I came to pick up some of the seasonal soup, Dairi-o just added back to their menu. I had some last week at their Asheboro location, and I loved it. 12 ounces for $5.99. It is much more a stew than a soup, thick a bit mild, but very flavorful. It consists of ground beef, black beans, pinto beans, chopped white onion, chili powder, herbs and spices, and a touch of garlic. I added shredded cheese, and I thought it added a lot. In fact, next time, and that will be soon, I will ask for the cheese to be double - a single serving was 50 cents. I also added a packet of Texas Pete at various times as I ate the chili, nice heat level. You get saltines and sour cream, all comes together well. I recommend this dish, come and enjoy.

Absolutely nothing beats a hot dog meal paired with a chocolate milkshake from Dairi-O !! The food is always so good and the service here is great, I also really like how they operate the drive thru line at this location because it's much faster service than most fast food restaurants in Clemmons.

Updating my review since we continue to rave about Dairi-O. Especially the ice cream, but we also enjoy the chicken, burgers, hotdogs, and salads. We always make a point to stop here when traveling through the area. Typically I opt for the apple crisp salad with fried chicken, fries, and ice cream. Even when busy, they maintain an efficient workflow with great customer service. Only issue is that they continue to put cheese on the salad no matter how many times I ask for no cheese. Since the salads are likely prepped in advance, I suggest a separate package/section for the cheese. Nonetheless, the salads here are large, crisp, and tasty. They give the impression that I'm eating healthy alongside the salty crinkle fries and creamy ice cream. Most recently we tried the decadent hot fudge cake ice cream sundae!

First time going to this location, but I've been to this restaurant several times before. I am always impressed at how busy this place is no matter what time of day you're here. The service is great as always. The drive-through line is long, but seems to move fairly quick. On this visit, I opted to try the all beef foot-long 1/3 pound hotdog combo with onion rings. YOUNG and rings were amazing and made fresh to order taste it just like homemade. Hotdog is always was amazing this time I got it fully dressed, which comes with mustard, onion chili and slaw. My wife got the two dog combo with french fries along with mustard and onion on the hotdogs. I have yet to try the dessert menu of Sundae's and shakes as I am never still hungry after I eat the meal, but one day we'll have to try it. They look amazing. Definitely recommend that only this restaurant at this location as I will be coming back in the future.

Dairi-O is a local favorite! Food is always fresh and hot and I have yet to find something I don't like on the menu. Their burgers and hotdogs are amazing and they have several topping options to choose from. Chili is great quality as well. I often time get the chicken strips-they're white breast chicken and not full of fillers like what you'd imagine at a fast food restaurant. The homemade ranch is also a showstopper. Definitely stop by, you won't be disappointed. This location is consistently great and is conveniently located.

Outstanding service at the Clemmons location! I placed my order at 5:08 and received my burger by 5:09- made to order mind you. I've been to Dairi-O a few times, and this location most of the time, and I've never been dissatisfied. But the food tonight was especially good to me. I tried the banana pudding ice cream for the first time and it was SO good, I almost got another. I enjoyed my meal inside tonight too, which I normally don't, but the restaurant is quite spacious and they have a variety of seating arrangements to accommodate multiple group sizes. I also liked how they call out your order over the speakers.

We stopped here on a road trip on Memorial Day with our teenage son and his girlfriend. First of all, the signage from the interstate to Dair-o was fabulous. There was a sign at every turn telling you which way to go. We were amazed that the parking lot was packed when we arrived as it was well after 1 pm. The place gave off a very Chick-fil-a vibe -- spacious, clean, great service and a red and white motif. It was a hard decision whether to go with ice cream or a meal. I've had their soft serve before which was fabulous but decided to go with their chicken souvlaki combo which sweet potato fries. The souvlaki had plenty of peppers and onions with a better flavor than I expected. Tatziki was good and I loved the waffle sweet potato fries. Husband enjoyed his burger and son liked his chicken tenders. We first heard about this place from our vegetarian daughter -- great that they have vegetarian options. We'll definitely stop again if in the area. Please bring one to Raleigh!

The drive through here can be a bit busy sometimes with the interstate so close by. Other than the sometimes longer busier waits, the service is good. It's on par with all Dairi-O for food. Great ice creams and burgers, fries, shakes

This was my first experience eating from here. The tables were cleaned. As it was my first time here it took me a little while looking at the menu. I ordered a Tomato Basil soup and to go along with I also got a grilled cheese sandwich. The soups was really good and it stayed hot till the end. Also the portion of the soup was really good for the price. I was a tad disappointed with the grilled cheese. As you can see the cheese was barely melted. The bread was nice though. I like dipping it in my soup. I would definitely come back for the soup. Some tables had outlets where you could charge your phone.

    Burnt fish and wilted lettuce

Waited a good few minutes for my food which was fine, I assumed they were cooking things fresh. Got nice hot onion rings only to open my sandwich and find disgusting wilted lettuce and burnt fish

As the name suggests, this is still an operation focused on takeaway dining, though there are some tables available on the sidewalk outside. I'd end up taking my food home on this trip though. Once again I decided to sample the Chicago-style hot dogs offered here. And there have been improvements since my first visit. The product now comes on an actual poppy seed bun, as it should. I don't think the bun was steamed though and that hurts the texture. The hot dog itself had a good snap and taste, and the through-the-garden toppings were loaded well onto the bun. Something's still missing about the overall taste though, as these simply don't measure up to other Chicago-style hot dogs I've had -- including many far away from Chicago. The build of the sandwich looks closer to being correct than it did five years ago, but the flavors are still wrong, and I wish they'd work to figure out what it is they're missing. I placed my order on site rather than calling it in, and the young lady at the counter was pleasant. It took a little longer than I'd expected for the kitchen to prepare my order; maybe they just don't get many requests for the Windy City dog and they're just not well versed in putting it together? This latest experience leaves me scoring Joe's somewhere between two and three stars, and though the food was better than last time I still lean towards the lower side of that range. Maybe their more Carolina-themed food would be better and result in a higher rating, but there are already plenty of places I can go locally for a hot dog fixed "our way," many of which would be at a more competitive price point and with better options for drinks and seating. I wanted to try Joe's because of the hot dog options they have that aren't widely represented elsewhere in this area, and in those respects I still can't find much to love here.

Full disclosure, this place used to be a staple for us. When we moved to the Clemmons area years…read moreago, we would visit them quite frequently. And the food was always on point. To go orders were always fresh and cooked very well, and the few times we dined in, the service was good as well. The reason I'm giving it 3 stars has to do moreso with the past 3 experiences we've had with them. All were to go orders mind you, but there's been a drop off with the food. A few yrs ago, we ordered a chef salad that had all sorts of toppings with it. Unfortunately, the spiral pinwheel filled with meats and cheese had spoiled salami in it. I called and told them what happened and they made it right by comping our next meal there. We gave them another try and the food was ok. We normally get their wings, pizza, salad and maybe another side or 2, but that's usually our go to. The wings we ordered the following visit were dry...even the sauces they were tossed in couldn't save it. So we decided to give them another try tonight since it's been awhile. Ordered wings with a salad and onion rings. These wings weren't dry this time. However, they were not crispy at all. We expect the sauce to contribute to that some, but in this case, that made them more soggy and somewhat chewy? I may not be making much sense in my description, but let's just say I've had way better wings from them and from other places. The skin wasn't crispy at all. The salad was good....nothing out of the ordinary with this one. The only thing that stood out were the onion rings. Oh and their ranch. Their ranch, in my opinion, is the best around. It has to be homemade. I know its been awhile since we've visited them, but we may have to try a pizza from here the next time. I'm not giving them less than 3 stars because I also saw where they're understaffed currently so I do wanna give them some grace. They have plenty of food options there, but when their wings are cooked right like before, they're the best in the area.

I won't lie, I am sad to write this. I was really hoping our last visit (which was our first) was…read morea one off. However, after tonight's visit, I see that it is not. Unfortunately, because of that, I can't rightfully spend my hard earned money there again. When we got there & got our orders in, the place was not busy... shortly thereafter, yes- it popped off. Like I said, we were there & ordered before. Our poppers were ice cold & inedible, first issue. The waitress was great, apologized & let us know she would take them off the bill when we stated we didn't want them re-done. I got my food, no joke, 9 MINUTES before anyone else got their food. 9 minutes when your food is already luke warm is a LONG time (granted, my wrap was good). Next came my daughter & son's burgers. They were cooked well & the fries were hot! That was a win. Until the waitress came out & said it would be ANOTHER 10 minutes before my husband & youngest son's pizzas came out! So, now that's 19 minutes since I first got my food! My husband's pizza comes out 10 minutes later (he did not enjoy his supreme pizza due to too many olives- but that is a him problem. He did mention that the dough was very good), but not my son's... it doesn't come out for another 5-7 minutes! Now we're damn near half an HOUR passed when I got my food. The waitress at the very least brought him out some complimentary cheese fries while he waited, which I appreciated greatly as he's only 6 & he was hungry. She didn't introduce herself, but what I imagine was the manager or a senior server came over & apologized- she did make it right by removing some of the items off our bill. Which, I appreciated. Having been in the food service industry in multiple capacities for over a decade, I find this inexcusable. At what point do you as the manager or the owner decide, "hey- we're clearly too busy to keep up- let's shut it down for a minute until we CAN keep up. Let's stop take out orders & bench incoming diners. I'd rather put quality food out in a well timed fashion than put my name on garbage." The way they time orders also is severely lacking! If you know the wrap is going to be a quick make- then make it last... not first. I also watched another patron have to go up to the register to ask for a refill of water. That should never happen. As I stated at the start of this review, I really wanted to love this place, as I love the atmosphere of a "hole in the wall" type place... but after being severely let down not once, but twice, we won't be back.
