On June 30, 2026, we hired John Padilla Plumbing to clear one blocked kitchen drain before our Fourth of July party. We paid $1,642.50 the same day, covering a hydro jet service ($755.55) plus a new drain assembly. The invoice states the technician "performed a water test to ensure drain functionality." The kitchen line was still fully blocked when he left. Instead of a working drain, we received a recommendation for approximately $16,000 in additional repair work. The next day, another licensed plumber from another company cleared the same line in a single visit -- cable and hydro flush -- for $500. It has worked since, including through the party. When we requested a partial refund for the portion of the service that didn't deliver what the invoice described, the company declined, offering instead a credit toward the $16,000 project if we hired them for it. read more

Jalen and Jose arrived on time to provide a quote for our water leak which was on the main water line into the house. Since the existing piping was the old Quest plastic piping we knew we had to do a re-pipe, as many of our neighbors have done. Jalen quoted a price that was initially pretty high (in my opinion) we discussed options and eventually landed on a price that was acceptable. They had to provide an emergency water rig since the leak was discovered on Friday afternoon. This was helpful as we then had water over the weekend. On Monday Jose and Derek showed up and got to work. They trenched the yard being cautious of the customer wall we have in front. They project took 3 days. On the second and third days Jose and a new plumber named Dan showed up to finish the work. Each day they left the work site clean and presentable which is a sign that they really cared and knew what they were doing. We had copper pipe installed. They installed it to the proper depth and the routing and connections were clean. When they were finished they returned the yard to a condition whereby you could not even tell they had dug up the yard. Over all we are very happy with the installation and would recommend John Padilla Plumbing for anyone wanting a clean and efficient repair of their main water line. read more

I don't yet know whether the drain is going to remain unclogged. Humberto Royal did a great job. He explained everything he was doing and had me watch while he ran water for almost 3 or 4 minutes. These guys show up on time, do quality work, and obviously are very knowledgeable in their field with very reasonable (considering the times we are in currently) prices. They even replaced my very old washing machine taps that were so corroded I couldn't turn them for no charge. Can't really ask for more. Highly recommend these guys. read more

When he finally gave me a very high estimated cost he got upset and stomped off saying that the prior estimate I got was like comparing a steak dinner to McDonalds. Perhaps, it's what the need was at the time or my schedule...couldn't tell you because I've always been pleasantly surprised by their service I never remember if there was ever an inconvenience. I won't deny that their pricing is "up front," but it is the worst I've ever seen. Since when does a plumber charge over $450/hour? I got no explanation for the rates. This is the worst "value" I've ever experienced for plumbing. I was in a tight spot with guests on the way so I had them replace two problematic faucets. I had purchased the faucet hardware so all they needed was some new hoses and angle stops. If you're a billionaire these might be the guys for you because their technician Jose did a great job. We had a gas leak in a pipe that was below the house and accessible only through an access in the floor. The crawl space was small, and a person needed to literally crawl to reach the leaking pipe. Issac was the estimator and Randy was the guy who did the crawling to reach and replace the leaking pipe. Padilla Plumbing came through and the 2 individuals who did the work were outstanding. Had them come out to replace a water heater. Later sent me an invoice for around $4,000. It seemed a bit pricey considering it was 4 hours of labor and a $400 water heating unit. When I asked for them to simply itemize the invoice so I could understand what I was paying they immediately went to threatening to place a lien on my house. I'd probably not recommend! read more

We used John Padilla Plumbing in 2020 when they had a HVAC dept. They were so sure they could be there for any issues. They closed their HVAC dept less than a year later. I would have never went with them if I knew they were shutting down. In that short time, I had a defective filter mount that they claimed they couldn't fix, false promises about the drywall install (had to use drop ceiling), and then I had cooling issues. I just feel like they could have done more as far as their customer service. The only response I got was "the city inspected it" therefore they wouldn't take responsibility for issues such as "loose wiring" and bad installation. I just feel that is poor service personally. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. I now use other companies who are much better. read more

Worst experience I have ever had with plumbers. To start off I had a guy Patrick come out to the property to assess the problem and essentially to make the sell to me on what we should do which made sense. He was helpful and seemed transparent. He was confident that the plumbers can start same day with the remediation guys setting up containment. Then Javier the plumber that came to plan out the job came later in the day and said he can start the work the following day and can cover the furniture or shift around depending on what is needed. So I was like cool awesome everything seems to be going smooth Mighty Dry and John Padilla Plumbing will be here the same day working in different areas. the next morning no plumbers on site. the Project Manager Taylor was apologetic as he left a voicemail with my wife confirming plumbers will not be on site because Javier told Taylor it will be too much to work around Mighty Dry. So I'm like ok cool that's understandable forsure. so today is the day plumbers are supposed to start work, Javier and another plumber showed up on site and came to the determination that they cannot start work because the way Mighty Dry set up the containment and how the furniture is being placed. This might sound crazy but my response was why didn't you guys show up with the mitigation team to let them know what areas you will need to work on and that a pack out will be needed instead of telling me you can just cover and shift the furniture around. I then requested the plumbers to let Taylor know I wanted to speak with him. I called the plumbers business line since none of them give you a direct contact number and the receptionist told me that Taylor was in a meeting with a city manager and he wouldn't be able to take my call. about 5 minutes later I get a call from Taylor and Rick (apparently the owner) and they took no accountability for there poor planning, management, and communication. especially if I'm paying $17,000 (Originally $19,000- asked them to drop price to 17k) I expect to have professional work and professional communication and expectations. not showing up with the mitigation team to plan out the project is very poor. Maybe these guys are only used to working on residential homes and not town homes. But proceed with all caution, do not let them rush you into anything!!! make sure the mitigation is good to go and everything is being dried out. but as far as plumbers go do not rush and reach out to other plumbers. I'm sure they do really good work on homes but I don't think these plumbers are used to working in townhomes. cause Javier was like "usually homeowners have a garage to move all the furniture in". Good luck to everyone going through this and proceed with EXTREME CAUTION with this company and hope and pray you don't get assigned to Taylor or Javier. read more

I had to have a washer and dryer stack unit put in my unit and I needed the valves changed and the valve changed behind my refrigerator for the icemaker. Very simple. I called this company and they came out and gave an estimate of $2834.00. I didn't realize what they were charging me for my son-in-law was really upset about it and he did call them and say that he thought it was way too high and he called and told me that they were charging me $1000 an hour my son-in-law looked up the price of the parts and the parts were just under $200 and it was gonna be two hour job.. I called the company and I said are you charging me $1000 an hour and the guy said he that my son-in-law didn't realize that they have an apprentice program they fund with that flat rate and some other things and I said again, are you charging me $1000 an hour and he started to tell me the same thing they were charging me $1000 an hour so I canceled it and my son-in-law came down and did it himself very simple. I talked to another plumber the next day and he said my charge would've been $150 to 300 max.. This is a very very expensive plumber. read more

I don't normally write reviews but this is a totally incompetent company. They quoted me over $1k after totally misdiagnosing an issue. I am fine with paying for professionals to fix something but they were far from professional in their understanding of things. I was having issues with cold water and they wanted to replace an entire system when it was as simple as the cold water not being turned on all the way. I was unaware of where to look for this but it should have been obvious to someone who routinely works on these systems. Instead they jumped to the most expensive option. I expect professionals to be the problem solvers and not make assumptions. This was total incompetence and dishonesty. It wasn't a one off because on the same quote, they misdiagnosed two separate issues where the solution was elementary and they were prepared to charge for something entirely unnecessary.
