The tofu soup didn't have my preferred flavor profile and the beef was diced in small cubes. They were also chewy. The beef I'm used to in this dish is similar to bulgogi. The lettuce wraps had so much potential. The pork itself is delicious, but overall tasted one dimensional and could've used some samjang and kimchi. I could not stop eating the kimchi pancake and the dipping sauce is perfection. Great and attentive service. No complaints. The ambiance alone deserves 4+ stars. Went here right when it opened on a Sunday night. This place definitely has a hole-in-the-wall vibe to it. The outside is very subtle and then when you walk in, there's mini booths to separate the different tables while there are two large tables in the center of the restaurant to accommodate for larger parties. The individual booths definitely seat up to 4 people. Lighting is pretty dim and there are movie posters/kpop groups/soju ads all over the restaurant. This is the perfect spot if you want some late night food as it is open until 2 am. The provide side dishes, but to be honest, I did not think their side dishes were yummy. They had kimchi, macaroni salad, and some noodle texture side dish. The macaroni was definitely undercooked as it was still hard. The kimchi tasted very sour and then the other side dish we received was pretty decent, but it was nothing great. We got their strawberry mango soju pitcher ($40), corn cheese, porno fries, steamed egg, spicy pork quesadilla, and their korean spicy ramen. The quesadilla was definitely my favorite dish from everything that we got. It was flavorful, had a lot of meat and cheese, and the sizing was perfect for our group of 3. The cheese corn did not really have any cheese so that was kind of disappointing, but it was still yummy. I am the type of person that loves the cheese aspect of cheese corn so I was a bit disappointed that there was not any cheese. The porno fries were okay. I do not think that I would get that again unless I am with another group who wanted to try it. The korean spicy ramen was tasty and comforting for the rainy weather. The steamed egg was kind of bland, but the texture was perfect. We had to ask for some sort of soy sauce to add flavor to it and thankfully, they were accommodating and gave us their pancake soy sauce on the side. This is a cool casual place to hangout with friends, enjoy some good food, and drink some soju. The outside might seem a little sketch, but it's all good vibes inside. Service is what you would expect as well. Nothing bad, but nothing amazing either. The pricing might seem a bit expensive, but the portions are big and easily shareable with other people. The nachos were surprisingly good too though I'm not sure how I feel about it sitting on a bed of lettuce. The short ribs are also flavorful as you would expect of any short ribs. The cheese pork cutlets were good and had a good amount of cheese, though I wish I had asked for more katsu sauce on the side. My only real complaint was that our table/booth was a little small for four people. You could probably comfortably fit two or three people. The booths here are walled off from other booths so there's a sense of privacy, but the space felt really cramped together. The tteokbokki here is my favorite of all time because it's the perfect texture of soft and chewy, and the spicy sauce is so delicious. The corn cheese is sweet and tasty and we always have to get 2 orders bc 1 isn't enough, although it technically doesn't have much of a cheese pull. We also got seafood sundubu which is always yummy, bulgogi which was pretty standard, and a kimchi pancake which was the perfect level of crispiness. The flavor lacked in the soy and garlic and was more sweet to me. The spicy soup with chewy noodles had just the right amount of heat. Surprisingly liked the chicken potstickers even though they were boiled/steamed. I am more of a fan of pan seared, but the filling of them made up for the lack of crunch. I mostly go here with large groups (8-15 people) and mainly for big events like birthdays (when it's not that, I'm doing take out from here). Finding parking around the restaurant is hit or miss - it depends on the day you're there (super hard to find on weekends, especially on First Fridays since it's right down the street). I like to park around the corner at the end of the block (not on Telegraph). It's pretty dark on those streets, so be aware. The ambience of the restaurant definitely settles well with large groups and a night of drinking. I love the isolated seating in booths but also the long table at the center for huge parties. There's a bunch of art along the walls that are more on the erotic side, hence the nickname Porno Palace. While here, it's always good times and loud conversations. If you're more into a quiet setting, I recommend coming in earlier on in the evening. My top recs for food here are: - KOREAN FRIED CHICKEN (spicy and garlic) - TTEOKBOKKI - CHEESE CORN These dishes are standard at Korean restaurants, yes, but they are great here! My favorite is the tteokbokki because it's made to be super cheesy and the sauce is thick! Ideally I wish it was spicier, but that's completely fine! The cheese corn would be my second favorite here because of the cheesiness - very much similar to the consistency in the tteokbokki, just without the sauce. The KFC here is crispy and tasty, and better for those who don't really like KFC that is overwhelmingly saucy. You'll definitely find good times here! The one in LA is unbelievably good with a completely different menu featuring small plates ranging from $1.99 to $3.99 as well as larger entrees. This place is basically a Korean restaurant with drink specials. As soon as we walked in and saw the menu, we should have left but decided to give the place a try. We got the fried calamari, chicken gizzard combo with beer and pork belly lettuce wraps. All the foods were okay. The chicken gizzard combo came with a small plate of chicken gizzards and two large beers. We got more beers than we expected and way less gizzards than we expected. Will I be back? Nope. Do I recommend? Not really but if you're looking for a place with beers, soju and food, this place has all three but it's NOT the same as Dan Sung Sa in LA. read more

The garlic soy fried chicken was had a good texture and was fried well, but the sauce is a bit too sweet for my liking. The Corn Cheese is extremely buttery and very sweet. My friend liked it, but it's a bit too much butter and sugar for me, and I wasn't sure where the cheese was in the dish.
