It is nice to see post Covid this location has vastly improved. First, it is always nice and clean inside, and the crew is much friendlier than in the past. Things have also gotten a lot quicker, and I have not had a mistake with an order in some time. The food is pretty good, although I feel like they have gotten really stingy with sundae toppings and Blizzard additions. I get prices are going up all over, but that should not also mean I get less food quantity for more money. Overall, much improved and I hope the trend continues, because DQ has been a source of comfort for almost 50 years for me. I would hate for that to end. This was genuinely the worst experience I've ever had at any fast food establishment. I ordered a mini Reese's Blizzard with EXTRA peanut butter sauce and EXTRA chocolate sauce and got handed what looked like a tiny cup of plain vanilla ice cream with maybe one piece of Reese's in the entire thing. There was no chocolate sauce, no peanut butter sauce, and absolutely nothing "extra" about it despite paying extra. What made it even worse was the customer service. The Cashier (Ainslee E.? Shorter brunette highschooler) I tried to politely mentioned that the toppings were missing, and when i asked if there were peanut butter cups in it, she said (you ordered the Reese's peanut butter cup so I would hope so?) the employee was rude instead of trying to fix it. The attitude was completely unnecessary and honestly shocking over a simple issue that could've been corrected in 30 seconds. I understand mistakes happen, but this was beyond bad. Okay, it is Dairy Queen, home of the fake "ice cream" made from a low-quality powder. That is to be expected. My granddaughter wanted to go there and I just can't say no to her. If I could give ZERO stars I would! Brian the owner calls me after I hit a COVERED pole/block in HIS drive through that within 10 minutes caused a flat tire. The staff does their best to get you your orders. However, the manager is blinded and does not see any effort her employees are doing. Me and several other customers were in the lobby waiting and in front of everyone, she was belittling to the employees literally yelling at them. A couple of them looked like they were going to cry. I always have such bad experiences when I go to this DQ...if you try to come in within an hour before closing you're GUARANTEED to get a rude and annoyed tone from the teenage workers. I get that you're working on closing chores, but even an hour before closing...they really don't care about the reputation of their store because they've always got an attitude. This Dairy Queen location is a bad egg when compared to the franchise as a whole. I've gone there for the last time. This time I went to get a quick blizzard and asked to do half oreo and half reeses. She told me she would have to upcharge me for that. The Dairy Queen on Pines never upcharges for half and half on basic ingredients. I told her no, I only want half of each ingredient. She told me she would have my price at the window. At the window, the dumpy guy said it would be 5.09 for my medium blizzard. I said that's not right I got half and half of ingredients. He says the owner now makes them charge for an extra ingredient even if its half and half. I told him the Pines location doesn't do that. He said it is a different owner and theirs does. For the record, the DQ on Pines and the one on Trent both do not charge this extra cost because they are no giving out any extra ingredient (hence half/half). I will not return to this DQ as long as it has an owner willing to gouge the customer. I almost forgot to mention they like to make blizzards when there is a long line of cars and leave yours sitting on the counter till you get to the window. That makes it pretty damn soupy when you get there. I wish DQ corporate would make owners all do the same thing so we as consumers would know what to expect at their locations! read more

I like Dairy Queen but why is it that I always have to have bad service whenever I come to this place. I've probably been here more than 5 times and I was only happy once. I always order my stuff to go as I live just a few minutes away. There was one time that I ordered over the counter for take out and it took them literally 20 minutes to come out with my blizzard. I had to remind them to make it. Nobody even cared to ask me what I was doing standing idly infront of the counter. Apparently, the person who took my order forgot to make it just before she went for a break! Most other times, my blizzards were soupy. I have never seen them invert any of my blizzards! Horrible service. I waited in line when no one was in front. Cashier speaking to friends for going on over 3 minutes now. Horrible service, bunch of young kids, have had similar instances in past. Almost worth just going and buying my own ice cream. Took 9 minutes total just to be able to order a blizard. Manager looked right at me and didn't acknowledge me. One of the employees who was off shift even asked her if she could clock back in to help me since I had been waiting so long. Isaiah finally helped me out, he was courteous and polite, and apologized for the wait. He had been moving in the background as fast as he could to help other people. I reminded him that HE did a great job, and he was busy. As for the manager who looked at me and didn't assist or even acknowledge me. Definitely would recommend some customer service training, and a sense of urgency walking around at the pace of a snail isn't recommended when you only have 2 people in line waiting to have their order takin. read more

If you can avoid this Dairy Queen please do so, the food is great (thats why its two stars and not one), but the service is worse than anything I've ever seen. I kept getting dirty looks from the cashier, and I order a burger, fries, and a blizzard and it took them about 25 minutes to make. Normally slow service is annoying to me, but not too big of a deal. However this service was so slow and bad that I never want to come back, people need to train their workers not only how to cook, but how to please customers. read more

Awful service. Slow service. I had to repeat my soda order 3 different times, and it was still wrong. I ordered my burger a certain way due to allergies, and it was wrong. When I went back to return it and get a new one, I got told I ordered it incorrectly and that I just need to pick them off! So, I ended up throwing my burger out. Usually pretty consistent with what you'd expect from DQ. We've only had a problem once time (out of about 20) with an order recently. Don't know if it was new people or just the 'lazy' shift, but two Blizzards weren't done correctly. We resorted to dairy queen after our intended plans of frozen yogurt went sour due to machine issues. Dairy Queen is pretty consistent as far as quality of product. We have come as a family every so often and never really had any product issue. However almost every time we come we have a customer service issue. Either they are incredibly slow, incredibly rude or what happened last night. After ordering we were waiting a few cars from the window and saw a young man take his work hat off, shake his shaggy hair around and put it back on. This was next to the area where there were toppings for ice cream with open lids. GROSS! Here's the deal. I know that people have bad days and sometimes that may come to work with you but I've never had a worse experience at Dairy Queen or really anywhere. We were cut off multiple times over the speaker in the drive thru and when we pulled up to the window the employee was unnecessarily rude to us all while another employee yelled at her in front of us, we waited ten minutes or more for our food and when they finally brought it to us it was extremely ill prepared. My son and I went to eat at this Dairy Queen today and I ordered a crispy chicken sandwich. We were headed back to Cheney so I waited till I got on the freeway to open the sandwich to eat it. Took a couple of bits and noticed that the chicken was RAW! I called the manger at this location and informed him of the problem and he was very rude.
