Dang Burger has been on my list for so long and I was not disappointed at ALL! For parking, they do not have a separate lot so you will need to find street parking which is ample on the street next to the location. Dang Burger shares its location with a bar so when you enter, you will see the order counter to the left. The staff was friendly as they walked us through the menu and shared their favorites. Now...let's get into the FOOD. I am not sure how long the wait normally takes but we waited nearly 45 minutes for our food. But the wait was worth it because the MEAL, it was so GOOD! It's so hard to not see and taste the resemblance between Dang and In n Out, especially with the fries, but Dang wins!! Highly recommend the Single Dang and the Hot Dang! read more

Found this place on Yelp on our drive back to the OC from Santa Barbara. It was a cool, laidback burger joint attached to a bar. It was perfect that we were able to eat our burgers while having beers, sitting at the bar. Our burgers were so good and hit the spot! We would definitely stop by again if we are in the area. read more

Bottom line: great little spot! Some Work colleagues and I were in the neighborhood looking for a place to have a quick team lunch, and this place popped up We showed up just a few minutes before open, and there was already some people gathering in anticipation of them, opening their door doors We ordered lunch and sat down and drank in the hustle and bustle of downtown The food was good, the service was good and overall, we really like this place! I had a double dang smash burger today and it was burger perfection. I have yet to have a smash burger anywhere else as good. A lot of restaurants don't put much thought into their burgers; Dangburger, on the other hand, has nailed it. The beer served at Sunburst, which shares the same space, is excellent. I highly recommend the Transmission lager. read more

Stopped by this place after work on a Thursday night. I ordered a double dang with no tomatoes and an order of fries to go. It's an "order at the counter and sit anywhere with a buzzer" type of spot. The vibe inside was good but tbh it kind of smelled funky (like farts) :o I sat and waited for my order for over 30 minutes. Honestly it was worth it but I wouldn't wait much longer than that. I couldn't take any pics of the food because by the time I got it I was a little hangry and scarfed the whole thing immediately. The fries were In-N-Out-esque and SUPER salty. They give you a portion that's a fair size for 2 people. There is no denying the quality of the burger. Everything from the bun to the meat to the toppings was delicious. Definitely hit the spot, just plan to stay a while. read more

Great burgers! Fries are great too. Gotta eat them while they are hot. The burgers are seasoned well and i even went back for a second burger because it tastes so good. Have been back a few times already and am very happy this place is close by. Certainly worth checking out. It's pricey but if you're on vacay in Santa Barbara, this is a worthy stop. read more

The Smashburger here absolutely delicious! We enjoyed their fries as well. Service was super friendly and a beat. Love the location, plenty of outside seating as well as a few seats inside. They share space so that you can buy drinks and pick up burgers at the same time.the quality and flavors are there, well worth the split! I read the SF Gate review of this place, and even though I don't eat burgers that often, I wanted to give them a try. I ordered online - if was an easy process. However, when I arrived I was disappointed that the website did not give me an option of ordering the special of the day (which I would have tried). The place is clean, warm and more like a bar than a hamburger joint. They were friendly, and I got my food fast. Double burger - I gotta admit, the burgers are damn good. Hot damn burger - now this was excellent. It wasn't TOO spicy, just the right level. I would highly recommend this one. Fries - similar to In N Out, but cooked better. I really want to give this place a 5 but reasons for a 4 is that it was hard to find...look for the Sunburst bar sign & the fries were small pieces. BUT the burgers were delicious & the salad was huge. The salad was made of the crispest fresh green with a delicious lemon vinaigrette dressing. Not a lot of seating but worth a stop. read more

Okay so all the hype around these burgers I think actually has to do with the name. To be perfectly honest, it was just a decent short order counter service burger. There was nothing extraordinary about it. I understand the smashburger trend, but this thing was so skinny and small. I like the idea of using beef lard for the fries And it definitely does positively affect the flavor of them. But overall this was just a skinny little patty short order burger. It was totally ordinary and nothing extraordinary and certainly didn't drive me to say"Dang" It was a good burger and I'll probably go back again at some point, but it didn't leave me with stars in my eyes for sure. I went to Dang Burger a couple times when they had their popup and loved them! I am so excited for them to have a physical location! There is plenty of parking on the street. You go in and after ordering at the counter, you're given a buzzer and can grab a seat outside, at their window bar or at the Sunburst bar (and grab a beverage! I got an amazing glass of wine to pair with my burger and fries). The wait time wasn't too bad especially considering this place got pretty popular during lunch on a Sunday. The burger is simply amazing! So much flavor. The fries are also out of this world. The perfect crunch! I would highly recommend giving this place a try. read more

A well known pop up smash burger group finally has a permanent home; and what a great choice they made. They have joined Sunburst Wine Bar inside their building on Carpinteria Ave. Easily located downtown Carp area. Sunburst offers their great variety of local beers and wines. They also carry a great variety of non alcoholic beverages. Dang Burger is a great addition to this Bar adding burgers, fries, salad, and cookies. Missing though is dang burgers jalapeño burger which is my favorite, but they do have their awesome in house made veggie burger. They tell me they plan to bring the jalapeño burger back, good news. Also missing is the license to allow under 21, they are waiting but it did not come through for their opening weekend. I will be happy when that arrives as it would be a great family place to enjoy food and a libation. There is a fabulous outdoor deck that will be great for family. There is a small area on the side outdoors where we could sit with our grandchildren. Service was friendly and efficient. For a Smash burger this is a good stop and the fact that you can enjoy beer or wine at the same time is a big plus. read more

First and foremost the biggest problem. Parking essentially there is none you gotta find parking on the streets or elsewhere close by cuz it will be buuuuusy. Food took about 30 min to be ready. I wasn't in a rush so I didn't mind. The burgers are flatter burgers not your typical roundish burgers that flavor was pretty good. Fries have a different texture (not a bad one just different) than the typical fast food place but still yummy . Cookie was pretty yummy not going to lie soft and crumbly while being able to maintain its form. Over all really yummy would go back there again as long as i have the time. read more

I finally stopped by Dang Burger and the food lived up to the hype. The smash burgers were some of the best I've had and the fries were crispy and crunchy. I definitely recommend getting the double burger. The flavor is amazing especially with the grilled onions. The location is right inside Sunburst wine bar and you can grab a drink while you enjoy your food. The patio style seating is great since you're right in the middle of downtown Carpinteria. The staff is also awesome. The place can get busy but they will get your food out ASAP. If you love burgers check out Dang Burger!!! read more

I ordered the double and I wasn't disappointed. Hands down the best burger I had in my life. I don't dine at the fancy steak house, so I can't comment on those type of burgers. In terms of fast food or diner type burger, there is nothing better. The balance of the sauce, the freshness of the lettuce and Patty. It's just a great burger up and down. read more

We're so lucky to have this in Carpinteria. The service is impeccable. The food is always fresh, hot and good. The atmosphere at Sunburst is always great. I usually get the double Dang Burger, extra pickles that are house made and super yummy. All the sauces are also house made, and the ranch is exceptional. Today my friend ordered the Hot Dang! As a cheese lover, I loved it! My husband has a dairy allergy, so he asked if the onion rings contained dairy. The person at the register took the time to check with the kitchen, and we appreciated that. Unfortunately, they are made with buttermilk, so he went with French fries instead -- which are always his weakness. He really enjoyed his mahi mahi sandwich, although the fries could have been hotter. We will definitely continue stopping here whenever we're in the area. Wow, it was smooth with a bit of sweet finish, so addictive!!! Still had hours to drive so couldn't just have as many as I wanted, but I checked online and seemed Albertsons sold it so figured I can just pick them up back at home. But the gentleman resting at the bar told me he delivers their beer but only up to the hills. I guess maybe available in stores up to Camarillo, but not over that hill/mountain. I had to have more of it, and they had 6 packs in the cooler for purchase so went for a pack. The green cans are such delightful vessels to hold the even more delightful liquid inside. Wife even cut out the top and using the cute cans as planters, lol! The cans poured out at home was excellent as well, very fresh and refreshing and could get tiny hints of avocado on sips. Just a great beer! After browsing the brewery, it seems avocado honey ale is their signature beer, so I got lucky to choose that from the menu, lol. While enjoying the beer, the amtrak train blew it's horn to leave from the Carpinteria station, so we rushed out to wave and enjoy seeing that go by right in front as well. I am sure the locals were shaking their heads at our excitement of seeing the train go by, one gentleman when leaving even complimented my kid's dance moves from when we were out there to greet and send off the train, lol! Awesome local spot and great folks, just a very relaxing spot to enjoy the delicious avo honey ale! Just hidden so maybe not many visitors to Carpinteria find it, but I picked it out from search for brewery and chose this over the other one on the main streets. What a find for an out of towner! Hope they can expand out or grow their delivery area, maybe get it sent to total wine which must have a distribution center. Otherwise, this is a must stop for any SB trips for sure!

Service was fast. The restaurant was small but quaint. I liked the decorations. It gave fisherman cove vibes. This eatery is located in a very small, cramped town. There was no parking lot and very little street parking, so we had to park in the nextdoor neighborhood which was no more than a 3-minute walk away. We got yelled at an angry resident for "coming from Los Angeles and crowding our streets" and for "****ing up our community" because we were parked across from her house (and not in front of anyone else's house). We were in the process of leaving. There were also others parked along the residential street and no street signs prohibiting parking. I won't be returning.

Is everyone who works here on meds or something? Coffee was terrible and watered-down, and simple premade sandwiches took 20 minutes to heat in a panini press and bring out. Food was very mediocre and my "poached" egg was basically hard boiled. The food tastes much better when you order online, probably because they actually know you have a set time limit to pick it up so they make it fresh and with effort.
