I love this place. This is one of my new favorite ice cream spots. It is a drive through ice cream place or a walk up window. It is super small so it is easy to miss. Their menu is massive with so many different soft serve flavors. I got pistachio and it tasted good. I wish it had a stronger flavor in it but it certainly wasn't bad. They had a ton of Halloween themed shakes and sundaes. This would be a perfect place to come with your kids after practice. They took extra sprinkles seriously and they were a lot less expensive than other places. The seating area is decent with a few outdoor tables. The service was great and very friendly. If I lived closer I would go here all the time.

My go to for soft serve! The theme (train / train station) is fun but isn't done in a tacky way. My favorite order is cake batter with marshmallow charms, yum! Even one of my cats demands a lick or two. Their menu is extensive including many (many!) flavors and topping options, sundaes, train wrecks (their version of a blizzard), floats, and non-dairy offerings. Orders are ready quickly and the staff is always very personable and sound happy to be serving up tasty frozen treats.

The Dairy Depot is a special kind of place, and it's not exactly a secret. This place gets BUSY. Their massive selection of ice cream and soft serve "train wreck" flavors separates them from their competitors. Even though the lines can get very long, the employees have a pretty good system to move people through in a timely fashion. The only "issue" I've run across is that they've been missing ingredients for multiple train wreck flavors during our last couple visits. Fortunately there are so many great ones to try that I'm happy even if I end up with my 3rd choice. They do get quite busy, so I've shown my wife that the only time of day when there's no line is around 5:00-5:30pm when everyone else is eating dinner. That my friends is how you get ice cream for dinner!

Great soft serve ice cream, exactly what we were looking for! We were a little confused how to order the first time we went because the two sides of the menu are on different sides so I attached both photos below. You can either get a cup of ice cream with toppings or the train wreck blends the ice cream with the toppings.

The place in Wake Forest for soft-serve ice cream available in numerous mouth-watering flavors. Park and walk up or drive thru to pick up creamy soft-serve ice cream. Flavors we enjoyed so far: Cake Batter Amaretto Pomegranate Pros: - Friendly employees who are all wearing masks - Numerous flavors and options to pick from - Drive thru option - Deals for senior citizens, large groups, and first responders - If you want multiple flavors in the same cup/cone they will swirl them together - Non-dairy options available Cons: - They don't seem to have pint containers for their business so they use soft drink cups. - They were out of waffle cones

One of a number of ice cream places in Wake Forest, Dairy Depot is a winner. It's soft serve, and they can custom mix more than 20 flavors. It's a busy place, there always seems to be 5 cars in the drive thru and 5 people in line. Service is friendly and quick. In a big plus over many ice cream places (ya' hear me, DQ?), the shop is neat and clean, and the staff are, too. Ice cream is smooth and creamy, no ice crystals here. My chocolate malted is the perfect thickness for slurping, not too chocolaty with just the right amount of malt. Dairy Depot is already in the regular rotation and I'll definitely be back.... Probably before the end of the week. Recommended!

What a great lil' spot. Was spending some time in the area with friends and we were all feeling like having some desert. Well, passing this spot earlier in the day I totally didn't expect it to be so full, but I should have looked at the Yelp page! But being full wasn't really a problem because with so much to pick from, it takes a minute to figure out what you want. I was being conservative and got the non-diary pineapple, which was just okay (too sweet!) and should've just messed with the diary. The sweetie got a 'Train Wreck,' a blend between an ice cream base and a topping, which was mad good. I had at least 1/3 of hers, cause I just couldn't resist. Our friends each got a mint chocolate shake and a pistachio Train Wreck (mixed with something). They were vets, so they knew what they were doing. The customer service was good too, with patient staff members (I would not have been that good!) so next time we're in Wake Forest, we'll definitely return.

My very first time here! I've been wanting to try it for awhile now! I've heard many good things about the dole whip-- not my favorite, I'll pass next time! I got a chocolate cake batter cone and it was so yummy! My sister really enjoyed hers and my son just had plain vanilla. Yes, they do put those little eyes on every single one. I thought maybe it was just for kids, but they're on them all. I love that they have a drive thru! Super easy and convenient! They only have outdoor seating'

I can't believe I've lived 4 years in wake forest and this is my first time coming here ! I always heard that people go there as a family outing with the kids so we decided to do that as well. It was my daughter's birthday, so after having sushi we stopped here for dessert. This place has a ton of flavors and they are able swirl just about anything you want. There are also lots of topings. My 2 kids, my wife and I we all ate for about 10 bucks that was awesome. I am not going to recommend any of the flavors we got be sure I assume that they quality is consistent based of what we tried. Great flavor and great price. They also have drive thru service if you are feeling lazy zzzzzz. Right before I left I realized that there was a second menu with drinks, floats, and other good stuff. Sorry I missed taking a picture of that one :(. Highly recommended!

My kids love this place and it does not break the bank to go there. The banana split is good, the brownie sundae is great.

How are their prices in comparison to Goodberrys? Do they have the same kind of product? We love Goodberrys but sometimes their prices can be a bit much. Thanks

The girl Grace took my order, then proceeded to be scooping the wrong ice-cream for my husband's milkshake (who is home recovering from surgery and wanted a milkshake). Then Grace disappears for about 5 minutes or so. Now mind you I had also had already waited in line for about 25 minutes. I am disabled and still went out to get my husband a milkshake. We'll after waiting for Grace to come back. She tells me that they are out of milkshake lids and no more milkshakes. They didn't announce it to everyone, just me. They could have used a soda lid. So now she messed up on the flavor of the milkshake and now no milkshakes supposedly. Then she had the nerve to tell the owner that I yelled at her and slammed their door when I left. It was freaking hot outside and in the heat, doors expand and makes it harder to close. So give me a break! They never have managers there either. My family and I have been coming there for at least 4 years. And now after I get this holier than thou message from supposedly the owner. They have definitely lost my business. I don't need lies told to me or religion down my throat. Here is the message from the Owner to me: "Hello Jennifer, I've taken some time to ponder over your message before responding. Our little business means the world to me and we never aim to do anything that will make people unhappy and ultimately nothing that would make God unhappy with us. Last night I received a message from the girls at the shop that they had run out of milkshake lids and a customer had slammed the door and left. I quickly responded with several suggestions of what they might have done to prevent that because, as I mentioned, we aim to please! I was disappointed that they hadn't, in the moment, seen another solution. Then I got your message and my perception of the situation shifted. It is heartbreaking to hear that someone who professes to be regular supporters of our business would vow to never return over one negative experience. Of course we wanted you to be able to enjoy a sweet treat especially in times of sickness and recovery, that's what we are here for! I've spoken with Grace and in her words she was "shaken up" and "wished she had thought of a solution sooner." To which I responded, "It's hard to problem solve when you're being yelled at." And that's what it comes down to, doesn't it? I don't know of many people how are able to see a clear soluntion to a problem when they are being yelled at, especially children. The message that you are presenting to the world on your FB page is Do unto others as you would want them to do unto you. And Never Judge anyone till you know all the facts. It is my opinion that in a moment of weakness you forgot to live by those words. I'm sorry for your trials. I have them too! You are not perfect and neither am I. Should I have been better stocked with milkshake lids, absolutely! Should you have treated others with more kindess, 100%! Things could have gone differently last night. I believe that you could have made it home with that milkshake for your husband if you had had just a bit of grace for Grace." Instead of solving the situation, the owner made it look like it was my fault they were out of lids and that it was my fault for everything. Excuse me? No as a worker at an establishment, you find solutions. Grace chose to work there. I didn't yell and I didn't slam the damn door. Unless the owner was there, NEVER MAKE ASSUMPTIONS AND THE OWNER HAD NO RIGHT THROWING RELIGION IN MY FACE!!
