This guy tried to charge me $1200 to fix a pipe that I got the job done the next day for $300. A year and half prior similar leak a company fixed it for $250. He tried to justify the over charge because it was at night, type of emergency service. Still charged me $375 for coming to my house. Called another company the next day around the same time close to Christmas and they only charge me $300. Be aware. Make sure you ask them how much the job is going to cost before hiring them. I recommend Damman's Plumbing if your in need. I found him off a recommendation on the nextdoor app and am so glad I did. I have dealt with 2 other plumbers this year alone for a similar problem. The first snaked the main for a few minutes and tried upselling me on a $900+ hydrojet job. I called my insurance and they sent out a contractor who was here for no more than 15 minutes and claimed he completed the hydrojet job. Well its no surprise that 4 months later I am having a similar problem again. This time I was lucky to find a recommendation for Dammans Plumbing. I called and they were able to get me in the next day. (Could have same day if I had needed. ) Their pricing was very reasonable. I got Jesse. He was very kind and professional. He is good at communicating and explaining what is going on. He worked for about two hours using two different snakes. We had a huge blockage which wasn't toilet paper or napkins. The theory is the previous owners kid might have dropped something she wasn't supposed to in the toilet. I highly recommend them and will use him again if we ever need a plumber. read more

Late post, but we had a major plumbing issue, all bathrooms backed up. Called and Jesse came out. We have very old and poorly designed plumbing so the clog was bad. Jesse spent hours trying to snake it. Didn't give up even after 2 hours +. Called his father who came over and helped and they got it done. I really wanted to like this plumber. They are so close to my home and were pretty responsive. We had them change out a faucet and put in a new drain since the old one was at least 35 years old. I picked out a faucet but based on the plumbers suggestion he said he had better ones that we could get. He was right and I was in a pinch so I let him upsell me. Due to the change in plans his dad came in to install it. The dad mentioned that his son should have changed the valve because we had a two way instead of a one way valve. Again that was another charge but he charged us at cost so I appreciate that. The drain was the main issue, he put it in and we had so much plumbers putty that it kept squeezing out. For weeks the putty kept coming out. We noticed it leaked and they came back, but one day later it was leaking again. I paid $700 for the service. Eventually I had to hire another plumber which cost me 300 to fix the drain. My one suggestion is that maybe a little more care for clients. The other plumber I used put booties on to keep my floors clean and it's just little things like that would go a long way. read more

I had Damman's Plumbing install an extension on a shower handle in my guest bathroom. The technicians left the shower handle very loose and it was flopping around and shrugged off the issue when I told him it wasn't correct. He also left behind a huge mess. He installed connections using permanent thread locker (red loctite, evidence in pictures and more info below). Since it's a guest shower nobody uses it, and I'm mechanically inclined enough to fix it myself when I have time. The only reason I hired Dammans was because the extension part is a special order item (not available at your regular hardware store). Fast forward to now when I went to fix the issue and tighten up the handle. The center bolt pictured was not tight against the assembly which is why the handle was loose and floppy. On top of that it was impossible to remove. I tried multiple different methods to get it off and had to resort to cutting off the bolt head and using a large vice grip to get it off. The bolt nearly snapped as you can see the evidence of it twisting. The culprit? RED LOC TITE. If you're not familiar with what that is, it's designed to permanently install bolts and not be removed. It has no place in this application, ask any mechanic or plumber and they will tell you the same. read more

I had a clogged drain which they did fix quickly so they get 2 stars instead of 1 for the sheer speed. When they showed up I was just asking for them to look at it but they ended up fixing it without telling me how much it was going to cost which was $175 to just unclog a drain. The last company charged me $75 and that was around the cost I was expecting to pay for this time. If they had disclosed to me that it would have been that much I would have just called the last company I worked with. The plumber that came, I had asked him what was the cause of the blockage, he informed me it was debris...ok, of course it's debris, what else would it be? I meant what can I do to make sure it doesn't happen again and he couldn't give me a straight answer. The answer I finally got was "everyone has plumbing issues sometimes" If Damman's reads this, you need to disclose how much your service is going to cost before doing your work, $175 is outrageous to send a snake down a pipe. read more

Be aware that they would charge you $150 for a very simple fix. By simple, i mean just turning on the garbage disposal and covering the other end of the double sink.
