I've always dreamed of having a coffee shop within walking distance to my house. I live in the apartments across the street and this spot is so great for those mid-morning or early afternoon pick me ups. The staff here are so friendly, too. They always check in to make sure my drink is how I want it (e.g., asking if I have enough ice, etc.). It's never crowded when I stop by either which is nice. There are a few tables inside to sit but there's also lots of outdoor tables and benches nearby due to it being located in the corporate plaza. Will definitely come back again soon to try the food too!

Just popped in for a delicious hot tea before heading home on this blustery winter day. They use "Art of Tea" products here. Service was great! Parking is always validated!

Their grand opening was yesterday, 2/27/17. The decor inside is pretty cute without being too much. The staff was really friendly and worked quickly. Hopefully, they'll stay that way. You can check out the menu on the website. They accept all major credit cards, so no worries there. It's a little small or cozy with chairs and benches, so it can probably only fit like 10 people comfortably. It's definitely convenient to go downstairs and grab a quick drink/food. So, onto their food and drinks. (Feedback from co-workers.) Their breakfast burrito was okay for $7. It was about the same size as the Chick-fil-A breakfast burrito. It had your standard scrambled eggs, steamed potato chunks, bacon, mozzarella cheese and bell peppers/green onion wrapped in a flour tortilla and roasted tomato salsa on the side. To be honest, it tasted like something you could make at home without any seasonings. Nothing mind-blowing. Gets the job done kind of burrito. It was definitely healthy and not bad at all, but for $7, I could go to Nate's Korner down the street and get a gigantic breakfast burrito that would ruin your health but is a lot more filling and delicious with fried hash browns and more meat inside, or any other Mexican joint. From my co-workers though, the egg white wrap and breakfast panini were decent. The teas and lattes were okay, nothing too crazy. However, the lattes weren't exactly lattes. It was more like mixing warm milk with tea instead steaming the milk with the tea and making the foam at the top. But hey, if you need a hot drink, you got it. Overall, a nice and cute place when you don't want to walk far, but you're definitely paying for the convenience. They also need a sign or something! No branding or anything that lets you know it's a cafe from the outside. But they're still new and still learning, so I gave them some slack.

Came for lunch at this place for the 1st time and it has a pretty decent selections menu. The place is located in the area of offices, next to the hotel. Looking from the interior of the restaurant, high ceiling, with bar in the middle, I thought it was part of the hotel but it's not. My lunch is always simple and I ordered the signature Dandelion Salad with extra chicken. It was really good. Heard from my friends their sandwiches are also nice and delicious. Next time, I definitely will try them. They also have good coffee, excellent aroma, and pretty strong. Looking from the menu, looks like they are offering catering services. Probably not a bad idea to try this as well for office functions. Btw, services were very good.

I always got the chicken curry sandwich here when I was too busy to bring my lunch to work. Tbh, i don't want to give bad review for just some occasions, but its happened 3-4 times out of prob 10 times my orders. I sympathized for the first few times since i understood they might have been busy during lunch time. But today is the worst I've got so far. Seriously, the food is very inconsistent, the regular sandwich i used to have was a lot more chicken, curry sauce and raisins in the salad, it was fresh and good display I swear....but this time, 1 scoop of chicken i guess, i couldn't tell if there's any curry sauce, raisins stuck together. The photo, I separated chicken and lettuce but the sandwich was already in a bad display. I don't want to spend $10 for this stuff... Overall: Customer service is good. Cashiers are friendly. Clean environment. Food... sucks. I hope the owner be aware of the food inconsistency and doing better next time. Best,

I wish they opened earlier. Hint hint :P Right next to the Mariott and behind Andre's. Theres a small sammich shop and cafe nestled in the corner. Quite difficult to see and access is strange. Anyhoo many of you will figure it out. Will upload more pics later. The food is pretty standard. Like all places here the food starts out pretty, pic friendly but over time, they stop caring hahaa. Give em a shot.

I got there just as the order was predicted to be done, but I ended up waiting another 10 minutes, which was fine for me. It's a sparsely decorated sandwich spot, with a little bit of seating, but it's clear this is a grab-n-go type place. After picking up the sandwiches, I cut both in half and ate half of each. I can't really remember what I got, but that was kind of besides the point anyways. They offer a variety of breads, so I opted for dutch crunch and a regular french roll. The dutch crunch wasn't as good as others I've had from other notable sandwich places, but the french roll was great! I liked the construction of the sandwiches, as they were tightly wrapped and not over-stuffed. Good ratios and not too large as to not be able to wrap your mouth around it. But as for the content itself, I just wasn't blown away. It was perfectly normal, but I didn't feel anything beyond that. As a lunch place, I feel like it's a good option if you want a sandwich, but if you've got something closer to you that is marginally similar, I'd head there first.

Food: This was one of my favorite spots to go to for lunch or to cater from during college!…read moreMendocino's sandwiches are amazing, especially their Not So Fried Chicken, Vegan Banh Mi, and Happy Hippie! I've heard the Peruvian Steak, Prosciutto, and Chicken are good too! My only feedback with the Happy Hippie is that there is slightly too much filling, so it falls when you are eating the sandwich. Each of their sandwiches comes with two halves and is filling and satisfying. They also use fresh, vibrant vegetables, and a store associate told me their bread is baked fresh every day! Service: The service here is half the reason I come! A lovely store associate will guide you when ordering, and they will bring the food right to you! When they bring the food, there are two napkins on the tray. If they see you carrying your tray after you are finished eating, they will also offer to take it for you! Although the sandwich prices are slightly premium, you are paying for their healthy ingredients and exceptional service! Ambiance: This restaurant is spacious with many tables on the inside and outside! Their bathrooms are also really clean and well kept! Please go here for a healthy, non-bloating meal when you're in the area!

8/05/26 5:18 p.m. University Town Center…read more I decided to try the Peruvian Steak today without avocado. I usually order the Not So Fried Chicken, but I wanted to switch things up. I'd rate the Peruvian Steak an 8.5/10. The bread was perfectly toasted, the mustard added just the right amount of kick, and all of the flavors complemented each other well. It would have been a perfect 10/10 if one side of the bottom bun hadn't been completely soggy from the mustard spilling out of the sandwich. I ordered my sandwich to go, so if I had waited until I got home to eat it, I think the entire bottom of the sandwich would have been soggy. That was disappointing. For to-go orders, I think Mendocino Farms should automatically serve the mustard in a separate sauce container to help prevent this issue. My other qualm was with the pickup process. When I received the text that my order was ready, it read: "Your order at Mendocino Farms - 10 - UC Irvine is ready for pickup. Please proceed to the counter." Some restaurants have signs explaining whether customers should grab their to-go orders themselves or wait for a team member to assist them. I waited patiently at the counter for several minutes while a team member saw me standing there but didn't acknowledge me. After about five minutes, I finally asked, "Can I grab my order?" The process felt confusing and could have been communicated more clearly. Overall, I thought the sandwich was delicious and a great portion size. However, I think the to-go process could use some improvement. I ended up eating my sandwich in the restaurant because I could already see the bread becoming soggy when I picked it up, which wasn't part of my original plan.
