I arrived and was greeted by Ryan. I took a detour to the ladies room to wash my hands and when I returned to the host stand he was looking for me. Attentive. That's a plus. He gave me the run down on the steaks and appetizers. I really wanted steak. Sometimes you just need a hearty meal and this was one of those times. Price-wise it's reasonable. 11.99-15.99 for appetizers and the steaks are in the $30's. The atmosphere is casual country/western in the bar. The music isn't too loud for conversation but it's loud enough to enjoy. There is a lot of laughing and talking and it's overall a very joyful place. I can't imagine coming in in a bad mood and staying that way, even if you tried. It's a family friendly atmosphere, but suitable for a date as well. Ryan was also my server and we chatted for a bit. Heck, he was so proud of the place, I thought he owned it. He represents the company very well. He gave me the history and some stories about features in the building. His work partner, Jessica, was dressed for the holidays with a holiday sweater and antlers with a super friendly attitude and strong holiday spirit. They tag teamed all the tables extremely well. As a former server, I appreciated the little details in the service very much. I ordered the fried mushrooms with horseradish sauce in lieu of ranch and a NY steak with soup and side salad. The side salad had shaved carrots which was a nice touch and I enjoyed it. It was larger than I could eat and still have room for everything else, so I stopped after about 3/4. The salad had iceberg lettuce, shaved carrots, chopped tomatoes, cheese and tortilla strips. The ranch was good quality with a fresh taste as opposed to the dressings that seem like it was made with oil or fake dairy products. The second dish to arrive was the fried mushrooms, which incidentally is one of my favorite appetizers ever. They were very good the batter was perfection. Ends up they are hand battered in house and made fresh. I will definitely order them again. The Mexican meatball soup was decent. Not too much bite, but enough to have personality. It's not something I would run out and make or buy again, but I'd eat it if it were served. The steak was good and tender, but could've used more seasoning. The service was amazing and for a dinner for 1, I even had a lot of conversation and laughter. I loved it and can't wait to bring my family here on our next trip through town. read more

We went on Thanksgiving and tried to order prime rib and ribs was out of both. Husband ordered the steak burger the waitress didnt ask how he wanted it cooked it came out pink and he ended up sick behind it. I ended up with the steak sandwich which I must admit was better in person than through door dash. The service this nite was terrible and slow Not attentive and took at least 15 minutes to come back and let us know they were out of the items. While waiting I watched our waitress go everywhere but our table. We just chalked it up to the holiday. That is until today we got there about 3 not very many people but the same very poor slow if any service. This time I was able to get the Prime rib and believe me I was not missing a thing. The place across the street is way better and has a lot better service. Asked our waitress for a extra sour cream and that took forever. One gal asked if we needed anything else I asked for more dressing we never saw her again. Salad was supposed to come out before dinner it did not it didn't even come out with dinner when I asked about it the waitress asked what kind of salad. These people need to be trained. Eh, have to give it 3 stars. It was so good. The first time we came in and sat at the bar then we came again and it was not that good. We came again and it was amazing. Then we came back and sat at the tables by the bar got no service so decided to go up to the bar still got no service, then got attitude then got served really bad food. I've only been on the bar side and sadly the food is not consistent. That is what I look for. I know people can have off days, but you should really not bring that to work and treat your patrons the same. I wish we could go back to the old days where tips meant to ensure prompt service unfortunately I will never be back read more

We were driving through Kingman and wanted to give this a shot. As soon as you get out of your car, you can smell the steaks being cooked. Restaurant is huge. My family ends up in Kingman every year or so. This was our second visit to the Dambar Steakhouse. We enjoyed it very much the last time, too. The front desk at our hotel said that customers really like it, too. It's pretty cool to find a nice dining establishment with a full bar off the 40. This is a big reason why we returned. Our waitress Kim was friendly. My family isn't really a biscuit eating bunch, but we could tell these were homemade and we all demolished that basket of biscuits in just a few minutes. Soooo good!! I loved my roasted 1/2 chicken and shared it with one of my kids. The skin really was crispy and it was delicious. My husband loved his steak tips and my other kiddo said his chicken fried steak was the second best that he's ever had. The bowl of beans they delivered to the table were tasty. Maybe a little too peppery for those with a gentle palate. This is a great place to stop in for a bite when we're in Kingman. We will surely continue to visit when we are in the area. read more

Found this establishment on Yelp after moving to Arizona. I needed a new place to celebrate Marine Corps birthday and this seemed like just the place. The ribs were real tender and bbq sauce was on point. I also had their brownie sundae for dessert which was really good. Tina was my waitress and she was very professional and friendly. I just spent $115 for two Fillet Mignon, baked potato's and a salads. The meals were horrible. First, While the fillet mignon (medium rare) tasted good, it was dry (no juice) which is probably one of the best parts. Second, the baked potato was cold (wouldnt melt butter) and undercooked (a little hard) Thirdly, the baked beans were seasoned with so much pepper they were disgusting. I talked to the manager and he seemed concerned about my comments and did add that the owner requires that much pepper in the beans... i guess that means there is no real chef to make those decisions. I think what made me write this review is i watched the manager walk back in the kitchen where he took no action. This post is not about money. Its about my wife and i on date night expecting a excellent meal and being disappointed. One could even say disrespected. In summary. We always stop to have dinner here when spending the night in Kingman Az. The food is great and not that expensive! Helen was our server and did a great job! The restaurant takes you back to the 50s and 60s with the decor! This was a very nice restaurant we were here in Kingman, AZ taking care of business and decided to stop by. When we walked in we were greeted by the manager and made us feel welcomed. I had fish & chips (catfish) w/ coleslaw. My husband had a chicken Cobb salad w/ ranch & blue cheese dressings on the side. My daughter ordered sirloin tips w/ seasoned rice, mushroom gravy, seasoned fries, and house salad. My son had cheesy steak sandwich w/ fries. We also ordered an appetizer called the dusty trail trio. The food was very good they give you your money worth. It was so much food but it was very good. I hate leaving bad reviews on restaurants because I understand it's tough to make a living, but myself my wife and my daughter all got sick, violently ill that night after eating at this restaurant and that was the only thing we ate all day literally not anything else just this steakhouse as we drove home and stopped in Kingman for our only meal. I'm quite upset about it, I felt like the food was very rushed. For example, the ribs just had a mound of barbecue sauce on them literally covered (couldn't even see the ribs) and the sauce wasn't heated on the ribs. Just looks like someone took a ladle and dumped barbecue sauce on dry overcooked rib ribs... the steak was very bland. Curious to see if anyone else got sick after eating here very recently. It's been six years since my last review so I decided I would give him a shot because they were one of the places that was open on Christmas Eve while I understand it's typically a busy timeframe because people don't wanna cook the day before Christmas. It's disappointing when you come in and you hear there's a party of over 10 people that scheduled a reservation arrived 15 minutes prior to the reservation only to still be sitting there waiting 30 minutes after. A party of two waiting for 30 minutes only to hear a manager come out and say they're not taking anybody else after six. There's no more tables available. They're open for another hour and they won't even see the bar which is open seating. We were going to go to a Thai restaurant but when we arrived there we were not inclined to go in. We had passed by the steakhouse and decided to go back and try it. We are SO glad we did! The place was immaculate, the staff and servers were friendly and professional and the cocktails were pretty dang good. Hubby and I both had the prime rib sliders and they were AWESOME. This place is cool and when on Route 66 it's a must stop... old country music playing m, pool tables ready to be used and drinks ready to be poured. They've got dollar bills from all over signed by passerby's and lovers alike leaving behind their mark.... At $45 - $55 a pop plus tip, well! The first steak was great, but the last 2 steaks were not so good, considering the price. The previous 2 steaks had a lot of gristle and were difficult to cut. Today, the baked potato was barely warm. My wife ordered the Philly Prime-Rib cheese steak, and it was delivered to our table without au jus sauce. Who doesn't like dipping?, it was uneatable. It was supposed to be made with thinly sliced fresh-cut cut prime-rib. The meat was dry, no juice and tasted like it was old meat. yuck! Tossed 1/2 of the sandwich in the garbage. I feel bad for my wife because she ate 1/2 of it and finally said yuck!, I tasted a few pieces of the meat and yuck!, Old dry meat... My husband and I went there today, 12/6. I ordered the Ruben and it was delicious. He ordered a filet mignon and was not happy with it. He sent it back to have a new one prepared. By the time it was done , he was no longer hungry. The manager was so nice and prepared a new meal for him to take home. When we got home, we tasted the new filet and it was delicious. On the way back from highly overpriced Vegas. Stopped in Kingman for lunch. We found this steakhouse, and after missing the turn into the parking lot twice, discovered: a "cowboy" steakhouse with friendly staff, clean restrooms and good food. Can I judge much by a burger as compared to a steak? Well, no. However, if the steaks are as good as the burgers, I'd stop for dinner. Their presentation was great, the food was good and the servers, as I said, were friendly and helpful. It was a nice experience. The surrounding area is a bit dumpy, but don't be put off.
