The ice cream was the best i had ever had, the flavors were creamy, delicious, and overall not too sweet. The workers are very kind and even gave my son extra whip cream on his ice cream. The overall vibes were really retro-vibes and very bright. Overall, I would come back every time i have a sweet treat!

Finally open again. A family favorite where we meet other family members and spend many summer nights. Staff is always friendly and attentiveand quickly get through long lines. Hope it stays here forever.

I don't know why I like this DQ so much. Probably the novelty of it; retro decor, walk-up only, etc. Folks are friendly and it's quick, even if the line looks long. Parking might be what stumps you the most (both finding it and entering correctly; seems like every time I've been someone enters from the wrong side). Prices aren't out of line with other DQ's, I don't think.

If you're gonna buy icecream, BUY LOCAL!!! When I'm in Seattle, I buy Starbucks. When I'm in Lombard, I buy DQ!!!

Dairy Queen at Maple and Main. A Lombard tradition since 1953.

This little walk-up Dairy Queen at the corner of Maple and Main is a trip back in time. The building dates from 1953 and it appears little has changed, including the awesome neon signage which has been recognized by the Lombard Historical Commission. The sign is believed to be one of the last original blue and white Dairy Queen signs featuring the signature ice cream cone. The letters light up in dazzling pink neon. There's nothing surprising about what's served here. It's a Dairy Queen! But sweet treats only. I'm partial to the Peanut Buster Parfait or an old-fashioned hot fudge sundae. Either one is a perfect treat on a warm spring day after a stroll through nearby Lilacia Park. This DQ closes during the coldest months: mid-Oct to mid-February.

We stopped by DQ in Lombard on a Sunday night. Also, it's their 1st opening day of 2019. My son was so excited because they close from end of October to Early February (that's a long time!). Me and my husband get fantastic service and ice cream (they usually get strawberry misty cooler).

You can't go wrong with Dairy Queen! It's also fun to know that this location is the original. They have a plaque on the wall commemorating the original sign and that it's a Lombard historical site. Very cool!

Lilac Dip ice cream! Truly a Lombard original!

Visited this location again today! Even though the lines look out of control, the employees move very quickly and can get through the lines efficiently! Because this location is right at the heart of downtown Lombard -- they are also getting in the festive Lilac spirit this spring! If you need to know one thing about Lombard, it's that they are obsessed with their lilacs. It's Lilac season and Lombard is celebrating with parades and various events all over the town this month! I was super surprised that the local Dairy Queen was also celebrating. I couldn't help but feel special when we ordered our "lilac" dipped ice cream cone. Where else will you see a bright purple Dairy Queen ice cream cone? So cool and super cute! Really goes to show you how much they love being in this town and how much this town appreciates their business!

We tried several things from this cafe, and everything was phenomenal, but there was one thing that was beyond all the stars, but here's a breakdown of it all: Potato Savory - so basically if you're looking for chaat, this is it. They call it savory, we call it chaat, but in either case, you can tell this isn't something pre-made and slapped into a bowl. The veggies were crunchy, not soggy. The chutney was sharp, but not overwhelming. And all the condiments and veggies and chickpeas together made a cohesive dish, well balanced. Definitely recommend. 8.5/10 Chicken Club Sandwich - this sandwich is....a LOT. In a good way! The pulled chicken is seasoned well. It's massive and there is a lot of flavor in each bite. This gives Chai Ho Jai (Naperville) a definite run for its money. 9/10 Filli Chicken Seasoned Flatbread - we tried this one second, and my God, it's a definite 10 out of 10! 10/10. Dynatime Chicken Flatbread - okay, so we tried this flatbread first, and I thought it was a 10/10, but then I tried the other flatbread and realized this was a definite 11/10! Lacha Melt Chicken - this was great, very akin to a quesadilla with a paratha. Unique concept, yes, but not my favorite thing here. And yet, well seasoned and delicious. 8/10! Pistachio Latte (Iced) - this was a stand out. This latte was SO delicious, I got one - everyone took a sip, and then we ordered more! Sooooo goooooooood!!!! 10/10! Now let's get to the STAR OF THE SHOW: The FRIES - the fries that came with all the entrees were hot, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The perfect specimen for a fry. Add to that the lovely spice powder sprinkled on top of them - they are delicious, melt in your mouth, and in addition to being the perfect accompaniment to the food, they're absolutely great all on their own! 100/10! Definitely recommend this place - the ambience and the service are both absolutely great. As long as the taste of the food remains consistent and this place remains clean and hospitable, this is going to be one of the top notch places in the area. Don't overcrowd the menu, either, it's perfect as it is!

The tv also had some random first person view of walking in a third world country which was strange - come bro play some Shah Rukh Khan music at least! The customer service is fast and friendly. We ordered the following items: - Masala Paneer Flat Bread - Chicken Dynamite Flat Bread - Paapdi Chaat - Chicken Shawarma Bowl - Butter Chicken Bowl - Chicken Dynamite Sandwich - Masala Fries - Zafrani Chai Honestly the taste wasn't there for me the fusion of Chaat with pizza and burger is not it. Overall mid experience :/

Service: Service was mediocre at best. No greeting, no friendliness, and when we realized the two sides of sauce we paid for were missing, we went back and still received no apology or acknowledgment. Food: The food was cold and honestly unappetizing. The "salt fries" arrived cold, topped with cold cheese sauce. The burger was lukewarm, greasy, and sloppy -- we stopped eating it after a couple bites because it seemed like the kind of thing that would make you feel sick. The only somewhat decent item was the onion rings, likely because they were the only thing served hot. We ended up sharing those and throwing the rest away. Even then, my stomach didn't feel right for the rest of the evening.

I completely understand that delays can happen, but several customers who ordered after my family and I received their food before us. A large order for a family of eight was even called ahead of ours, despite being placing their order after us. When I asked again when I could expect our food, I was told it was being worked on. However, this is an open kitchen, and there were no burgers on the grill at the time. Since I needed to return to work, I requested a refund. I was asked to leave my receipt on the counter and told it would be handled later. I asked that the refund be processed immediately, and it was eventually completed. This was especially disappointing because it was my second visit. I experienced a small issue during my first visit, and unfortunately, this experience was worse. As someone in the food industry, I was surprised there was no apology for the inconvenience. I hope ownership takes this as an opportunity to improve communication and customer service training for staff. If I don't hear back from management, I will presume they don't care about their clientele.

The sausage had a great snap when I bit into it and the classic polish sausage flavor was so good and perfectly spiced/seasoned. The bun was soft but didn't fall apart when I ate. The man who took our order was extremely nice and gave me a sample of the sloppy Joe to try as well. I felt like I was part of the neighborhood.
