My family and I are active fans of BBQ's every weekend we go to a different location just to enjoy some family bonding time. The server in this particular BBQ's was very friendly but she didn't know her tables number, and my family and I ended up paying for someone else's order. When i called the manager to explain the problem, her exact words where "UM....OK?". Not once did she ask what was the waiters name or anything like that to at least speak to the server, she didn't try to at least pretend to solve my problem. Definitely show that she doesn't care about anything. My family & I will NEVER come back to this BBQ's again, just because of the awful way that the manager spoke to me & the fact that she showed absolutely NO initiation to help. read more

I give this location one star only because I had to choose at least one to write this review. I have eaten in other BBQ locations and the environment and service has been great. However, we went to this co-op city location after a movie and were not provided quality service just to be seated and had to walk out. It was a group of 5 of us. We entered through the back entrance and since no one was at the hosts station we proceeded to walk in. We were then seated in the back area immediately. The section that we were seated in was rowdy! I mean yelling and very loud laughing and pounding on the table. I don't expect a silent dinner there but at least we wanted to hear ourselves speak to one another. So we nicely asked to be moved to another section. The waitress asked us to go to the front hostess stand and we explained the situation. There were three ladies there and I believe a manager of some kind. He was tall and bald. Instead of saying "ok no problem we will take care of it". They were talking about us while we were standing right there! They were saying "it's louder over here" and rolling their eyes and starring at us. And the manager in gray was also saying "they say it's too loud over there". It was just awkward standing there and just bad service. So we decided to leave and no one even noticed. The staff needs more customer service training. When the customers leaves happy they return. We will never go to this location again. We ended up going to SABROSURA restaurant in castle hill and had excellent service as usual. read more

Was told one was not available! Hard to believe? Not really because I have sent three emails to Dallas BBQ and never received a call from management. We love going to Dallas BBQ however my family and I will never return to this one in COOP CITY! Even though our waiter was very friendly and provided great service the manager did not. My family and I drove from New Haven, CT to this location only to receive horrible customer service treatment. We waited approx 3 hours to get seated, which became upsetting because including myself we had individuals with disabilities and elders, so the only reason we even were even seated because we had to approach management (Larezo) with our concerns of why we were being brought to different sides of the building only to continue to stand long and watch people with bigger size parties seat before us. It was becoming very frustrating to communicate this to him when he was becoming loud and rude with us shouting why would we come on a Saturday night, and that we were "DESPERATE", which caused half of my family to walk out to go to Red Lobster across the street, and us who stayed were seated and did receive great treatment from the young waiter a gentlemen who was very assuring, caring, and kind. The food was delicious and so were the drinks, but I can never return to this one. We work to hard to give our money away to undeserving business!!! read more

Went here recently and the service was absolutely terrible. The hostess looked like she'd rather be getting a root canal than doing her job and not only did our waitress Vanessa mess up our order she then lied about and the manager said that she was afraid that we would yell at her if she told us that she told the cooks the wrong thing. She then avoided us until it was time for the check. SMH and they want $15 an hour you've got to be kidding. I'm all for giving a generous tip but only when you at least try to do your job and not like a little chicken if you mess up. We all make mistakes. Texan here. This is absolutely not proper bbq. First off. No brisket? Do Yankees know what brisket is? Second, yellow rice as a side with ribs? I beg you to find a single bbq joint in Texas that serves yellow rice, or even French fries with your meal. That's ridiculous. The starters? Shrimp cocktail? This is a joke. Don't waste your time or money here. The food is poor quality, doesn't live up to its name at all, it's a poor excuse for "barbecue". The wings and ribs had no flavor besides being drowned in cheap barbecue sauce. The service was terrible, the staff is rude. Every time I enter, the host always greets me with a smile. I usually wait only a few minutes before being seated. The employees are all friendly and high-spirited. Since I come here often, I usually get seen by Eric, Diamond or Shanice who are 3 of my favorite people! They are very attentive and have great energy! Food is always out prompt and still hot. It does have a parking lot that allows me to park wherever I want. They also have an outdoor section that allows me to listen to music while I enjoy my food! This is a great go to spot! As far as a Dallas BBQ goes, this restaurant gets 4 stars. Please keep in mind that I'm rating it against other Dallas BBQ restaurants and comparable restaurants. We stopped in on a Sunday afternoon around 2pm on our way from church in one of the Burroughs to our home in Westchester. I had been craving a virgin piña colada for the longest. The restaurant was relatively crowded, but there was still no wait. The waitress came to our table within the first 5 minutes. It's a BBQ, so the husband, kids and I already knew what we were having. She immediately returned with our drinks. I didn't time our food but I'm sure that it came out within 10 minutes or so of our orders being taken. Although the menu is designed to be food that could be served quickly, this is not always the case. So I definitely give credit for this. The cornbread was on the dry side, but other than that the food was what was expected. Level of service was great! read more

This place is horrible...went there today and they served raw sticky /henney boneless chicken. We were served with the honey amd henney sauce on the side. Now that i think of it....if the sauce was marinated with the chicken we probably would not have noticed it was raw. It was duscusting...the manager did not charge us however did not have the decency to at least speak to us and apologize for the poor service on behalf of chef/staff. Both myself and my husband ordered the 1/2 chicken his was so dry he could only eat the dark meat, mine on the other had was good. My friend and decided to have lunch at this location on 01/12/2013. The décor, very pleasing to the eye. I found the staff very hospitable. The food entirely different story! We ordered the baby back ribs, I ordered the baked potato and she ordered French fries. Both ordered corn bread. The French fries were cold; waitress brought another plate which was also COLD! Waitress then sent manager over. As the manager is extending apologies I bite into the corn bread and tasted something strange in my mouth! It was a gray hair approximately 1 1/2 inches long! Where do I even start?? This location use to be decent but it has definitely gone down something terrible. The food and the service was not good! First of all the waitress-short light skin young lady with honey-blonde hair. She was a weird mix of snotty and nice. The food was very disappointing! First of all my son had the beef ribs and I had the baby back ribs, both of our ribs were burnt and ice cold. Come on now who does that?? My daughter's baby back ribs were tough and barely any meat on the bones-the restaurant is being cheap on quality and quantity. The corn bread was dry and tasteless! The only good things were the pina coladas and the appetizers of broccoli tempura and crunchy wings. My husband and I informed the waitress that it was our son's birthday. We had to ask her 3 times to sing Happy Birthday. However her and the other waiters put no sort of effort into it and it was so fast. By the time I tried to take a picture they were done. Because we were a party of 7 they automatically billed us for 18% gratuity, that definitely was not earned. I was going to cause a fuss and have it removed but I just let it stay because it was our son's Birthday and I just decided to be the bigger person. I've been in BBQ more than once, usually good service when getting food on time. But when you check in to wait for the table the young lady who takes the information looked like she was bothered just off the fact we were there, she didn't make us feel welcomed at all. When my number was called I was attempting to approach the bench, (mind you I have my 2 toddler nieces, 10yr old son and my mother) because so many people, they called me 3 more times loudly even though they saw me walking their way, I had to scream and say "I'm trying to get through with my children!" If you see me approaching there's no need to scream and the young lady standing there saw me coming instead just looking at nothing she should of helped me get through with my kids. They waiter was nice, he served us in a timely matter, the food was good, drinks we're done right, I would of given 4-5 stars but that earlier incident made me give the review I'm giving it now. read more

We went to try it out and we were pleasantly surprised with how good the service and knowledge of the waitress was. We had 2 Texan Margaritas which were incredible and ended ordering two more. I'm a fan. What I also love about this place is how efficient they are. My parents tried to go to one of the chain restaurants in the new mall at Bay Plaza on a Saturday night. As I correctly warned them, each one had at least an hour wait time, so we headed over to Dallas BBQ. We were seated right away, got our food right away. My only complaint is the way they make the drinks can leave a lot to be desired. My Pina Colada supposedly had alcohol but didn't taste like it. I'll remember to ask for a shot next time! read more

I don't know what's going on at Dallas BBQ in coop city. Starting from the welcoming committee, they are All standing around talking and not greeting or taking care of the customers. The baby back ribs were so small and fatty that they looked the size of rib tips or better yet Yorkie's ribs. Hubby ordered the brisket and it was over cooked, the brisket was purple. Where have you seen brisket that is the color purple. It tasted terrible. We had to return it. The frozen drinks are good but how can you mess that up, since it comes out of a machine. Ok.my lady and i went to this place during mid afternoon,so i guess the place wasnt too packed ,like ive heard it gets from other reviews on here,so we were seated right away.she ordred the pork ribs and sides and drink ,her sides and drink were good,but she wasnt wowed by the ribs. i ordered a baked potato side and drink,which were good too but instead of pork ribs i got the beef ribs,and i never really had gotten beef ribs from another place before(just pork) ,so i figured i try it,,when we got our food ,hers were normal looking ribs,but the beef ribs i got were huge,,i mean like half a foot long to almost a foot and with hardly no meat and the three ribs were still stuck at the bottom,i guess from the grisle and it looked like it came straight out the cow and cooked,like it even was'nt butchured right. they didnt even at least cut them or seperate the ribs for me and they put them on a small plate, and with only a butter knife on the table!. i couldnt even eat it right and just picked at it what i could reach! and just ate the sides.plus the bbq sauce looked like it was just poured on!i took it to go,but when i took the ribs home and tried to eat it later,there was hardly no meat on them and i had to brake the ribs apart from each other!lol it was a huge dissapointment.never been to a dallas bbq before and havent checked out the other locations, but i hope its a better dining expierience then at this locale.to me bbq pit in riverdale is a way better ribs spot! not as nice and fancy like here but still better ribs! read more

Went to this location expecting good customer service .I received the opposite my waiter didn't even check up on my table then told me he was going to take a cigarette break before bringing me my check.Later when I paid for the bill with my credit card and left the tip with cash they took more tip money out of my credit card without my authorization.After I realized I told the manager and he said that the money would be returned to my card and that was on 06/30/13 still haven't received a refund . Tonight I went to have what was supposed to be a nice family dinner and ended up in the ER with my daughter. A server spilled a tray and the hot food fell on my 1 year old. All we asked for was a copy of the accident report in case she shows signs of being injured after we left and we were denied that. We had to call the police and the ambulance, meanwhile the manager had the nerve to make it seem as if it had just hit her face. If that was the case why was he waiting for me outside of the bathroom after I got out from changing my daughters clothes and said "I came to check because I was told she was crying"?!?!?! After me and my husband left he re-added the 50% he said he was taking off of our bill. We were treated as if this was all about a bill when we came with the money to pay it. This is about showing concern about something that took place in your restaurant not about a damn bill we came prepared to pay for! Thank God for the hostess who walked away with the bill and must've called someone from cooperate as he came back and told us it was taken care of to just leave. My party of 5 arrived, my order was the 3rd taken & the easiest with a orange soda. Our waitress was obviously upset to be alive with making it clear by the annoyed tone in her voice and look on her face. After my entire party received received their mixed drinks and food, ate and drank, I still had NOT received my orange soda let alone my food. After seeking out the Mgr. Erdo, I was brought my food. I asked him to look around my table and notice the 5 empty plates, & explained that my party was done and it was not fair ask them to wait for 1 person because as he explained the waitress FORGOT to put my order in! I told him I would no pay for the over hour late chicken and shrimp because his employee couldn't do her job. With a big sigh of attitude he snatches the plate away! Then to top it off!!!!....we were.still over charged for food NEVER ordered! I have emailed & called a Eric L. 2x whose name.& # I was given by the un managing manager and still have NOT heard back.
