Horrible horrible horrible . 100000& a tourist spot. Drinks barely has any alcohol and the shrimp basket was straight up from the local grocery store freezer isle and we're about the size of a penny. Won't be returning ever and highly don't recommend it to anyone. read more

Great location on the beach so the view is spectacular. This presents as a family style chain restaurant (think steakhouse version of red lobster). The floor was cluttered with bits of meals past so the germaphobe in me had a moment, but the birthday boy (14) wanted a steak! lol Damon's offers a free meal on your birthday (anything on the menu except the 20 oz steak and 1.5 rack of ribs) so it was his top choice. We chose the ribeye and it was cooked perfectly. I like med to med well and, for some reason, that can be hard to achieve at dome restaurants but they got it perfectly. The bathrooms were a nightmare but the staff was friendly so I would give it 2.5-3 stars for food and service. The lack of cleanliness and maintenance in key areas that customers see is something they need to address. Loved the dedication to our service men and women. The food was good , I got french onion soup and a nice salad ,my husband got ribs and steak, He said it was good also. The server was very nice and accommodating, I am in a wheelchair and the have a elevator to get the 2 floor, We were seated right away,outdoor seating was a 15 minute or so wait. We were offered multiple options and decided to sit in the bar by the windows thinking that would be away from kids. Wrong. After placing our drink orders we sat for a while and then placed our food orders. A salad and bowl of She Crab soup and the BBQ plate with French onion soup. The main meal came out quick and no soup. Also no silverware. I had to get up and go to the bar and ask for some. Our server comes out with our soup and is shocked to see our main course has arrived. She apologized about the timing. The rest of the meal went smoothly. The She Crab soup was full of crab and was so good. The Hubby loved his French Onion soup. Damon's is fantastic! Everything I've eaten there has been delicious. Their side salads are large and very good. The ribs are delicious and the sirloin steak I had was also excellent. And if it's your birthday, you get a free meal and a tiny cake to take home. I think Damon's is top notch and also reasonable. read more

We were warmly greeted by their charming hostess and promptly seated All the food came out hot! and in a timely fashion Started with the cocktail Cadillac Margarita, it was very tasty and refreshing, then progressed to the 10 wing app/w sweet chili sauce, they were very flavorful but hard. The She Crab soup was good, it's rich and creamy made with Atlantic Blue Crab also dined on their Crabcake & BBQ Ribs combo. with a Baked Potato side. The combo food items were both delicious as was the loaded potato. This restaurant is like an upper scale Friendly's. The decor and diners here reminded me of a restaurant in the 80's. The 80s music enhanced that feeling. I don't think that is what they were going for though. The she crab soup was really good. It had crab in every bite. It was very thick and filling. The French onion soup was alittle better than average but not much cheese. It was more of a piece of bread the grilled chicken was over cooked. Rice and green beans felt prepackaged and heated. The Bloody Mary was decent. My friends shrimp skewers were nothing special either. Everything here is average. At best. Except the she crab- it was really good ! Our server was really nice but she left our plates on the table the whole entire meal. I won't be back here again. There are far better places right up the road. read more

Always a good choice. We now live in a condo right down from Damon's and walk down frequently. We enjoy lunches of their appetizers and an occasional dinner. The food is always spot on and the service is good. Always a favorite. Here for hubby's Birthday dinner. The food and drinks are fabulous. Our waitress is lovely. Definitely overworked. Damen's always seems a little out of sorts after the summer help Leaves for a while. The food is still worth the slower service though. I must say, I've have better at Damon's. I ordered the house salad and a bowl of French onion soup. The salad is salad and the sherry vinaigrette dressing is awesome. The soup on the other hand was warm at best with barely melted cheese and a soggy piece of bread. No effort made to throw it under a salamander. Oh well. Better luck next time right? Hubby always enjoys his wings and did this time too but I noticed his fries were less than spectacular looking. Kinda soggy with some cheese and a sprinkle of bacon. Our waitress was nice. All in all the food just didn't present the way it usually does. I guess the kids have gone back to school. The service always does seem to take a dip when that happens for some reason. Hmmm So. It's now Summer in Myrtle Beach and the service and good have definitely gone downhill. We come regularly and have had some great meals. Tonight was NOT one of them. Cold chicken tenders. We watched out r onion loaf be taken to the new folks next to us. The wings were slimy and the fries cold. The onion loaf was the one redeeming quality in the whole meal. Amazing friendly service. We arrived shortly before closing and restaurant was still full of diners. We were asked if we preferred outdoor or inside seating, we chose outside and was perfect overlooking the beach below with the sound and view of the ocean waves and pier. Bartender made great drinks. Asked to speak to Management... never acknowledged by the manager although he was quite taken with the table beside us whose complaints were the same as ours. My wife and I accompanied some guests to the area to Damon's for a late dinner last Sunday (11/22/20). We were seated outside with a really beautiful ocean view. The service was excellent and everyone we encountered was extremely nice and welcoming. Our party consisted of six people and the meals ordered ranged from a large salad to a huge steak dinner. All the meals arrived together and were all very good. I would recommend Damon's to anyone for their food quality and service and I suggest you try to be seated outside. Our group of 4 stopped in for dinner about 5pm. There was a small wait for a table in the dining room or we could sit in the bar area, with no waiting at a high top table with the same menu, which we did. We were quickly greeted by Kristi, our server. She was GREAT! She had several tables and was working hard, but we waited for nothing. She was very friendly and efficient. We all ordered happy hour drinks and snacks. Very tasty! Our meals were served to us in a timely manner and all meals were served just as ordered.
