I wish I had the foresight to have hired Daniel Tile a little over a year ago when I instead decided to refinish my bathtub (spoiler alert: please don't waste your money on this service - the refinishing peeled a year later and their warranty repair peeled too). Just wanting the bathtub out, I was referred to Daniel Tile by Bullnose Tile. Daniel answered his phone (seems rare these days), came out a couple days later and provided an estimate for building a walk in shower that was in the middle of others I had received. I won't get into the reasons of why I selected them - but what I will says is how very thankful that I did. David and Sergio were assigned to my project - they put so much effort into my job - you'd have thought they were building a shower for Oprah, not little ole me! Their attention to detail blew me away every single day. Even as the project dragged on and I knew they must be sick of laying and cutting another one of my tile, they never stopped making sure every single thing was perfect (says the girl who is hard to please). Daniel was very efficient in providing a quote and then assigned Alex and his crew from Daniel Tile to get the work done. Often it is difficult to get a quick response from crews, but Daniel and Alex found ways to fit in my work as soon as it was possible. They also were excellent in making introductions for me to other contractors that were needed to do my renovation correctly. They worked carefully and did an outstanding job. The first impressive thing was that he got back to us in less then 5 minutes!! We sent pictures of our kitchen that needed a tile back splash and again he sent us a quote within 5 minutes. Daniel and his team, I highly recommend for flooring needs. The quality of their work is exemplary. In our two-story house they completely replaced our carpets/tiles/Vinyl with wood and tiles. They helped us with valuable suggestions, in selecting the wood/tiles/bullnoses/baseboards and also several choice of places to buy them from. They remodeled our fireplace and entertainment center and made it look really nice. We have added new things as the project went on, they patiently did a great job. Daniel first came to our house on a Saturday evening for the estimate and we were so impressed with him and gave him the project to start on Monday morning and we are very happy with our decision. They are detail-oriented and patient during the finishing of the project which is something not easy to find. Their prices are reasonable and it is easy to work with Daniel. Customer satisfaction is their #1 priority. While other contractors we spoke to said they cannot replace the carpet under closet shelves without probably damaging the shelves, these guys did a professional work by installing wood with the closet shelves being as sturdy as they were before. They also did quality staircase wood work. They painted all the baseboards and replaced all bath faucets and took care of the construction cleaning and hauling. When we faced some unexpected challenges like floor was damaged next to an upstairs bathroom, they replaced the wood with reasonable additional quote. Their prices are not only reasonable and also when unexpected things add up they will still quote reasonable price. Other contractors might rip you off there. Daniel and his team are knowledgeable in what they do, very friendly and have great attitude. Overall we are extremely impressed with all aspects of the project. These guys deserve more than 5 stars! Really don't enjoy writing a negative review, but we were so disappointed with the absolute lack of professionalism and follow up by this company, that we felt compelled. After spending numerous hours writing a thorough statement of work, complete with photos, architectural room schematic, specific needs, etc. - so that Daniel understood our project needs and could provide a timely and accurate quote - they came back with a vague and incomplete proposal, missing many items we scoped. Note: This is also after Alex came to our home to view the project in person too!! We then attempted, over a period of several weeks, to work with Daniel to iron out any confusion, but he was extremely unresponsive, difficult to reach and lacked the normal level of professionalism you might expect. After much wasted time and effort on our side, Daniel responded with yet another vague quote, in email format, missing numerous important details covering the project scope. HUGE RED FLAG!! We determined that if Daniel was unable to be responsive, professional, and demonstrate an understanding of the $12K+ we were engaging them with him with, it was better to move on to another more professionally inclined vendor that could. I reached out to Daniel Tile with a short time-line for refacing my fireplace with stone. The job had some extra challenges as the front of the fireplace had to be made perpendicular to the floor and there were a couple other tricky details. Daniel was a pleasure to work with. I hired Daniel to do the tile work on my hall bathroom and he did such a good job I hired him to do my master bathroom. Both bids were very fair and at the lower end of other bids. They thoroughly planned out the project and took their time to make sure everything was correct. They did an amazing job installing my glass tiles and the 24" X 48" wall tiles. Disappointed. My husband and I sought Daniel's services because we saw beautiful tiling displays at Bedrosian, San Jose. Promising start, Daniel was prompt about returning our request to schedule an appointment and arrived on time. Daniel stated he would provide an estimated cost to remodel 1 bath and an estimate to retile our 2nd bath within 24 hours. I text him the following evening to inquire about the estimate, Daniel text "Hi I'm working on your estimate right now"...4 days later, NO estimate. If Daniel can't respond to a job that he hasn't started, I'd be cautious about hiring him to do any work at all. We had to replace our wood floor because it didn't work out with our floor heating system. So we decided to get tiles installed instead. The challenging part is that the floor heating is installed with aluminum boards. The solution was to screw concrete/HardieBacker boards onto the floor heating panels without hitting a pipe. (1k sqft floor requires hundreds of screws) We knew Daniel and his team from the installation of our beautiful bathroom. And we knew we need this kind of quality work for this project. Besides that, we wanted to get it done as fast as possible, because during this project we had to live with a one year and 3 year old kid in one Bedroom. Daniel Tile just made it work and the team is as well very careful in the working area to not damage anything. Besides that they where even so kind to cut some doors and toe kicks in the kitchen because the floor was higher than before. They know what they are doing and they really earned their money with hard work. Their offer was a little bit higher than others, but totally worth it. And we are so glad that we decided to go with Daniel Tiles Inc.
