Do you like my slice of cheese? It was good. It really made the burger.

Granted it's Myrtle Beach. Friday night. Bar staff overwhelmed with standing customers. A full waiting room with customers and not worth the view. Oh, they shut down outdoor services due to wind and cold. Granted, we waited outside on the deck and yup, we wasn't eating out there. But that was the point. Ocean views. 6pm arrival, left at 9 pm. Granted, it wasn't worth the menu. FYI, the cheeseburger was decent.

We visit this place yearly on our trip to Myrtle, make sure to make a reservation if you can so you don't have to wait because they can get busy! They are quick to get your order and always treat us well. The food is decent for the price, and the ambiance is pretty laid back. Not bad for an evening dinner by the ocean.

Beverly Clement and I (Willie Conway) arrived at Damon's around 4:15pm. We were able to find parking in the front row. The flowers around the front walking area were bright cheerful and beautiful. We walked towards the elevator and the breeze from the ocean was fabulous. Once upstairs we were showed to a table by the window so we could enjoy the view. We were waiting for two more friends to join us this time. I always say...if you love a restaurant bring friends and increase the business for the owner. We asked and they told me Bryan was on vacation. Good for him! Bailey came to us and took our drink requests. She returned quickly. Soon after that our friends arrived. We talked so much they forgot to look at the menu. Bailey kindly offered to return. It was my birthday and I knew I was able to get anything I wanted for free with only a few exceptions. I love how Damon's offers that for our community. It's perfect. I asked for the salad with grilled chicken. The other got steak, prime dip sandwich, and drinks all around. While we ate the laughter was nonstop. The gentleman came around and offered to take our photo. I love that too. A memory from my special day. I ordered three copies ...one for each of my friends. The food was marvelous! Everyone raved about their dish. Following the meal I handed Bailey my ID for proof of birthday today. We noticed 5he lobby filling up and we had a long relaxing meal. I was ready to go. My meal was for free I only had to pay for my drink. Overall it was a fabulous birthday event for me. Thank you Damon's. Willie Conway.

Just another fantastic find while touring our 7000 mile trek to see what we've never yet seen in the good ol' USA. We stopped in from next door at the Holiday Inn. Saw this place and decided to walk a very flat and not too far walk but were a little thrown off at the entrance. Then we realized that everything is on stilts and made our way to the elevator. Once upstairs we were greeted and seated quickly for some drinks and some grub. Nice place. Very oceanic themed place. Nice bar and I assume a great view during the day. We couldn't see sh** at night. Drinks were cold and decently prepared. If I remember (on a 7000 mile trip), we shared a very good prime rib dinner. So says the wife, but I couldn't find it on the menu. I remember we were happy after our visit because Justin was on top of the game and made our visit perfect. Another cocktail and we were back on a crooked course back to the resort next door. A pretty bitchen place. CritDicks

We went for Valentine's Day and had a wonderful time. The food was delicious and the service was amazing! The view was excellent and when we were leaving the helicopter company was just flying over head!

I came here for a working lunch on a Wednesday afternoon. The beautiful ocean view is so nice to have during a meal. The menu is expansive! Their lunch selection has so much variety. I got the grilled chicken which surprisingly was over very flavorful rice, then two sides, pecan sweet potatoes and banana pudding. Everything was delicious!! Our waitress was great and the food came out quickly. Definitely a great spot.

Christie was our waitress. She was excellent. We were four people one was having a birthday which his meal was free and we all ordered something different and all the food was excellent. The ribs were so tender. The flounder was cooked perfect and my companion state was also excellent and the fridge onion. You must try all in all. It was a perfect evening would definitely go there again and we are three locals and one tourist.

A trip to Myrtle beach, SC for my birthday. This restaurants was next to our hotel on the beach so I knew the view would be great. We chose to sit outside so we can see the beach and the beautiful view. We were seated quickly. Our waitress was in training I think or it was his first day, he was so kind. Honestly when it comes to the food, we weren't too impressed. The chips and spinach artichoke dip appetizer was my favorite. I ate that instead and took my meal back to the hotel. My sister ordered fried liver. It was lunch time so I got something on there. Our food came cold. Waiter was nice about it and took it to heat them up for us twice. It was a busy day and the place was packed but I saw that staff were attentive to everyone. Great location, nice view, nice staff and great service. Next time I will read reviews to see what is good to order. I would love to go back.

Luckily I saw a packed place on Mr. Joe White Avenue called Simply Southern Smokehouse. Place looked legit and had a full parking lot so I pulled in. There is only one way in and once you get in, the cashier is on the right with the $15 all you can eat buffet right next to it. The $15 also included all you can drink soft drinks, water and sweet tea. I paid my money and grabbed a plate and ran right up to the buffet. They start out light with vegetables and sides, working up to the main courses of fried chicken, fried fish, pulled pork, smoked chicken and some hot wings. After that, they had some mac & cheese, and then the desserts which was blueberry cobbler, peach cobbler, homemade banana pudding...and a couple of other things. I started off with some broad beans, stewed okra and tomatoes, smoked chicken and hot wings. I brought my plate and my silverware to an empty table, which was getting hard to find as the place was so packed and then went up to fetch me a glass of water to wash it down with. They serve Pepsi products and of course sweet tea but I was going to save my calories for dessert. The place was clean, well lit and the seating was well designed with booths along the wall and tables in the center... and plenty of room between the tables. Once seated I dug right in. The broad beans were excellent. Done right and full of flavor. The stewed tomatoes and okra, although cook correctly was a bit bland for my liking. The smoked chicken was excellent and I used a bit of the golden SC BBQ sauce on it...great...and homemade. The hot wings were the real deal meaty and moist with a nice kick. I finished the plate in about five minutes. Time for round two. On my second trip up, I put some collard greens, lima beans, a piece of fried chicken and a piece of fried fish on the fresh plate. As I sat down to eat, I put a bit of hot vinegar sauce on the collard greens and dug in. The collards were excellent and the homemade vinegar hot sauce gave it a bit of a kick and bite. The Lima beans were soft and loaded with flavor. I then moved on to the fried chicken, which was cooked correctly with the skin crispy and well battered and the meat moist on the inside. That said, it was bland. Given how well the beans were seasoned I was surprised. Same thing with the fish, but they had a real good house sauce for it which gave it a nice flavor and saved it, but overall both the fried chicken and the fried fish were bland. I then went up for a plate number three and realized I was not gonna be able to eat anymore mains, which was a shame since the pulled pork looked great... It will have to wait for the next time I come. I did, however leave a bit of room for dessert and I'm glad I did . The banana pudding was delicious with a full banana taste and 'Nilla wafers on top and bottom adding a bit of crunch. I only had enough room for one of the cobbler so I chose peach and it did not disappoint. Nice and warm with a sweet peach flavor and tasty crumbles. I wanted more but controlled myself. As I got up to leave, I placed five dollars on the table for the cleanup guy who was hustling and keeping the place neat and tidy. I then looked around and noticed this was a real local spot full of people from Myrtle Beach. You have families, elderly people, young people, construction workers and people from local businesses. For $15 it cannot be beat. Not only will I be back again but I plan on bringing some of my friends from up north who are going to love this place...plus I gotta try that pulled pork and Mac and cheese...if the fried chicken and fish have more seasoning, I'll up them to 5 stars.
