I love DQ!!! My favorite thing to get is a chicken strip basket with bread and blizzards. Their service is really good, very friendly, but sometimes a little bit slow. I've only been through the drive-through. I've never really been inside to see how clean it is, but I'm sure it's clean. I love DQ so much and love going. Just went thru the drive thru and ordered a small Turtle Pecan Blizzard. For the money I spent I expected to be able to have chocolate and pecans in it. Instead I got mostly all vanilla ice cream. Talk about disappointing. read more

On Friday 10/25/2024 at 3:00PM to grab a quick bite to eat while we're out running errands. My husband picked his usual, which is the six piece chicken basket. I decided to pick a fish sandwich for the first time, a small Java chip caramel blizzard, and a regular size cheese curds. I ordered all these particular items individually. The DQ window employee ended up, combining all three of my items as a combo and thus saved me five dollars on the total bill. Without being asked to do it, this employee took the initiative and decided to help somebody they didn't know to save some money. In this time of inflation where it costs an arm and a leg to go out to eat no matter where you go, I was most impressed by this employee! So impressed that I had to write this review for Yelp. I now highly recommend this location of Dairy Queen in Richland Washington. read more

Here's an update, 10 months later I though I'd give them another chance. Thought maybe something had been done and quality control improved, I was wrong. Another blizzard missing a good amount. It's pointless to try again, obviously they can't give me my moneys worth and it's getting to be a joke at this point. Quality control is non existent at this Dq and I will never spend another dollar here. Instead of going through and replying to everyone's negative reviews, DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. After giving up on their poorly mixed blizzards (all the toppings at the top and then the bottom 2/3 just ice cream), I've started getting shakes instead but I'm not having any luck here either. Each time I get a shake it's just short of runny (even in January) and I have to go put it in the freezer when we get home. Funny extra, my wife got one of their mini blizzards and it was barely mixed. Even with our history of poorly mixed blizzards at this location, my wife was still surprised (probably because who would think that they couldn't get a mini blizzard even partially mixed?). read more

I loveeeee this place, Always friendly staff. They work so hard to keep up with the long lines and orders and they do a fantastic job. While everyone else only finds time to complain I would like to find time to thank each and every worker there. We are a loyal family of customers. Tonight my 15 year old drove there for the 1st time with her drivers permit and passed right by the pick up window. Once we got organized and backed up a bit the lovely girls at the window found understanding and even told her stories about their first driving experience. :) such wonderful youngsters working there. Thank you dairy queen staff on Queensgate for working to support us family's getting our kids treats and during this Covid crisis. Being able to go out and get treats gives us a sense of normalcy! Received pretzels with NO queso 4 pc chicken strips .... one was a NUGGET!! & the country gravy container only HALF full Paid extra for fry sauce and received NONE SERIOUSLY! 0/3 There is just no excuse. Normally this Dairy Queen is really good, but today I had a different experience. The girl helping me in the drive-through was so incredibly rude I was honestly shocked that she works in customer service. She wasn't wearing a name tag but the name on my receipt says Madelyn N so I'm assuming that's her. I went through the first time and ordered my food, the total was higher than it normally is so I could tell she did something wrong but I didn't want to fight it so I just let it go. I handed her a coupon (which is from a promotional coupon book that they just sold last week) and she seemed super pissed off that she had to enter the coupon in. After about five minutes of her saying nothing to me she finally got the coupon put in, handed my receipt, and shut the window saying nothing. Because she didn't say anything I assumed she was done and drove off, realizing that she forgot to give me two of the things I ordered. Obviously because the lobby isn't open at this point I had to go back through the drive-through again which was about 10 cars long, and when I got to the front telling her that she forgot a couple of things she looked at me like I was crazy. She gave me my blizzard and when I told her that my meal came with a bottle of water, she told me it doesn't, and I showed her on my receipt that I paid for a bottle of water. She stomped over to the cooler, grabbed a bottle of water and basically threw it at me, then shut the window again. All through this I talk to her, told her have a good day twice, and never did I hear one word come out of her mouth. I think dairy queen needs to either train her more before putting her at the drive-thru (she still never figured out my coupon), or teach her what being nice to a customer looks like. read more

Why is there an issue EVERY time we come here?! This place is TERRIBLE! We've been in the drive-they for 15 minutes and there is one vehicle at the speaker in front of us and he isn't placing his order. You have him in a holding pattern for a ridiculous amount of time, waiting to order. After I (finally) got to the speaker, no apology for the wait...nothing. We placed our order and he said, "we'll have that for you at the window". That's was it. He was also barely understandable because he didn't speak clearly. When we got to the window, I asked what the hold up was. He didn't understand so I explained about the truck in front of us being at the speaker for 15 solid minutes waiting to order. He said, "I don't know anything about that. I'm just here to take the money", but he did offer to find out for us. I passed. This DQ has some major issues. I haven't had one single GOOD experience at this location. 20 minutes in the drive-thru, just for ice cream. Wow. read more

I'm increasingly disappointed with this franchise. There is a consistent lack of attention to the quality of what is served. Chicken fingers that are mostly breading, some pieces less than 1/2 the size of a typical piece and less than 1/2 of the piece was chicken; food haphazardly wrapped, boxed etc., sauces oozing out the sides of wrappers or all over your hand; and a disappointing lack of fruit in a strawberry sundae. Tonight's serving was particularly disappointing- it consisted of a small slice plus a dime-sized bit on a medium sundae. The "strawberry juice" included was thin and barely stuck to the custard. This place needs improvement and better training. read more
