DUDE. THESE GUYS ARE AWESOME. Due to unfortunate circumstances, my bumper got tore up. It was completely scratched, on the verge of being shredded. I needed to get it fixed as soon as possible since I have a long commute to work, but I also needed to stay on a budget. I went to a few places and was quoted $400-$1500 plus 2-3 days repair time. I decided to text Dan and upon first interaction, he was so nice! He needed more pictures and didn't want to quote me until he got a better look. After I was able to get the photos he needed, he called me immediately and quoted me far below other repair shops. Dan was even able to fix my car the very next day and only asked for 2-3 hours to complete!!! He explained to me that their company is completely mobile and come to your house for the repair. However, I had work and couldn't take the day off. Dan was SOOO accommodating and let me drop my car off at his residence, which was conveniently really close to my work. We were able to coordinate the key drop off to make sure it was stolen or lost. The fix/work is AMAZING. Cesar was the personnel listed on my invoice, so I assume he was the one that made the repair. It took him 2-3 hours to bring my bumper back to life! The work is super clean and you can definitely tell that these guys are great at what they do. What I appreciated the most about Dan was his honesty. I needed to get a dent fixed on my door as well, but he was completely honest and told me that it was a job that could be done best by another person or in an actually body shop. I consulted him about pricing and he gave me his expert opinion on what he thought the damage would cost. He referred his friend, Leo, to me, and helped me with liaising the introduction. The Toyota wasn't a week old (see my Toyota of Orange review) when I put a foot-long pinstripe above the front wheel by rubbing the wheel arch panel against my workbench going into the garage. Days later, someone scuffed the rear bumper while parking by feel in front of Gulfstream. Then a summer later on a narrow mining road above Mammoth I scuffed the front bumper going into the cliff wall avoiding some guy in a truck who thought he had the right away since he was going faster and his wheels were bigger. I texted the pictures to Dan who quoted me via text and sent a confirmation email also. When Dan was done, as usual, I couldn't tell where the damage was. Not sure how he does it but the paint matches the entire vehicle. He's a really nice person and does great quality work! This review will be long but hopefully helpful for someone who is unsure of where to go for services as I was. This review will describe my experience with Darren from Dan the Bumper Man. I began by googling "car paint job" to fix a scratch and dent on my Rav4. I came across Dan the Bumper Man and it immediately caught my eye because it stated instant quote and mobile services. Yelp had 5 star reviews so I checked the website. Website provides a phone number which you can text pictures of the damage and location for an "instant quote". Which I did. I received a call from Darren maybe 6 hours later, but I missed the call. Luckily he followed up with a text. When I called back, Darren gave me two quotes. One for the dent and one for the paint job, which would need to be scheduled on 2 different days. I am not familiar with what normal cost of fixing dents and scratches on cars cost. TBH I didnt do a ton of research . But the quotes I was given seemed reasonable considering it was a mobile service and they can work on the car while I worked from home and be done by the time I had to pick my son up from school. This next part is why I gave Dan The Bumper Man 4 starts vs 5 stars. The website was a little deceiving. I was under the impression I would Dan or Darren or someone from Dan the Bumper Man would be coming to my house to work on the car. However, a different person from a different company called me to schedule the dent removal and after the dent was fixed a different person from a different company reached out to schedule the paint job. My experience with the two individuals from the 2 companies varied and will be explained in detail on the corresponding Yelp reviews (info below for reference). Overall, Darren from Dan the Bumper Man seemed like the middle man coordinating the schedules, but he was a pleasure to work with. Communication was not an issue. When the dent company was late I text Darren and not long after that the dent company called me to sort out the issue. I wont post pictures since Dan the Bumper Man company did not technically fix me car. The dent was fixed my Mark at OC Dents and the scratch was fixed by Cesar at Auto Cosmetic Solutions. read more

Thanks to Darren and Caesar. Called for a small repair (front driver side bumper with scratches and paint transferred on) that I didn't think I could get out with rubbing compound. Darren gave me a quick appointment. Here's how they work: 1: you call them go over the car and send him pictures 2: he looks at the pictures and gives you an estimate by phone and you book an appointment 3: they show up with their mobile shop and do paint mixing etc on site In our case Caesar showed up and proceeded to get the excess paint off with some paint thinner. He then informed me that the car actually didn't look bad with the scratch attended to and suggested that it was not necessary to paint the entire bumper since it looked good. Accordingly our repair was 1/3 the estimate and I gave Caesar a nice tip for being a class act. Very impressed whenever a business advocates for a customer even if it means reduced profit for them in the short term. 5 stars, these guys are a class act, and will absolutely use again and refer to others. Dan fixed my back bumper twice within a manner of months (yeah, I'm that awesome of a driver) and I have to say that his work is great - it is very reasonably priced, he works quickly, and you can't even tell there was prior damage when he's done. Why 4 stars and not 5? I took a day off of work so that I could drive my car down to Orange County and borrow my friend's driveway, and he didn't show up. He said that he was unable to offer me any sort of discount for the inconvenience (since he was already given me a return customer discount) as he said he'd be losing money at that point. I believe him, and that his margins are not super high given his reasonable prices, but given the frustration of a wasted day off of work I think he could have been willing to throw SOMETHING in for my trouble (if for no other reason than that he had already made money on me from my previous job). But, running a business is running a business and mistakes happen and the work that they do is good, so still 4 stars for me. read more

Getting an estimate was brilliantly easy via sending pics over text messages. I put some nasty scrapes in the lower left front bumper of my BMW. It's a very unusual metallic blue (Estoril Blue II) and I was afraid a repair wouldn't match. It was deep enough to require filler and a lot of sanding. Dan was extra careful to tape off the entire front of the car for overspray and he worked out in front of my garage for about 3 hours. I'm really nosey and he had no problem with my checking up on his work. The results are exceptional.
