We ordered a variety of items from the menu: falafel platter, lamb shawarma platter, kefta kebab platter and a chicken shawarma fatteh platter. The food overall was pretty good and has lots of great flavors. Falafel platter 4/5 Kefta platter 4/5 Lamb shawarma platter 4/5 Chicken fatteh 3/5 - yogurt needs some more garlic and the chicken some more seasoning- but overall well set dish. I have ordered take out from Damas twice, and the food here is AMAZING! Both times I found it to be extremely flavorful and authentic. I highly recommend the lamb schwarma or the gyro fatteh - it is absolutely perfect for a hardy comfort meal. It's all about the pita and the white sauce! The chicken schwarma is also very good as well. I usually dislike grape leaves from most restaurants, but at Damas' they do it right! The sampler appetizer is the way to go if you want a little bit of everything. The only thing I will say is that service was a bit slow both times, but I believe it's because they really take great care to put the dishes together perfectly. Everything was wonderful perfectly seasoned and so flavorful. When we went in we were greeted right away by the young lady at the register and the lobby was clean and inviting. The chicken shawarma was nicely seasoned, tender and came with a generous helping $9.99 plus $1.00 for the garlic sauce. The kabobs were also a generous portion for $9.99 plus $1.00 for the garlic sauce and the veggies were perfectly cooked where they still had texture but were so delicious. I really like the salsa and when it is mixed with the garlic sauce it's incredible. The pitas are freshly steamed to order and were delicious. This was a great stop and we cant wait to come back. This is one of my favorite Mediterranean spots that's closer to my area. I really enjoy their flavors and the amount of food that you get with them. This particular time I ordered online and went to pick up my food. I do not like their ordering system, it's slow, it gives me issues every time I try to order and I end up having to put in my order multiple times because of system issues. Outside of that when I go pick up my food they are very friendly inside and they always have things packaged nicely. I ordered chicken shawarma with a Greek salad and the I got the mini sampler with pita. I do wish the hummus and baba were a little more flavorful, I feel like last time I ordered it it tasted better to me but it was not bad by any means. People at the register were really nice, they had to go containers if you couldn't finish your food. We got the mixed platter with chicken shwarma and lamb, while my wife got the same thing except instead of lamb she got beef. Comes with a white a red sauce. Both are great on top of the meat. You can also chose a side and I got the Baba ghanoush and my wife got the hummus. Both were amazing and for the price, can't beat this You can dine in or take to go, either is gonna be great. Amazing new Mediterranean cuisine that opened up here in Exton! This little gem of a restaurant is a great place to grab lunch or dinner on the go. I've had their food several times now, but my first visit was with my family. We had a large party, but we were able to pull together a few tables to make it work. In the end we left stuffed, with leftovers to spare. I'm huge fan of lamb, and the lamb gyro did not disappoint! The portions were large and everything we ordered was came out quickly. One of the most novel experiences I had was the yogurt drink. The taste reminds me of cottage cheese and is a little salty, but in my opinion, rather refreshing at the same time. It comes in the regular flavor and the mint flavor. The mint is only subtly minty. The baklava was also great - not too sweet and delicately flaky. I could only eat the pistachio one as I'm allergic to walnuts, however the walnut one looked so good, I nearly caved. Great experience! Great, fresh food and friendly service. Portions don't *look* huge but they're hearty and delicious -- you won't go home hungry. I was really glad to find that they had fatteh: grilled meat (or felafel) over rice and fried pita chips with a yogurt tahini sauce. I hadn't had any in years and their version is fantastic. Had chicken shawarma and baba ghanouj on a later visit, which didn't disappoint. Two things I love: 1) $1 "mini" sides. I'm accustomed to Middle Eastern restaurants charging $3-5 for a side of mezze like hummus, baba, and so forth. Damas charges just $1 for a nice side of any of their mezze specialties, and it's great to get a nice little portion of stuff for a modest price. 2) You can swap out rice in an entree for grilled veggies if you're doing low-carb or just not feeling rice that day. read more

Delicious! Decided to try this place for a takeout dinner as we were in the area and read some good reviews. I love chicken shawarma and middle eastern dishes. When entering there are some tables to the left and right if you want to eat there but straight ahead is a counter to order. The lady was so nice when ordering and told me the kitchen was a bit backed up so it would be about a 15-20min wait. But it really didn't seem too long of a wait once they brought the food out. We both got the chicken shawarma dish with rice, garlic sauce and a side. I got the tzatziki and my fiancé got the baba ganoush. Everything was delicious! The chicken was tender and so flavorful. The garlic sauce was definitely a favorite of mine. It is very strong garlic but I love garlic so it didn't bother me! The baba ganoush was also delicious. The only thing I did not love was the tzatziki. It was a bit too much sour cream flavor or something was missing. We will definitely be back though to try this again. read more

I went to Dollar Tree in the same shopping center, and I could not stop being distracted by the smell of awesome food in the parking lot. Left to go hike at Bryn Coed Preserve 16mins away and could not stop thinking about that food smell. I actually cut my hike short to look up who had best ratings in that shopping center and boom, it's Damas. Closing soon? After reading all the rave Yelp reviews, we ordered an early dinner from Damas yesterday. I called my order in not realizing I could place my order online. I was able to pay ahead but I did have to go into the store to pickup my order. We tried the Lamb Shawarma, Greek Salad with Falafel & Pistachio Baklava. The Shawarma was good. I love the dipping sauce that came with it. The Baba Ghanouj was so good. I could eat a whole bowl full of just that! The salad was refreshing and had plenty of toppings! The falafel was tasty but a little on the dry side for me. The baklava was of course tasty! All-in-all the food was good and a good value. I would give them another try! read more

The food is just ok, was cold , i usually dont trust something delivered quickly and my son too commented it was fast and looks as if it was there for some time , the pita bread was ready to eat which was just warmed and even falafel looked like they are from frozen section . Food was cold and the rice they served was bit warm not much to rave about. this place is NOT something i visit again. I grew up in PA but live in LA, which has a plethora of Mediterranean and Middle Eastern food choices. I didn't expect to find top-notch Syrian-accented food in Exton, but Damas Mediterranean Grill was a lovely surprise. Exton is something of a halfway point when meeting one particular friend, and while we've typically done Chinese, having just had Chinese the night before, it seemed time to mix things up. Damas had an excellent Yelp rating, so I figured I'd give it a go. The inside is comfortable, with some tables in the center and booths on both sides. One orders at the counter, and then they call you when your food is ready to be picked up. After a discussion with the friendly worker at the counter, we both opted for the mixed shawarma (chicken and lamb), which came with rice, pita and a choice of side. My friend got the tzatziki and I got the muhammara, a spicy red pepper dip. Also, there were a pair of dipping/topping sauces--one that was garlicky and landed somewhere between the traditional garlic sauce and tahini, and another that was like a Syrian salsa. To start, we got the mini-sampler, which came with grape leaves, falafel, baba ganoush and hummus. I thought the falafel was very good, though not quite as good as the one made by a Sudanese stand in LA or Philly's Goldie. I very much enjoyed the grape leaves, and their versions of baba ganoush and hummus were strong (even if I tend to prefer the Israeli version of hummus--but that's just a personal preference). The shawarma platter killed it. Both meats were nicely cooked and fresh and flavorful--and well-complemented by the two dipping sauces. The rice reminded me of the rice at LA's acclaimed Syrian restaurant Kobee Factory in that it had great flavor all by itself, and the muhammara was vibrant and delicious. I would add that the presentation of both dishes was lovely (as evidenced by my photos). My one real note for the restaurant is that I'd love to see them go to compostable plates (or dishes that can be washed) to reduce their environmental impact, but all in all, this was a delicious discovery, and I'd definitely come back. read more

We just recently discovered this place while on yelp looking for something new/different to try. The place is small and not much to look at, but I never let that stop me from trying a place. We got the sampler with hummus, baba ghanouj, mohammara, and tzatziki. We loved all of them, but mohammara was probably our favorite. For our main course we got mixed (chicken and lamb) shawarma and the lamb shawarma fatteh. We enjoyed both but my lamb shawarma fatteh had pita chips in it and by the time we got it home they had softened a good bit and probably wasn't as good as it would have been had I gotten to eat it on site, but that's not an option nowadays. Overall, prices were very reasonable and the food was yummy. We will definitely eat there again. read more

During the pandemic, I ordered from here many times and was satisfied with each of the plates that I ordered. My favorites: The chicken shawarma is bursting with flavor, and they give you great spiced rice and a nice side. The baba ghanouj is also decent, and I think it's a very reliable filler-upper if you're still hungry after the main (with the pita bread that they give.
