Me and my boyfriend were heading home from seattle and decided to stop here. Huge mistake. We pull up to order our food and the girl starts to take our order. Halfway through my boyfriend ordering his food the girl starts LAUGHING with her coworkers directly into her mic. After not paying attention she then asked to repeat the order. He went to order my food and he had to repeat every item i wanted twice. We pull up pay and get our food. As we get back on the freeway i look into my bag and I only got one cheeseburger instead of 2 (we paid for a 2 cheeseburger meal). do not recommend. read more

I was requested to leave the store after patiently waiting and trying to ask for the manager to speak to me regarding their menu. I asked for the $7.00 meal deal chicken strip basket with a single chicken strip on the side, which would normally cost me an $1.79 I was told that I could not receive what I requested because they don't serve it that way, and if I wanted to have the extra strip, I would have to order it as a three-piece $6.39 and not as a single extra strip on the side regularly $1.79 The 2-piece strip with an additional item is available as advertised as a side with the 2 for $5.00 option - but not avail at this location. read more

The service was quick, the food was greasy and buttery as expected, the manager brought our food to us and was very friendly. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They answered all of our questions and gave us additional options for our Sundae not listed on menu. The food came as quick as I could expect it to and our order was all correct. The food is as hot and obviously just prepared. The fries were not as crispy as I prefer but still good. This is a tragedy, I mean in how Yelp doesn't have a way of giving a sub 1 star review. This place is horrible. I've never been to a restaurant of any kind, anywhere, ever that was as filthy as this restaurant. I was tempted to just walk around the restaurant taking photos of everything, because EVERYTHING was foul, but instead I settled with the few I'm posting here. It's important to understand, when I say filthy, I mean deep down, never been touched by cleaning fluid or a mop or rag or scrub brush, ever. In the history of the universe, ever. Since the Big Bang, ever. Ever. Every table is a sticky putrescence, every chair has glops of stuff dried on it's surface. The tile floor is so soiled that shoes stick to it as you walk. If it's been moped in the last 6 months, or ever, I'd be surprised. There is goop. Thick, black, goop, on the floor under the banquettes. And the bathroom. My god. MY GAWD! Holy hell on a stick! Number 2 smeared on the toilet seat and the floor as filthy as a floor can get. The sink looks like it's never seen a scrubbing bubble, hell, it doesn't even know what a scrubbing bubble is. I've included a photo of the bathroom trash container, the filthy, repulsively disgusting trash container as an example of the feculent grime that covers every surface in the bathroom as well as the entire restaurant. So, if this is what the owner allows every customer to see, what do you think the kitchen is like? What creatures live in this foul mess? What things creep around at night leaving droppings as they forage? It's not hard to imagine. read more

On your way back from Moses Lake we stopped here. The service was slow, my burger was wrong, my fries were cold, I had to ask for my sundae and my drink was completely forgotten!!! Maybe there needs to be a grown up in charge. I didn't see anyone older than maybe 17 working there. I originally gave them 2 stars, but after I reread my review I downgraded them to 1 star. I'm pretty sure they use fake Oreo's in the blizzards here. I mean, I don't think there's anything wrong with fake Oreos, it's just....call it something else? Maybe "cookies and cream" ? I feel like I would not be disappointed if you gave me a Cookies and cream blizzard and it was what I got from this Dairy Queen the other day. I would have thought "yeah this is pretty good" and been enjoying it the whole time. Instead all I could do was say over and over again, "this tastes weird" or "why do these OREO bits tastes different?????" I don't think it's fair to call a blizzard "bad" because blizzards are largely agreed upon as being ~real~ good. HowEVER, what I had from this place was not what I thought and it was disappointing. The drive thru line was SLOW, and long. We were craving the newest fall-blizzard flavors and pulled in off the freeway after hours of driving. The menu on the drive-thru was outdated and we did not know. We ordered what we saw, were told they didn't have ingredients to make the items, I told them, "Really? It's listed on your menu..." so they agreed to make the blizzard flavors. Wanted to try the new fall-flavors, but noticed the menu had the summer flavors listed, and ordered & got the summer ones. At the window the friendly staff said, "Yea, the new flavors are out, they are..." and listed them, to our disappointment as we wanted the pumpkin flavors!! He was surprised the "old menu" was advertised...all around sad experience, but the summer flavor blizzards were still delicious, just disappointed with the experience...I should have read the reviews and hit up another DQ!! read more

On my way back from Yakima to Seattle on October 3rd I needed some food and a break before the trek over Snoqualmie Pass. It was an absolutely beautiful late afternoon and I have ties to CWU so I thought I'd take a little memorial drive around the campus and find a place for a late lunch. This DQ is like a blast from the past and the way I remember them. I don't think this DQ has changed much since the 70's... anyway I loved it! I was here after lunch time and just as the college kids were stopping in for a late afternoon treat. Hey, what can I say, it's a fast food place, but I did enjoy my burger and fries... and speaking of fries, I think I got twice as much as I normally do on the west side of the mountains. It was fun and I took a few minutes to reminisce about my friends who came through the music department at CWU. The food was okay+ and so was the service. It was obvious though, I was the old guy in the room and not from these parts. But it was fun none the less. read more

I had forgotten to retrieve my credit card at the store and only realized it as I drove into Seattle. Oliver promptly mailed my credit card back to me after I spoke with him by phone. I really appreciate his service because I didn't have to make a long drive back to retrieve my credit card. I have always had great service and food from this DQ in Ellensburg. read more

Came through the drive-thru today for dinner on my way to Spokane. Chose them because I prefer their thick cut fries over other fast food places. I usually order the mushroom Grillburger... because mushrooms. But saw the Pulled Pork BBQ sandwich on the menu so decided I'd give that a try. I was the only car in the drive-thru. I got my total and paid at the window. A little over $13. Figured it's whatever since I got a smoothie and some pretzel sticks too. I didn't start counting. But I was waiting a good 15-20 minutes after paying. Which was surprising given being the only drive thru customer at a time they seemed well staffed (5:30pm). I finally got my food and thought to double check it.. no fries. I wave the guy back out the window, he's convinced I didn't order them. I told him I asked for a combo. So they check back in the order history... sure enough, my $13+ included fries. Lucky they only took two more minutes to come out and were hot. So off I go. I'm driving down the freeway munching on fries while they're hot.. a little crispier than I like, but still good. Finish them off and grab my delicious juicy pulled pork sandwich, take it out of the box, it looks like two half pretzel buns smoothed together. I open it up in anticipation.... to see a glob of what looks like chewed up and spit out meat, about half the diameter of the bun and about a quarter inch thick, I'd say about half the amount of meat I would expect a burger to be (isn't pork cheaper than beef?), with a dab of BBQ sauce on one side of it. At this point, I'm unhappy and a little grossed out, but it's hot food. So I bite into it with hope. It's actually not the minuscule amount of meat, dry and lacking flavor due to lack of BBQ sauce, or the fatty chunks in it that was the worst part... it was the unbelievably chewy bun. Which only gets worse as it looses temperature. So stick to the Grillburger... and double check your order.. if you want to wait the 20+ minutes for your food. read more

This *could* be a review for the Dairy Queen in Cle Elum, but, being an old granny behind the wheel, I missed the exit. Luckily we saw another shining logo on one of the 'Food at next exit' signs for Ellensburg, and zipped on in. Nothing completes a road trip like a Blizzard, especially when they don't skimp on the brownie chunks and pecans. Tradition to stop here. Admittedly they are really slow, but I tend to be in there at times when few other people are anyway. They don't know how to properly prepare to-go meals; they end up spilling everywhere, but oh well. Their soda fountain has issues with not dispensing enough syrup and the employees don't care enough to even pretend to try to fix it. We stopped in for a quick lunch while enroute back to Seattle (May 5, 2017). The burgers were good and the ice cream delicious. The manager? (dark haired female with absolutely incredible blue eyes!) was fast, friendly and very efficient. We'd stop here again when in the area. Lack of common customer service practices. I visited here driving back from Yakima for a quick bite as we enjoy Dairy Queen's food. We showed up right before a bus full of students. Before the students came in there were about 4 patrons in what was at the time 1 line. The group of about 20 students came in...the girl running the register verbalizes something under her breathe, showing that she is upset and is immediately stressed out and asks for help. Another worker comes to the second register and he immediately starts helping the group of students (and 3 adults). I asked if they were really just going to skip everyone who had been waiting in line. The girl behind the counter tells me that there are 2 lines. Yes I could see that there were "now" 2 lines, but the common customer service practice would be to then help the next people in line that had been waiting. ( I do understand that this is two fold as the elder male adult that was with the group of students could have had what i thought was common courtesy to then offer the people already waiting to go before their large group) he did not do so either. As I approached the counter I told the girl that I wasn't upset with her, but when others are waiting already and a second line is formed the person should take the next people in line. I was then told that it is ok, there are two lines and that I will get my food before them anyways. She didn't get what I was saying I guess, so I dropped it. I honestly feel that as soon the large group walked in the staff panicked and seemed to not know what to do. This is unfortunate, but nothing a little customer service training can't help. read more

Missed the main Ellensburg exit so we went to the second one heading west on I 90 (I believe exit 108 ). What a big mistake! It would have been faster for us to turn around and walk back a mile each way to get a meal from a different place than it was to wait here. I don't understand how it could take so long to screw up every single meal that we ordered. We sat in the drive-through for 15 minutes only to be served the food incorrectly on all three chicken sandwiches. When we asked to fix just one of them it took an additional five minutes. Finally when I gave feedback to the gal who returned the sandwich she just looked at me and said "OK, thank you" with the most confused look on her face. Couldn't even apologize for the initial wait or even after I complained. What a waste of money and time! Overly priced for poor service and half decent food. Don't bother. read more

Probably the nastiest DQ i have seen. The building was run down, and filthy. The counter where they were making the ice cream treats was nasty will spilled food. The floor by the ice cream machine was black with old ice cream that had been walked through. The blizzards they made were very soupy and not thick. The ice cream has melted before I was a quarter of the way done eatting it. Plus they were out of the ingredients for the Blizzard of the month... bad marketing there. read more

"We do it because we have no competition" is what they told me when I saw what they were charging me. $20 for 4 double cheeseburgers! The same burgers are $2.39 ea. where I come from. Highway robbery! Literally! I should have paid attention to the price on the drive thru menu but I was familiar with the DQ where I come from and didn't think twice before putting in the order.
