I don't know what has happened at this location but it used to be great. The food was always correct and tasty. The employees friendly but in the past few months it's gone downhill in both those categories. The drive through has gotten my order wrong the past 3 times. They are ALWAYS out of something. They refuse to take "special" orders, it's against the rules. And if you read the reviews on here you will see that they ONLY respond to the glowing reviews, never to the complaints. I also did a complaint via the contact us link on their webpage and no surprise here, I never heard a peep from them. Hopefully this is a management issue and the owners will step in and fix it soon! I won't be back anytime soon, no matter how great the hot dogs are! read more

Dairi-O is a fun place to go for a treat, but be prepared for a long wait if you choose to use their drive-through.

This was my first time eating at Dairi-O and I was very pleased! I ordered the cheeseburger pita that came with ground beef, shredded cheese, green peppers, onions and mayo. I got the crinkle cut fries and a drink. I loved that it came conveniently in a box and with a fork because there was no way I could've picked it up due to its size! The whole dining area was clean, even though busy, and the staff was friendly too. I was a little confused with the menu due to the lack of details about the toppings, but soon found a plaque on the counter when I ordered. They also had several flavors of icecream but I was too stuffed to attempt. Definitely will go back again and also the drive thru is nice! The open, modern decor made it very appealing and also not feel crowded compared to the number of people that were there. read more

This particular location is ALWAYS super busy. But it's also always worth the wait. They are very quick with ordering and getting your food out. I've never had any issues with my food or with the staff. My go to order is always the Jalapeño Ranch Chicken Salad. You would not believe the size of the salads here! I am never able to finish it and always end up take my leftovers home. The banana split is phenomenal, and one banana split is more than enough for two people. read more

I've given this place several attempts, but something is always wrong. If it's not one of the employees getting upset at my son for asking to sample a type of ice cream before he makes a choice, it's completely wrong orders, or if I'm lucky.. watching 6 people who ordered after me get their food because they lost my order. Hell, I wouldn't mind having to "pull up to the white line" and waiting for fresh food if they actually got the order right (and didnt have a disrespectful 90 sanitation grade; how fresh is that?). Went today at lunch. There were two lines for ordering. The guy directing traffic told me to go in the credit card line it was quicker. What a mistake. We were in line 20 minutes. The other line had three to four cars go through for every one that went through in our line. The girl taking the orders was in training. Why on earth would you have someone in training in the busy Sunday lunch time. Very poor management. Way to much time spent in the line waiting. read more

Dairio is a family favorite!!! I grew up going to the original Dairio in King, and this location is just as good. Jeff (owner, his father started Dairio) is such a nice, down to earth guy. Just a step up from your typical fast food restaurant. Had the monster burger combo and forgot to add cheese (was choosing from the toppings list, and it didn't list cheese so I just assumed it came with cheese). Other than the cheese lacking lol, it was a very good burger! Almost had a whopper flavor, but I could tell it was fresh. Unfortunately, they did get my burger wrong, so I just took the toppings off that I didn't want. The meal it's self is pretty big for being just a regular size. I can't imagine what the large is like. Wasn't a huge fan of the ice cream. They need heavenly hash!! Nice place to eat with the family when we need something quick and cheap. read more

I've only had their burgers and fries, but definitely a good burger if you're looking for a traditional diner / outdoor cookout style experience. The burgers come with whatever you want on it - this threw me the first time I came, because there wasn't a sign in the drive-through to tell you what those options are.You can choose from the regular lettuce, tomato, pickles, onion, relish, etc, but then there's also the options of slaw, bbq slaw, chili, pickled jalapenos. Nice opportunity to customize your burger experience. The fries are thick cut and well-seasoned. Haven't had the ice cream yet, but I think I'll be back to try it at another time. read more

Something about Dairi-O feels like a throwback. It's not quite Norman Rockwell-at-the-malt shop, but there is an old school, ice cream parlor vibe to it. Yes, they have both hard ice cream and soft serve, cones and cups. They also have a bunch of classic add-ons like sprinkles and crumbled cookies too. But beyond ice cream they also offer hot dogs, burgers, fries and the like. Prices are pretty reasonable too. Nothing wrong with a visit to Dairi-O once in awhile to get your burger and ice cream fix. The kids love it. read more

Staff in the drive thru were incredibly friendly. Found it to be fast and efficient. Had it not been for this I would have left fewer stars than the 3 I gave them. Fries would have been great had they been seasoned AT ALL! Even a little bit would have been better than nothing at all. They were hot and crunchy, but the lack of seasoning left them extremely bland! Corn dog was not cooked long enough and was very doughy in the middle. Service was a 5! We eat here a lot. Kids love it. They can get busy, but service is usually quick. It's a good kid friendly quick meal.

Loved this place. Extensive menu, you can go often and not eat the same thing twice. Service is a bit slow, but the food is fresh. After a few visits, I tried the souvlaki to get off the burger and hot dog trail. Definitely recommend. Plenty of parking, friendly staff, large dining area. First off the food is real good. In my opinion the best hot dogs and ice cream in the Triad can be gotten at a Dairi-O. The fries are good and plentiful, so why only 2 Stars...really poor customer service at the Clemons location. I recently purchased a soft serve ice cream Sundae at the drive-thru and the window attendant failed to provide the plastic spoon I needed to eat the sundae. No big deal, I just asked for another one. Instead of just handing me a cheap plastic spoon the attendant launches into tirade and wanted to argue that he knew that he already gave me a spoon and I just needed to find it. Finally another employee heard what was going on and came over to give me a spoon. Clearly either a training issue here or a culture where employees feel it is OK to treat customers in this manner. Love the hotdogs, the monster burger is good too. The fries are crinkle cut but with a touch of seasoning. You can tell the food is being made fresh. Imagine a fast food place like Burger King or McDonald's only instead of mystery meat and ingredients sitting for hours you have fresh made fast food. Dairio is great, but I have one complaint. Every time I eat there the food is always different. I usually eat there 2 maybe 3 times a week. Sometimes the fries will almost be burnt and have NO seasoning on them, and other times they will be cooked just right. My big complaint is the variability of the food. It is never the same as it was the last time. read more

Let me start this by saying, I cannot wait for Chick 'fil A to open. Came here last Saturday, Feb 20th and had a terrible experience. Went through the drive thru and ordered a spicy chicken sandwich. The employee behind the window asked me to pull up front because they needed more time to make the sandwich. Waited 9 minutes exactly and went inside to check on the status of my meal and saw that nothing had been made yet. Finally after waiting another 10 min, I left with a cold sandwich and fries. The drive thru wait time is inefficient and matter of fact, I even had a woman yell at me for keeping my car in the parking spot that the EMPLOYEE told me to go to. Why did the employee not tell the lady this and defend me? Terrible service for sub par food. Worst thing is, this wasn't the first time they have given me bad service. read more

First time at this location and even though the place was standing room only I don't see the attraction the monster burger I had was some sort of preformed meat like flavorless block with a green tomato and a thin covering of shredded lettuce the bun was great nicely toasted but in all it wasn't very appetizing at all. As a Diabetic Dairo's is a guilty pleasure from time to time. Great Hot Dogs & Hamburgers! My review tonight not about the food. The feature combo is a Hot Dog Combo Fries & Drink. I ordered 2 in the Drive Thru. Unknown to me when I was handed the bag with 4 Dogs & 2 Fries the Fries were on top. I live a mile away. Took the bag out of the passenger seat. All the Fries in the Garage floor. I know they are trying to get profit margin & it costs a lot to be in business. The Employees May be trained to put the Fries on the top of the Bag w/4 Hot Dogs. Good place to eat. The ice cream and fries are great. The BLT is very good. I don't particularly like the hamburgers. They are just blah. Came here for the first time last Saturday. Food was great, couldn't finish the fries, prices were good and place was clean. Only complaints-we weren't told fish took an extra 7 minutes so the wait for our order was longer than we anticipated and the noise level was deafening. Other than that i was pleasantly surprised.
