So a friend and I stopped here on our road trip from the Raleigh/Durham area to the Mountains, I was intrigued when my friend shared how diverse the menu was(I was a first timer! The restaurant was extremely busy but it was very well kept! I was so impressed at how clean it was! I will say that that there was slim to no organization and/or initiative from the employees who were taking the food orders and you could not hear the person calling well the order was ready for pick up. My food was decent-I made my own burger and got a side of fries and a drink. I thought it was reasonably priced but the customer service and efficiency needs work in my opinion.

I came to pick up some of the seasonal soup, Dairi-o just added back to their menu. I had some last week at their Asheboro location, and I loved it. 12 ounces for $5.99. It is much more a stew than a soup, thick a bit mild, but very flavorful. It consists of ground beef, black beans, pinto beans, chopped white onion, chili powder, herbs and spices, and a touch of garlic. I added shredded cheese, and I thought it added a lot. In fact, next time, and that will be soon, I will ask for the cheese to be double - a single serving was 50 cents. I also added a packet of Texas Pete at various times as I ate the chili, nice heat level. You get saltines and sour cream, all comes together well. I recommend this dish, come and enjoy.

Absolutely nothing beats a hot dog meal paired with a chocolate milkshake from Dairi-O !! The food is always so good and the service here is great, I also really like how they operate the drive thru line at this location because it's much faster service than most fast food restaurants in Clemmons.

Updating my review since we continue to rave about Dairi-O. Especially the ice cream, but we also enjoy the chicken, burgers, hotdogs, and salads. We always make a point to stop here when traveling through the area. Typically I opt for the apple crisp salad with fried chicken, fries, and ice cream. Even when busy, they maintain an efficient workflow with great customer service. Only issue is that they continue to put cheese on the salad no matter how many times I ask for no cheese. Since the salads are likely prepped in advance, I suggest a separate package/section for the cheese. Nonetheless, the salads here are large, crisp, and tasty. They give the impression that I'm eating healthy alongside the salty crinkle fries and creamy ice cream. Most recently we tried the decadent hot fudge cake ice cream sundae!

First time going to this location, but I've been to this restaurant several times before. I am always impressed at how busy this place is no matter what time of day you're here. The service is great as always. The drive-through line is long, but seems to move fairly quick. On this visit, I opted to try the all beef foot-long 1/3 pound hotdog combo with onion rings. YOUNG and rings were amazing and made fresh to order taste it just like homemade. Hotdog is always was amazing this time I got it fully dressed, which comes with mustard, onion chili and slaw. My wife got the two dog combo with french fries along with mustard and onion on the hotdogs. I have yet to try the dessert menu of Sundae's and shakes as I am never still hungry after I eat the meal, but one day we'll have to try it. They look amazing. Definitely recommend that only this restaurant at this location as I will be coming back in the future.

Dairi-O is a local favorite! Food is always fresh and hot and I have yet to find something I don't like on the menu. Their burgers and hotdogs are amazing and they have several topping options to choose from. Chili is great quality as well. I often time get the chicken strips-they're white breast chicken and not full of fillers like what you'd imagine at a fast food restaurant. The homemade ranch is also a showstopper. Definitely stop by, you won't be disappointed. This location is consistently great and is conveniently located.

Outstanding service at the Clemmons location! I placed my order at 5:08 and received my burger by 5:09- made to order mind you. I've been to Dairi-O a few times, and this location most of the time, and I've never been dissatisfied. But the food tonight was especially good to me. I tried the banana pudding ice cream for the first time and it was SO good, I almost got another. I enjoyed my meal inside tonight too, which I normally don't, but the restaurant is quite spacious and they have a variety of seating arrangements to accommodate multiple group sizes. I also liked how they call out your order over the speakers.

We stopped here on a road trip on Memorial Day with our teenage son and his girlfriend. First of all, the signage from the interstate to Dair-o was fabulous. There was a sign at every turn telling you which way to go. We were amazed that the parking lot was packed when we arrived as it was well after 1 pm. The place gave off a very Chick-fil-a vibe -- spacious, clean, great service and a red and white motif. It was a hard decision whether to go with ice cream or a meal. I've had their soft serve before which was fabulous but decided to go with their chicken souvlaki combo which sweet potato fries. The souvlaki had plenty of peppers and onions with a better flavor than I expected. Tatziki was good and I loved the waffle sweet potato fries. Husband enjoyed his burger and son liked his chicken tenders. We first heard about this place from our vegetarian daughter -- great that they have vegetarian options. We'll definitely stop again if in the area. Please bring one to Raleigh!

The drive through here can be a bit busy sometimes with the interstate so close by. Other than the sometimes longer busier waits, the service is good. It's on par with all Dairi-O for food. Great ice creams and burgers, fries, shakes

The menu is primarily hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken sandwiches, NC style BBQ, and of course, milk shakes. Until recently there were no spots that had any inside seating, but this is gradually changing. They are known for the small building with drive thru lanes on both sides, and this plus the congestion surrounding many of their locations can make getting in and out a challenge, though this one in not as bad as many! The burgers and chicken sandwiches here are far superior to the offerings of any national chain l, with the possible exception of a properly staffed and operating Culver's - the one in Winston is not one of those, the one in Kernersville most certainly is. The number of locals spots that rival the offerings here is very small. I ordered each of my favorite items here - Bacon Cheeseburger and the Crispy, Spicy Fried Chicken Sandwich. The time in line here are generally a bit longer than the larger chains, but still around 10 minutes. The burger was excellent and well sized as alway, these folks just know how to make a great burger. And the crispy, spicy chicken sandwich is as good as anyone's, including the cult one at Popeyes! Only the BYO at Bad Daddy's is possibly a bit better, and definitely is bigger! I have found the food at Cook Out locations to be consistently excellent with very few bad experiences. My server was one of at least three working that evening, and she stayed moving at a brisk pace amongst all the diners in her section. This meant I did have to wait a bit to place my order, but not unreasonably so. After submitting my order, the initial salad course came with minimal wait. I found the bowl's contents simple yet fresh, and I was especially pleased at the quality of the cranberry vinaigrette. Just before I swept up the last greens from the salad, my main course arrived: the Mediterranean seafood pasta. I wasn't quite as impressed by this phase of the meal, however. The amount of calamari in particular was plenty, but I found it a bit too rubbery for my preferences. There were a few good-sized shrimp in the plate also, and their texture was better than the calamari's. But these items just didn't seem to mesh well with the flavors of the marinara, and the peppers and tomatoes didn't help either. There wasn't any real melding of the individual ingredients into a complete dish; each component felt as though they'd been introduced to the others at the last possible moment, and the taste of each didn't contribute to the others in a favorable way. [Seasoning the seafood more substantially, softening the added fruit and veggies with additional cooking, and using a more robust sauce would've helped, I think. Or perhaps a white wine and garlic sauce with the seafood, accompanied by angel hair instead of the spaghetti noodles I received.] All this leads me to believe I simply ordered the wrong dish for my tastes (though I typically enjoy the combination of pasta and seafood). I think I'll come back in the future and try another entree to see if that goes better. For now, though, I'll hold the rating at three stars.

Review for Yelp (Celiac & Gluten-Free Warning)…read more As someone with celiac disease, I take every precaution before dining out -- including calling ahead, researching, and confirming that restaurants understand and follow safe gluten-free protocols. Before visiting this location, I called and spoke with staff who assured me that they take gluten cross-contamination seriously and could safely accommodate celiac guests. Unfortunately, that turned out to be completely untrue. After eating here, I became extremely sick -- for several days. The reaction was so severe I thought I might need to go to the hospital. It was clear from the symptoms that I had been glutened. What makes this worse is that I had trusted their reassurance that they understood safe handling and preparation practices. From what I personally observed, cross-contamination was happening everywhere. Employees were hovering directly over food without washing hands or changing gloves. Utensils were being reused between gluten and gluten-free items, and surfaces didn't appear to be cleaned properly between orders. It was honestly a sanitation nightmare, especially for anyone with medical dietary restrictions. Even my kids -- who are not celiac -- were turned off by how unclean everything looked. It's one thing to make a mistake, but to claim that your establishment is safe for gluten-free diners when it's clearly not is misleading and potentially dangerous. I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone who has celiac disease, gluten intolerance, or any kind of food sensitivity. This experience was frightening, disappointing, and completely avoidable if proper food safety practices had been followed. Please take this review as a serious warning -- this is not a gluten-free safe environment, and the lack of training and care could genuinely harm someone with a medical condition.

Let's take my recent breakfast visit, when I was stuck standing at the counter for five minutes just to place my order. There were no more than three other customers in the restaurant, so it's not as though there was an intense demand. Once the staff finally took my order, I had to repeat every bit of the request at least twice and sometimes thrice. Not a complex order either, but just a biscuit combo. The order wasn't filled very quickly, and when it was I found the biscuit to be far, far too brown (a common trait among the local franchises). Maybe someone out there likes a crispy biscuit, but I do not and I doubt many others want that either. I foolishly thought making an online dinner order might go better, but it didn't, as I learned in a separate visit. The Bojangles app directed me to call the restaurant once I arrived...and no one answered the phone. I met a staff member at the door who was bringing my food, and when I inquired she said only managers are permitted to answer the phone. I decided it might be wise to check my food order, and thankfully I did as the drink selection I made wasn't filled correctly. Back into the restaurant I went, and I waited at the counter for at least a minute before being acknowledged (again, not busy in the least). The staff acknowledged the error and made it right, but never bothered to apologize. Why can't we clone the Yadkinville version of Bojangles and spread the clones down here? Over there they take pride in their work and turn out a good product despite being busy much of the time. How do they get it right over there but we get it so wrong here in the city and its suburbs?
