Big & Rich quote.
Eric O.

After looking online for a close breakfast joint we decided on the 6 String due to the Rock n Roll theme. Upon entering we noticed all of the guitar's hanging on the walls and the large mural of a Big and Rich quote so we were looking forward to a fun atmosphere. While standing in line to be seated one of the servers seemed to be bothered and didn't greet us or say hello she just said 2, we said yes then she just went over and put 2 menus on the table and walked away. Once we got a server she wasn't too thrilled to see us either, we considered walking out but decided to stay. We had the ham & cheese omelets which were very good and the prices were fair. All in all its a neat atmosphere with good food but the service was quite poor, hence the 3 stars.

Had a really nice meal here. The pork chop was amazing and the huckleberry Moscow mule was great too!! Recommend if you are in deadwood.

Love the ambiance. Great choices in entrees and apps! The kids loved their kids meals as well. Wonderful service from Blake!

Room Service menu that needs fixed

Food is okay, need to update their website menu you can only order soggy chicken strips or a gainy burger. No lunch options. The Lodge at Deadwood is better.!

I had the Dakota Game Burger asked for steak sauce on the side . Otherwise to messy as a handheld. Great craft beer selection!

Creme brulee half coffee half traditional

I explained I had never been there before and needed a few minutes to review the menu. We tried to give a drink order and she would run away before we could even tell her that we wanted an appetizer. when we would tell her, we would want one appetizer she tried to walk off before we could tell her our second appetizer choice. She was very friendly, but definitely was very rushed even though there were no other customers in the restaurant. If I would've known any better, I would've assumed she was busy trying to get to other customers. You get two free breads slices, but we ordered the appetizer it got for additional slices of the bread. I personally did not like it. It was very greasy. When I asked what it's made of it is imitation, crab, mayo, and cheese on top of bread. We also got fried okra as our second appetizer. I took pictures of the menu and the appetizers, but forgot to get a picture of our meal because I was so eager to try it. Our entrées were very delicious. I ordered snow, crab, shrimp, and scallops in a garlic butter sauce with no heat. The person with me order Dungeness crab, lobster tail, shrimp, and clams. We both enjoyed our entrées a lot. We will be going again sometime in the future.

My wife ordered the Chicken Primavera with gluten free penne, featuring grilled chicken, pesto, and carrots. It was excellent and easily the standout dish of the evening. I had the grilled salmon, which was cooked well and was also very good. As always, we put restaurants through a bit of a stress test. My wife has gluten and dairy allergies, while I manage Alpha Gal syndrome, a tree nut allergy, and diabetes. The kitchen was able to accommodate the gluten free pasta request, which we appreciated. The atmosphere is one of the restaurant's biggest strengths. The historic building and the old photographs covering the walls make for a fun dining experience and really add to the character of the place. Service was just okay. Nothing was wrong, but it also wasn't particularly memorable. One thing worth knowing before you go: the restaurant adds a 4% surcharge for credit card payments, so if you'd rather avoid the extra fee, bring cash. Overall, we will probably pick something else a try if we return to Deadwood. Worth it if you are heading there just for the historic atmosphere. It's a great stop if you're spending time in Deadwood.

We made reservations at the deadwood Social Club and when you walk in, it's as advertised. You walk into Saloon 10 and then take an elevator to the 2nd floor to get to the Social Club. While in SD I figured this was the perfect time to try and real bison steak and I did. You can tell it was not beef but it was delicious. The loaded baked potato was also delicious. Their signature cocktail menu included many different options. If you're ever in Deadwood, I highly suggest stopping by there. The service is also amazing.
