parking: there are 6 spaces (free) in the tiny lot. Or park in the muni lot across the street. Take out/in: it's mostly a takeout window, but there were a few stools to sit on and watch the parking lot. My daughter said this is the type of cafe you see when they do "cafe hopping". Cute spot in Kaimuki! Its a shared space with ten ten with several parking out front. I always come too late for their food items, but I've always gotten their coffee. Most recently they started doing latte art on the weekdays which is really cute/fun! most of the drinks start at about $5/each. I had to take my car in for servicing in Kaimuki, so I decided to do a little "field trip." I looked up the "Best of Kaimuki" on Yelp. As I was going to make several stops, I could only do small samples at each stop. I had a strawberry matcha latte and a butter and salt roll; both were YUM! This place was SO amazing! This place is like a hidden gem for matcha. It's by the store called "Ten Tomorrow" so when you see that, it will will be on the left side when you arrive. Little parking so I suggest the paid parking across the street. Some seating around, it's all outdoors. Very beautiful view of the sun coming through. The service is so amazing. The employees are so sweet and friendly. The matcha is so sweet and delicious. Good pricing about $6.50 for my drink and $2 buns! Was a great way to get breakfast. I'll definitely come back again. ***4.5 STARS*** Social media is not to be underestimated. It's been WEEKS now since I've seen posts of various iced drinks from Daily Whisk Matcha (DWM). I've been wanting to come here but never happened. I tried to coordinate a couple of times but it never fruited. Step in extraordinaire Nadine C. (aka Auntie). She lured me out of bed on a lazy Saturday morning and picked me up from my home and took me "hostage". We had a Japanese lunch and then she whispers "matcha" and the next thing I know, we're heading to Kaimuki. Located in the Ten Tomorrow boutique on 11th Ave just across Paul Mitchell School and Subway, DWM is a quaint café offering hot and cold matcha themed concoctions. Business hours are limited here as they're currently open daily from 8am - 2pm. We were still somewhat full from just eating lunch and I had the darnedest time trying to decide between matcha or hojicha. Auntie is so clever because she came up with a clever solution: Both and ask for extra cups so we can share. DWM is very diet friendly as you customize your drinks from either dairy (whole milk) or non-dairy (almond, oat or soy milk where there is a surcharge) and a good selection of sweeteners (Maui Lavender, Big Island Honey, Laie Vanilla or Macadamia Nut at a surcharge, or Cane Sugar). We ordered our drinks and the wait time didn't seem bad at all. Perhaps we had such a great time catching up because the staff delivered our drinks to our table. THE VERDICT: If you're looking or something that's worthy of posting on social media, the iced matcha latte is for you. The green color documented nicely. Don't get me wrong as it tasted good until I took a sip of the iced hojicha latte. Hands down we both preferred the hojicha as the roasted flavor was pronounced and really appreciated the earthiness of hojicha. The staff were so friendly and cordial to us. They were patient, explained their menu selection and offered valuable suggestions. How good was the iced hojicha latte? So good that we got 2 more for the road to be consumed later in the day. DWM will for sure be a regular stop for me because it's not too far from my office. I saw that the matcha colada was launching this weekend on their Instagram so decided to try since I've tried a few of their drinks before. The drink came out fast after ordering. Aesthetically it matches its name. You can see the colada part on the bottom and matcha on top. Even when mixing the matcha with the colada part, the matcha wasn't overpowering, at the end I could still taste the earthiness of the matcha and the colada part still tasted like pineapple and coconut. I love matcha so matcha! So seeing Daily Whisk Matcha all over my Instagram feed and reading fellow Yelp reviews I knew I had to pay a visit! My friend and I came in the early afternoon. I prefer my matcha to taste more traditional and on the bitter end. Oftentimes when I order matcha at cafes they tend to overly sweeten it, masking its true taste. I'm happy to say the Iced Matcha-cano I ordered wasn't the case! The drink was exactly what I was looking for--light, refreshing, and earthy. Although the drink comes unsweetened, the lady added a pump of cane sugar into my drink which was the perfect balance. My friend got the Iced Matcha Tea Latte and added Maui Lavender. The layout is small and breezy, sharing a space with Ten Tomorrow. The lady working was super sweet and provided her recommendations. You order and grab your drinks at the counter and take it to go or sip on at their outdoor seating. Parking is limited as there are about five stalls in their lot. This is really more of a 4-1/2 star review. I ordered the hojicha, which was oddly light. Then I got closer to the bottom and realized I needed to swirl! Try again next time, because I do love a good hojicha! My daughter ordered the iced matcha tea latte with lavender syrup. They use Pono Potions, which we have at home and are totally underwhelmed by. But this drink was perfect! Just the right amount of sweetness and lavender! We were pleasantly surprised by this and would totally get it again. I think the bottle we have at home is defective. :( And now, onto the star of MY show...We also ordered the simple salt and butter bun and the cheese and mushroom puff. Honestly I do not know what fresh magic this is, but these buns were so amazing we had to go back to get more! I ate 3 salt and butter buns! They were that good. The parking is a little tight on premise but there is a public lot across the street! There is a bit of seating - one longish bench, some counter seats (about 4), a nice chair with side table, and a table that seats 4. I feel like it's just the right amount! I ordered one matcha latte, one hojicha latte, and one hapa latte. Maybe I prefer my matcha a little stronger, but the matcha here tastes watered down. I don't recommend going here for the matcha taste but I can understand why it's a popular spot. Additionally, the parking is a little difficult. Daily Whisk Matcha is a great stop on a hot day if you're looking for something refreshing. The cute atmosphere is a plus too. They have an outdoor seating lanai lined with leaves and flowers. There's a few stalls in front, but if you can't find parking there's plenty of parking across the street at the public parking lot. I've tried their matcha latte and hojicha lattes, both with sweetener. The sweetness was just right and didn't overwhelm the drinks, they still kept a strong tea flavor. The drinks were also super creamy and weren't watered down at all. Overall, these drinks were a great treat that still kept their matcha flavor. It's definitely pricey (about $9 for one drink), but you can tell you're paying for a high quality drink. FINALLY checked out Daily Whisk!! Kept hearing amazing things from my friends and i'm so glad I checked out. I found plenty of parking since I went later in the day. I also got the mushroom pastry and the sausage one which was so good. The workers were so sweet giving us recommendations since it was our first time. I love matcha and seeing posts about this place on Instagram so I knew I had to try it out :) I saw they also have those Japanese fruit sandwiches so we decided to go this morning at about 10am. I got the matcha iced latte, with oatmilk and vanilla syrup. It came out to about $9 which was very steep for me considering it wasn't that big (hence the 4 out of 5 stars). The flavor was good, perfectly sweetened and smooth.. but the matcha flavor wasn't too deep (probably since I ordered it with milk and vanilla syrup). Unfortunately, they were out of the fruit sandwiches :( but I'll be back to try them and their salt and butter buns. Luckily when we went, there were ample stalls in the mini parking lot up front (about 6) so parking was quick and easy. I definitely recommend trying this place out, but due to the prices, I think it will be more of a "once in a while" treat. read more

As a person who is always looking for good (and new) matcha/green tea places, I can't believe it took me so long to try this place. The place was small, but they utilized the spacing well. With multiple tables and seatings all across the house. They have 5-6 parking out front in their lot. The Hapa Matcha Latte was great! It was blended with matcha on top and hojicha on the bottom. The sweetness of the hojicha mixed well with the matcha! The Matcha Tea Latte is the usual matcha latte, but I could tell the quality of matcha used tasted authentic and very similar to matcha's I've had in Japan!
