The best diner I've ever been to... and I would estimate that I've been to around 50. All over the country. Everything was just how I'd like it. I'm a big breakfast food fan, and I'm bummed out by the things people put in front of me at diners. The omelets didn't need any salt/pepper/ketchup. The iced tea actually tasted like tea, the OJ was super fresh and sweet, and the French fries were crispy and delicious. Coffee was a tad weak, BUT I like mine really strong-tasting so I didn't care about that. My girlfriend endorses all of the above as well. So think of this as two reviews in one. ;) read more

Definitely nothing special. I have friends in the area so I frequently travel to northern NJ. I visited this place when it first opened, and found the food sub-standard. Recently, I was in town again and drove by and was shocked to see that it was still in business, but I was hungry, so I tried it again. The food is still mediocre at best, and the service is hit or miss - definitely not going out of their way to be friendly. The decor is cute, but that can't make up for all that it's lacking. There are SO many better options, in Edgewater alone - Original Pancake House, Brownstone, etc. And there are also other diners that will deliver to Edgewater - one favorite that comes to mind is the Boulevard Diner in North Bergen. My friend and I couldn't get a seat at the Original Pancake House in City Place and needed a place that a) had parking b) didn't have a ridiculous line c) had quality food and service. Daisy's DELIVERED. The hand-squeezed OJ was a delicious treat, tasted like fresh mandarins--wow. I had bacon egg and cheese on a bagel and the crunchiest diner fries imaginable. Been living in the area forever and today was the first time I ate here. Dining area was nice and clean, staff was friendly, and service was quick and efficient. Ordered a burger and it was definitely tasty. Food was fresh and fries were crispy and delicious! I'm knocking off a star because I asked for medium rare but my burger was medium, closer to well done. The burger was also pretty greasy. It's not the best burger I've ever had (Burger & Lobster!!!!!), but it was pretty yummy overall. Here for Sunday Brunch... The place looks nice but the ambiance is a bit strange. It's like a 16th century castle and a 60's diner made babies. The service is great but that's because you are usually asking for spoons that should come with your coffee... etc... the menu is missing things like eggs Benedict, Florentine, available brown sugar or tabasco at the table, serving water at the table. So I ordered three eggs over easy, over hash and a side of sausage. The sausages are links clearly frozen and deep fried. I highly recommend they get some real thick links and start pan frying to order. Eggs were done great. Wife had pancakes and were great. My son had a Caesar wrap that he loved. Normally, I would destroy this place but the service and potential to be truly great are here. If the owners are listening... please take this review under strong strong consideration and do the minor menu adjustments and I am pretty sure you will have lines like the Old Fashioned Pancake House... read more

We visited Daisy's yesterday, the first day they were officially open, and we have found our go to spot in Edgewater. Previously the owners ran a previous spot where I use to live. Since moving to Edgewater it has been lacking in the food department. Don't get me wrong there are some decent places but this place has tons of variety for everyone in your family. If you want a burger or chicken parm they have it. Customer service is always great and they always get our order right. If you are a local or just visiting Edgewater this is the place to go. It's a hidden gem that is definitely worth finding. They even have parking! I have not tried everything but we definitely enjoy the Chicken Parm and Chicken Gyro platter. We have had their burgers, as well as, wraps and they are always on point. I wish them the best of luck in this new location! read more

Loved loved loved everything that we ordered was delicious. Husband got the grilled chicken wrap, my son had a burger with CAJUN fries yum, and I had the chicken parm meal. Someone before me called it a "hidden gem" and it can't be described any more perfectly. Doesn't look like much from the outside, but they have a huge selection of foods and most of the things I've tried have been great with a few misses. My favorite items there are: chicken tenders, fish and chips, and turkey club sandwich. Their fries are AMAZING! The people working there are always extremely nice and they deliver. I ordered cheese fries from here a few weeks ago (I'm pregnant, don't judge). They gave me, and I kid you not, a carton of fries with two slices of Kraft Singles placed on top. The cheese was melted, but you could still see the outline of the perfect cheese squares on the fries. So, only a few fries had any cheese on them at all. Not only are Kraft singles totally disgusting anyway, but they are in no way the kind of cheese you put on fries. Seriously, how hard is it to shred some cheddar? read more

Just went there today and it was excellent. Service was good, and the food was fresh and seasoned well. They have a great menu...burgers, salads, wraps and breakfast. The carrot juice is exceptional. I had the Blue Wrap...grilled chicken, mozzarella, avocado, Caesar dressing and romaine. My boyfriend had the chicken kebab on pita and it was excellent. Save yourself the trip to this snoozefeast with untrained waitresses and poor management. I had only ordered delivery from here previously and decided to visit this establishment with my family. Upon arriving at the restaurant, nobody really greeted my family and I, and staff just told us to pick a seat. There is no kids menu or if there was one the waitress had no idea. Ambience is boring with no music, a static tv with no volume or cable and horrible service. When it came time to order, the waitress did not know what was on the menu and seemed clueless about the salad that I wanted to order. Salad came with no dressing and upon asking for the dressing the waitress forgot. After I waited 10 mins to then ask for my specific dressing again,waitress came out with a dressing that was not what I ordered and the waitress could not tell me the type of dressing it was. When I asked her what this dressing was all the waitress could say is "I went to the kitchen and asked for dressing and this is what they gave me". How hard is it to know the type of salad dressing you are serving customers. Food came out in all different orders 1st my husband food with the appetizer and then my sons food 6 mins later and then my food when our food was ordered at the same time. When we asked to speak with a manager he refused to come speak to us. I will never order from here again given the poor treatment we received. Overall food good but too pricey given the very poor service and boring ambience. read more

The service was good and everyone was really nice. The food is legit. Everything seems fresh and made in house. This place is a bit hard to find but once you do, you're in for a treat. I've visited twice here, once takeout and also dine in. The gyro platter was delicious and the skirt steak was perfectly done, medium-rare, wonderful seasoning, AND the half portion was so big that I brought home half the steak. Very reasonably priced too! Next time, I want to get the full order of Greek salad (got a small taste on my gyro platter, it was that good!) and continue trying the rest of the menu items.
