First, let me chew on the positives. The facilities? Excellent pasture. Plenty of space to sit, relax, and ruminate. The seating is comfortable, the environment is calm, and it's a solid place to gather the herd for meetings. I've had many productive conversations here, tail tucked neatly beside the table, and I genuinely enjoy spending time in the space. From a cow's point of view, it's a very pleasant place to loiter. Now, the service... well, that's where the cud starts to sour. Service is slow. And not "slow like a lazy afternoon in the field" slow--more like standing at the trough wondering if anyone noticed you're there. The humans behind the counter don't always seem particularly friendly, and as a cow who believes in good barn manners, that's disappointing. A little warmth goes a long way, even if you're serving mammals who don't chew grass. As for the prices--moo-ve over. They are far too high for what ends up in the feed bin. The quality of the food and drinks doesn't justify the cost, especially for a cow who understands the true value of simple, honest nourishment. Paying premium prices and leaving less than satisfied is not a good feeling, even with four stomachs. So here's the final moo: Panera Bread is a great place to be. It's comfortable, clean, and ideal for meetings and hanging out. But it's not a great place to be served. The service is slow, the friendliness is inconsistent, and the prices don't match the quality. Things have vastly improved here! First and foremost, the employees seem to be much happier here than previously, so that is good to see. Definitely get food faster than previously. Things are also very clean whenever I come in. Still good Panera offerings, prepared well. My only real gripe is price. Yeah, I get things are more expensive, but it just seems excessive. Oof. Mixed review here. The vibe of the main area is great. Food is always exactly what you expect from a Panera. But... the bathroom situation is *rough*. The Men's room has no lock on the stall. Just a nice big gaping hole with direct line of sight to the door leading into the bathroom. We stopped here for lunch and a break from a long road trip. The ordering kiosks are super convenient and easy to use. Staff were friendly. They greeted us and offered to help as we were waiting for our order. The ambience in the restaurant is nice. We picked a booth and the table had crumbs all over it. We had to use our napkins to clean it up before sitting down to eat. The place wasn't very busy as we arrived between meal times so it seemed like there was time to keep things tidy in the dining area. The floor also had lots of debris on it. The food was quick and tasted great. We got a BBQ chicken sandwich and it had a generous amount of BBQ sauce on it, which I loved! They were accurate with our order, too. We've visited this location a few times and always like the food here. The location is also convenient to I-90 and the Costco gas station is only a few minutes away so overall we like coming here. read more

Maggie, along with two other employees, appeared unconcerned by the growing frustration among customers. Instead of working to resolve issues or provide clarity, they were loud and dismissive, contributing to an atmosphere that felt more like a circus than a café. Maggie stood out in particular for her rudeness. Her tone with customers was curt, almost hostile, and she made no effort to mask her impatience. The behavior between her and her coworkers was equally troubling--loud, inappropriate, and entirely unprofessional. Their personal conversations, filled with jokes and comments that had no place in a workplace, were audible to everyone in the dining area. It was embarrassing and uncomfortable to witness. This experience left me questioning the standards of this location. The actions of Maggie and her coworkers not only disrupted the peaceful environment I've come to expect from Panera Bread but also reflected poorly on the brand as a whole. I strongly urge management to address this behavior immediately. Proper training in customer service, workplace professionalism, and team communication is essential to prevent such incidents from recurring. I truly hope to see significant improvements on my next visit--this experience was far beneath what Panera Bread stands. I enjoy Panera. Their soups and sandwiches are good- just small. Their food is a little pricier than many fast food lunch spots, but they do offer a value menu with cheaper options and they are good options. . I have the sip club and I love it. However, if there are 2 cars in the drive thru, expect it to take 20 minutes just for your drink. You're better off going inside which is not always convenient. They have put away the cups so after you order your drink, you have to go to the food window and wait for them to get to your order to put your cup out which can take a long time. The whole process takes way too long just to get a drink. They need to streamline this. read more

For me, Sunday is pizza night. I was on a long trip from Canada and arrived at my destination in Spokane Valley, WA. I wanted pizza but didn't want the wait or a greasy Pizza Hut clone. So, I thought I would try the flatbreads at Panera. The drive-thru at this location was efficient, friendly, and helpful. The flatbreads can be ordered as a whole pizza or 1/2 as a "pick two" combo. I chose the entire pizza as I had a salad in my cooler that I would eat along with it. My order was the chipotle chicken (without the bacon). The flatbread comes in an excellent sturdy box that keeps the food warm. Once back at my hotel, I could check in, settle into the room, and get ready to relax after hours on the road. The food was still warm! The crust is crispy but does not have much taste. However, the sauce has a subtle flavor that enhances the cheese, chicken, and tomatoes. I devoured it with relish. As my family can attest, Panera is not my "go-to" place when I travel. But I have to say that their flatbreads are a great alternative when you have a craving for pizza. They were terrible. Don't be fooled by the pretty fireplace coming in. We each ordered a soup, a sandwich and a drink. Plus, we shared a macaroni and cheese. It was $53.00. That's correct. Fifty three dollars! The sandwiches were eh. The bread was nice. Definitely liked the bread. But neither of us liked our sandwich much. The soups were tepid at best and really lacking flavor. The staff was too busy talking loudly to each other to bother to get the order right. I took the extra 15 minutes to return to see if I can get it fixed and they were closed but the door was open. So I went in and the nasty teenage girl standing at the register, doing nothing, said we are closed and she can't help, and apparently there were no managers there and then she said to come back tomorrow. I was running errands this morning and was heading over to my sisters to babysit her little one and decided to stop here for some take out. I got food for both my sister and I. I decided to try out the kiosk. I got the value duet for my sister, consisting of tomato soup and a half grilled cheese. I decided to try the avocado chipotle chicken sandwich and the Autumn squash soup from their pick two. I put in my order and paid and was instructed to wait for it to be called. The food took a little bit, which is completely understandable because it's made fresh to order and isn't sitting around waiting to be pulled from under a heat lamp. My sister really enjoyed her soup and sandwich when I got to her house. She said the soup tasted rich and creamy and was perfect with the grilled cheese. My soup was really good light and flavorful. A touch of curry made it really good. I especially liked the pumpkin seeds on top because of the added texture to an otherwise velvety soup. The sandwich was tasty. The cracked pepper focaccia added crunch and complimented all the ingredients of the sandwich nicely. The chicken was moist and the veggies fresh. A really nice touch was when I looked in the bag after getting to the house and there were two chocolate chip cookies added as a surprise and as a thanks for ordering. This is a great alternative to fast greasy food. It might take a touch longer but definitely worth it. There are so many options one the menu from soup, salad and sandwiches that you can get pretty much whatever you want and not have to worry about it being too unhealthy. Coming from Florida, there is a Panera in every corner, so seeing only ONE in Spokane was a culture shock for me. Luckily, this Panera was probably the best one that I have been to. Most Paneras that I have dined at were for studying purposes, so I spent lengthy amounts of time dining, resulting in a pungent bread smell on my clothes when I left. This was not the case for this Panera. I left without any residual scent on my clothing at all, which was amazing. The food is good and the atmosphere is like any Panera. All of the workers were very nice and there was always someone ready to take my dish to the trash when I was done, which was rare in Florida. I keep comparing this location to Florida, because I see a lot of negative reviews of this location, so I wanted to give a perspective as to what this establishment is supposed to be like. Trust me, this location is 100 times better than most of the locations in Florida based on cleanliness, friendliness, and overall experience.
