My husband and I came here for lunch. We arrived around 11:30 and there were already several tables taken. It wasn't long after we were seated that every table was filled...that certainly says something about the restaurant and we agree! We ordered our meal and paid for it at the cashier before picking out a table. I always like panini's and their Grilled Veggie Panini was delicious as were the beets with feta cheese side dish that came with it. My husband ordered the burger that came with lettuce, shredded carrots, etc., although what he wasn't prepared for was how spicy it was...but his side dish was a tasty Waldorf Salad. The restaurant has nice decor inside as well as very welcoming street frontage with a couple of tables outside. Along with enjoying our lunch we really like supporting Safe Light Family women's shelter. This was our first time at the Dandelion Eatery but it won't be our last!!! read more

This is a great little cafe just off Main Street in downtown Hendersonville. Very charming inside. We stopped in for a bite to eat as we wandered around checking at the shops on Main Street. The food is excellent and the staff friendly. We had the open faced tuna melt and the grilled chicken sandwich - both were delicious. The sandwiches come with a choice of side. We had their soup of the day (bean soup) and house salad. Both were very good. Very reasonably priced. In addition, this restaurant is a non-profit that provides assistance to survivors of inter-personal violence. Great cause, great food! read more

They do a pretty good job here. I like getting the soup, side, and bread. The soups are good. Not the biggest fan of the spinach but the tomato is A+. I wish the side of bread was more consistent. The first time I got a really nice roll, the second time was toast, the third time was a piece of wheat bread. I love the healthy sides! It's nice to eat beets or an apple kale side instead of having to get something fried or boring :). This is also a local business that supports abused women in many ways, look it up! We just found this little gem on Yelp. OMG!! Wonderful. I got the turkey, tomato and cheese panini. Fresh basil leaves hidden inside. Yummy. Got a cup of homemade tomato soup with it. Again, wonderful. One friend got the shrimp and grits and is mumbling glowing reviews while she eats. My other friend reports the taco salad is great as well. Large portions for the money. My coworkers bragged about how good this place was so I had to check it out! The staff were super friendly and the menu items looked amazing. They had unique dishes such as the black bean burger. I ordered the shrimp and grits with the tomato basil soup as a side. The shrimp and grits were a little salty, but still good. The tomato basil soup was slightly spicy, but was good as well. My friend had their turkey panini with apple slices in it. I had a bite and it tasted super fresh. I'm definitely going to come back to try some of their other options. Oh my lands. Three words. SHRIMP AND GRITS. Garlicky, cheesy magic in a bowl. With tiny mushrooms and spinach and of course plump shrimp happily swimming together in a saucy topping, this is easily one of my favorite meals in a long, long time. We chose pickled cucumbers and onions for a side. The grilled sourdough with pimiento cheese and crispy bacon was also a hit! Highly recommend this humble but welcoming spot that, as a nonprofit arm, serves domestic abuse victims. This restaurant is apparently run by and benefits battered women - a noble cause. I ate here with my daughter and grandson; we were there for breakfast. The place is cozy and the staff very friendly. They didn't have a kids menu as such, but the baby was happy with his grits and sausage. I had a sausage biscuit that was absolutely huge (I took half of it home). They would not prepare a piece of quiche although it was very close to lunch time, so my daughter had an omelet instead. The food was delivered as it was ready - grits came first, then five minutes later my daughter got her omelet, then another 5 minutes later I got my food and she got her biscuit. So this place is so great on many levels. Let's start with the company as a whole. They employ a lot of ladies that have some personal things going on. The money they make goes to a great cause. If the owners or staff want to give more details that would be great. The atmosphere is pretty modern. Downside is the parking. I park in the parking lot across the street and risk getting towed. Lol. The staff is super friendly. Probably in the top 5 in Hendersonville. The food is fantastic!! Fresh! Changing with what's available. I recommend the portobello mushroom sandwich. They have some great products they sell including their t-shirts and everyone was helpful even with a large party with kids. Amazing food and service. You would think the portions would be small but holy cow did they give you a big lunch. I had the tuna melt with walsdorf as my side. What a wonderful restaurant! The food was outstanding. We had the chicken salad, awesome and not too mayonnaisey, sloppy jane, turkey and brie panini. Best staff! They were so kind to the kiddos, even brought a small extra side of the grape salad when they saw one of the kids picking off mom's plate.
