Well worth the $17 price as the roll was amazing filled with turkey piled high and fresh lettuce tomatoes crunchy dill pickles... we split the sandwich and were both highly impressed and satisfied. The turkey was sous vide and roasted per the super friendly butcher and tasted oh so good! This is a hidden gem of a small butcher shop and deli (that is part of the Zookers Restaurant family) known for its farm-to-table, locally sourced, and organic meats and seafood.

Heirloom Tomato Salad- $18 for 3 thin slices of tomato, absolutely not, the menu should be written to say loads of greens with 1/8th of a tomato. Would never support anyone ordering this for this price. Iberian pork chop- shut the front door this was a good chop, a few more veg would be nice, overall the mustard sauce and the cook on this was delightful. Alaska Halibut special- that's some juicy fish you gotta there!! The dill sauce absolutely sublime! Banana and walnut Bread pudding- so we ordered dessert ONLY because dinner was so good and whomp whomp it was awful- overall dry and sweet. My guy had said based on the dessert menu which is everything restaurants without a pastry chef have on ten menu ie bread pudding, crisp, ice cream and something chocolate we shouldn't have done it, eat savory here and go somewhere else for dessert. Service was great, and we were there early before the Saturday night crowd, it was airy and calm, overall enjoyable.

The restaurant was busy, with tables pretty much full both inside and outside, but luckily we were able to get seated without a wait. I ordered the fish tacos, my son had the linguini pomodoro, and my wife ordered the cioppino. Everything was delicious. The seafood tasted incredibly fresh, and the fish in the cioppino was so tender it practically melted in your mouth. The broth was rich and savory--maybe a little on the salty side, but we still really enjoyed it. The service was another highlight. Everyone was kind, friendly, and welcoming, and you could tell the staff was working hard to make sure everyone had a good experience. I also really liked how diverse the menu is. There are plenty of choices for different tastes, whether you're in the mood for seafood, pasta, tacos, or something else. Overall, this was an awesome first experience and a great discovery during our trip to Carpinteria. We'll definitely be back next time we're in town, and we're looking forward to trying more dishes from the menu!

Unfortunately, after giving Teddy's by the Sea multiple chances, the problems have become too consistent to overlook. We've had repeated issues with online orders--food mixed up or not prepared the way we ordered it. On one occasion, we even found a piece of plastic in our lobster mac and cheese. But the most frustrating issue has been the completely inconsistent closing time. They advertise that they're open until 8:30 PM, yet we've shown up as early as 7:40 PM and been told they're already closed. This hasn't happened just once--it's happened to us multiple times. We really used to enjoy coming here, but between the order mistakes, the plastic in the food, and never knowing whether they'll actually be open during their posted hours, we've finally given up. If you advertise that you're open until 8:30, customers should reasonably be able to expect you to be open at 7:40.

We arrived 30 minutes before they closed and it looked like everyone was busy cleaning up. We headed to the back to see if we could order a smoothie since we heard so many great things about them but when we got to the counter the multiple people that were behind the counter didn't even acknowledge us for a few minutes and then I caught one of the guys that was back there looking up at us and I asked if they were still open since it says they close at 7:00. He looked confused and asked another worker "hey, are we still open?" He then told me yes and kept cleaning, I stood there for another 5 minutes or so and nobody came over to take my order or even looked up at us so we just decided to grab a wrap to go. I got a veggie wrap and my daughter got a chicken avocado one. We were both very disappointed with them. They were very bland and tasted like they had been there awhile. We did look around the store and noticed they had a good selection of health food products, supplements and drink options. So we went up to the front to pay and nobody was at the register so again we waited probably close to another 5 minutes and the girl came back in from outside to ring us up. It came up to $33.95 so I gave her $34 at first but then after she punched it in I found a dime and tried to give it to her and she looked at me confused and I said "you can just give me back a dollar" she said no that's okay and gave me the 95 cents for my change. I guess you don't have to know how to do basic math when you work the cash register. Thankfully after all of this the theatre was close by and we made it to our movie on time.

This is a health grocery store, which carries a variety of supplements, snacks, beverages and other food items. When you walk inside, it has the "healthy" smell to it, if you know what I mean. At the very back of the store is where they have a walk-up counter where drinks are made to order. The menu is displayed above and there were so many options to choose from (and ingredients were listed, so you knew what was in it). Almost everything had a little healthy twist to it, so it was like ordering a guilt-free sweet treat! When they make your drink you take your receipt up to the register to pay. And while they were making our drinks it also gave us time to browse around the store. Definitely great if you need some snacks for the road! I left with the Piña Colada smoothie and it was simple, but delicious! The perfect beverage to help me cool down. It's a great store! Highly recommend!

The owner recommended the lasagna when I told him what pasta I should get! I've been to Italy and this was on par with that. For desert I got the light lemon custard which was very refreshing with an equally impressive cappuccino. Ciao, Bella!

Here's a break down of my experience: First of all, we came on a Tuesday afternoon for lunch. It says on the menu to ask about the daily special, but there weren't any. The waitress told us that on the weekdays, they do not offer daily specials since they do not have seafood on the weekdays; a weekend exclusive is what we were told. Very disappointing. We said it was fine, however, when it came to placing our orders from the menu, the waitress stopped us three times to let us know they were out of certain ingredients like ham and Italian bacon. Most of the food we ordered were not the dish in its complete form. Pasta Amatriciana: The dish I ordered. It did not come with the cured pork Italian bacon as advertised. The dish itself looks visually appealing but it was incredibly mediocre. The sauce was watery and poorly seasoned. Overall, the dish lacked flavor. I rate it as a 1/5. Chicken Vodka Pasta: the dish my mother ordered. Her comments were the same as mine. She notes that the sauce lacked seasoning and she described it as tasteless. Again, another poor dish. She rates it as a 2/5. Chicken Fettuccini: the dish my father ordered. He didn't have that much to say about it other than it being subpar. He rates it as a 2/5. I will say, in terms of pay, the price was fair. For 3 dishes, all of which came with generous portion sizes, totaled to about $62. Overall, I don't see myself returning to Mollie's in the future. They were out of many ingredients which led to mediocre dishes being served. If you wish to come here, I strongly suggest you visit on the weekend since they only serve special/ seafood dishes then. Other than that, Mollie's is a hard pass.
