    Our food. Tons of fries!!

My wife and I went here to check it out always good to try smash burgers. They did not disappoint they were really good and full of flavor. Service was more of a self service but ok. You order you food and the give you a buzzer and you have to order your drinks at the bar?? Can't I just get everything I need right here!! Oh well. Nice places to eat outside.

A beautiful new addition to Carpinteria Avenue. Carpinteria's main drag just got a lot more stylish. Convenient parking in the back lot or on the street. The interior is modern, intimate and stylish, featuring a nice bar with a curated selection of local beers and wines. Dong Burger is perfect for a post-beach meal. The food is a total homage to the classic California smash burger. While the burger was delicious and the ingredients tasted high-quality, The $13 price tag is the "beach tax" in action. The fries and red trays will feel very familiar to all In-N-Out fans out there, though it will hit your wallet a bit harder here. Service is still in the "soft opening" phase but very pleasant. It's a great place to grab a local beer and people-watch, but if you're feeding a large family on a budget, you might want to head down the road. Buen provecho.

A little pricey, but the vegan burger and fries were really tasty! I liked the black bean patty and the fries were really crispy and seasoned very well. It was close enough that I just walked to the beach and ate it their, but the interior seemed cute and had a bar and plenty of seating.

We came on a day trip to Santa Barbara and ended up finding this spot with great reviews. We had to make a separate line to buy our drinks which was odd but understandable. Our burgers were so freaking good. The fries were delicious too. They only have outdoor seating but they had so much space to sit. They also had limited parking. I will definitely come back !

Burgers were flavorful, but simple. The Hot dang was actually spicy. The fries were better than I expected. The negative would be the limited seats, and lack of shade. Casual outdoor seating along a busy street.

I've had my fair share of smashburgers and this by far is the BEST that I've ever had. Walk up and order inside so there are no servers. I went on a busy sunny Sunday and didn't have to wait that long for my juicy smashburger. Has a nice vibe with a small bar inside that serves wine and a handful of beers on tap.

Very yummy burger and fries...reminds of in n' out really. Service was good despite it being busy. We scored a seat outside for our small group and it's a great local spot for Carp! I would definitely stop by here again when in Carp and want a burger in fries and don't forget to ask for extra pickles! I love pickles and they made every bite extra!

Dang burger was so good! I'm a huge smash burger fan and this met all expectations for a solid smash burger! The meat was juicy, the bun was soft, and I loved the sauce. The burger was very flavorful. I also had their shoe string fries. Small fries that reminded me of in n out, but were tasty. We ordered our food and it came out quickly. It was made fresh and hot. There's indoor seating, but mostly outdoor with some shaded tables. The prices are very reasonable. There's beers on tap too. No complaints about Dang Burger! I would definitely recommend it and return again!

Dang Burger is in downtown Carpinteria, CA. They share space with the Sunburst Wine Bar. I knew I had to check this place out since every time we drove by, the patio was packed. I did check it out and that burger sure is a dang delicious burger. When you walk into the building, Dang 's ordering counter is to the left. Staff are super helpful. Awesome attitudes. Sunburst Wine Bar is to the right. The outdoor patio is for all customers to use. All the burger patties are 3 oz patties of grass feed beef with the cattle carrot feed. That's what the menu stated. I don't know if feeding the cattle carrots makes the meat taste sweeter and more tender. But I do know the burger was delicious. The burger cost $9, not a normal price I would like to pay for a minimalist burger with a 3oz patty. The menu options are not large. They have a few burger choices $9-$14, a black bean burger (vegan) $14, uncured hot dog $6, salad $10, boiled peanuts $3, chocolate chip cookies $2, and fries $4-$6 that comes in two sizes and two cooking methods. Both method involves hand pressed fries. Then one involves deep frying twice in tallow; and the other is a vegan version. I had the non vegan version. Mmm. As I ate them, I had no clue how they were prepared. Delicious. But I'll go with the vegan version next time.

Insane. One of the best burgers I've had in a long time. Surprisingly great despite coming in 20 minutes before closing. French fries were cut small - as in short, which wasn't my favorite and single handedly the only gripe I have. They are fried in beef tallow and have a very delicious taste. I'd recommend coming here, and while eating my single cheeseburger the taste and quality was reminiscent of what I would imagine In N Out tasted like when they first opened, before getting popular.

One of the best burgers I've had in a while- Had the double with fries! Perfect sunset view eating outside on the high top. Personally, a big fan of shoe string fries. The burger was delicious. Definitely a treat. Order at the counter- food comes out hot and promptly. Grab a drink at the bar. Enjoy.

Came on a rainy Thursday and ordered at the counter and waited about 25 mins for my food, longer than I was expecting but it was lunch time and they are very popular. I got a beer from sunburst while I waited and sat outside. I got my order finally and ate it up quick, I was so hungry. It was so filling though I didn't eat dinner! It's high quality ingredients for the burgers and fries. And lots of food! Enjoyed the rainy patio and slow carpinteria vibes

The restaurant was busy, with tables pretty much full both inside and outside, but luckily we were able to get seated without a wait. I ordered the fish tacos, my son had the linguini pomodoro, and my wife ordered the cioppino. Everything was delicious. The seafood tasted incredibly fresh, and the fish in the cioppino was so tender it practically melted in your mouth. The broth was rich and savory--maybe a little on the salty side, but we still really enjoyed it. The service was another highlight. Everyone was kind, friendly, and welcoming, and you could tell the staff was working hard to make sure everyone had a good experience. I also really liked how diverse the menu is. There are plenty of choices for different tastes, whether you're in the mood for seafood, pasta, tacos, or something else. Overall, this was an awesome first experience and a great discovery during our trip to Carpinteria. Unfortunately, after giving Teddy's by the Sea multiple chances, the problems have become too consistent to overlook. We've had repeated issues with online orders--food mixed up or not prepared the way we ordered it. On one occasion, we even found a piece of plastic in our lobster mac and cheese. But the most frustrating issue has been the completely inconsistent closing time. They advertise that they're open until 8:30 PM, yet we've shown up as early as 7:40 PM and been told they're already closed. This hasn't happened just once--it's happened to us multiple times. We really used to enjoy coming here, but between the order mistakes, the plastic in the food, and never knowing whether they'll actually be open during their posted hours, we've finally given up. If you advertise that you're open until 8:30, customers should reasonably be able to expect you to be open at 7:40.

We arrived 30 minutes before they closed and it looked like everyone was busy cleaning up. We headed to the back to see if we could order a smoothie since we heard so many great things about them but when we got to the counter the multiple people that were behind the counter didn't even acknowledge us for a few minutes and then I caught one of the guys that was back there looking up at us and I asked if they were still open since it says they close at 7:00. He looked confused and asked another worker "hey, are we still open?" He then told me yes and kept cleaning, I stood there for another 5 minutes or so and nobody came over to take my order or even looked up at us so we just decided to grab a wrap to go. I got a veggie wrap and my daughter got a chicken avocado one. We were both very disappointed with them. They were very bland and tasted like they had been there awhile. We did look around the store and noticed they had a good selection of health food products, supplements and drink options. So we went up to the front to pay and nobody was at the register so again we waited probably close to another 5 minutes and the girl came back in from outside to ring us up. It came up to $33.95 so I gave her $34 at first but then after she punched it in I found a dime and tried to give it to her and she looked at me confused and I said "you can just give me back a dollar" she said no that's okay and gave me the 95 cents for my change. I guess you don't have to know how to do basic math when you work the cash register. Thankfully after all of this the theatre was close by and we made it to our movie on time.

Here's a break down of my experience: First of all, we came on a Tuesday afternoon for lunch. It says on the menu to ask about the daily special, but there weren't any. The waitress told us that on the weekdays, they do not offer daily specials since they do not have seafood on the weekdays; a weekend exclusive is what we were told. Very disappointing. We said it was fine, however, when it came to placing our orders from the menu, the waitress stopped us three times to let us know they were out of certain ingredients like ham and Italian bacon. Most of the food we ordered were not the dish in its complete form. Pasta Amatriciana: The dish I ordered. It did not come with the cured pork Italian bacon as advertised. The dish itself looks visually appealing but it was incredibly mediocre. The sauce was watery and poorly seasoned. Overall, the dish lacked flavor. I rate it as a 1/5. Chicken Vodka Pasta: the dish my mother ordered. Her comments were the same as mine. She notes that the sauce lacked seasoning and she described it as tasteless. Again, another poor dish. She rates it as a 2/5. Chicken Fettuccini: the dish my father ordered. He didn't have that much to say about it other than it being subpar. He rates it as a 2/5. I will say, in terms of pay, the price was fair. For 3 dishes, all of which came with generous portion sizes, totaled to about $62. Overall, I don't see myself returning to Mollie's in the future. They were out of many ingredients which led to mediocre dishes being served. If you wish to come here, I strongly suggest you visit on the weekend since they only serve special/ seafood dishes then. Other than that, Mollie's is a hard pass.
