We celebrated my grandmother's birthday at Danielle's. The decor is really nice! We were super impressed when we walked in. Our server was very attentive, without being annoying. She did an amazing job. We ordered several appetizers and drinks, and everything was delicious! The happy hour wine deal on Mondays is awesome! We couldn't believe that pretty good wine was only $3. Another nice touch was the well stocked restrooms-mouthwash, deodorant, tampons, anything you could ever need. It really showed the management's attention to detail. Three words... southern fried chicken! Yum! This transformed restaurant is a nice addition to a very slim restaurant group in Castle Rock/Castle Pines. The bartender started out our night with delicious libations and great service. The calamari appetizer was tender and fresh. Then came the chicken.... moist, hot and full of flavor! The fact that people give this place good reviews shows how little Castle Rock knows about good quality food. This place had terrible service and it took almost 45 min to get our food. We love Danielle's - everything is just right. The food, the wine list (amazing options and all good wine), the ambiance and the service. We even enjoy the beautiful drive down to the area and consider it part of the evening. I would encourage you to go there for a meal - from special occasions to a family dinner after a soccer game. My only advice would be to upgrade your cable package so you get local sports (like the Rockies) because, after our dinner, we like to hit the bar for one more drink and an inning. Just found Danielle's this week and was able to try both lunch and dinner and was not disappointed. Clean, bright, warm appearance made us feel very comfortable and relaxed as we enjoyed the great service and delicious food. We again went to dinner last Friday and the restaurant was filled with people enjoying themselves and we had Salmon/Risotto and Chicken, Bacon, Mac & Cheese which we both loved and enthusiastically finished. The portions are just right and this is important to me because I do not like portions that are too large as it seems a waste and it increases my waist!. Went here for my birthday dinner last night, 6 of us. The restaurant is beautiful with a really nice atmosphere and the food was outstanding. I had the shrimp scampi and it was awesome. We have so much trouble finding decent food in the Castle Rock area so I was a little skeptical about going to a place I never heard of off the beaten path. I was more than pleasantly surprised. Danielle's is in our regular rotation for weekday dinners. The food is good, the owner very personable, the hostess and wait staff very much on the ball. We love to sit outside when the weather is cooperative - very soothing and relaxing way to spend the evening with your favorite glass of wine or cocktail. Over the summer they featured a watermelon caprese salad that was spot on. Off season I regularly order their regular caprese and meatball appetizers. I love to shop and there is some great shopping right there by Danielle's so that yielded some extra credit. read more

Cocktails were excellent. The gin fizz was the perfect summer drink. My husband whole heartily agrees with other reviewers that the fried chicken was in his top five. I had a taste and the bourbon gravy that came with it was amazing. The linguini with lemon ricotta as described had spinach, lemon zest, fresh mint, and basil. Last night we enjoyed a delicious meal at Danielle's. We started with a yummy bruschetta then continued with the salmon and southern fried chicken. Tasty. We have been there before and the staff is always friendly. By the way the guy delivering your meal may be the owner, Vincent. He said he doesn't run the place. He is just there to keep people happy (he does a great job). There is no skimp on the happy hour drinks and even the house wine is excellent. We finished the evening with "The Torte". Ohhh poor Danielle! She just can't get her act together! She tries but she's just a mess. She can never remember your reservation, even for Mother's Day when you've called to reconfirm. She doesn't know hot tea should actually not be made from lukewarm tap water...she serves horrible concentrate OJ in a dirty glass and charges as if it were fresh squeezed. She stands behind the bar eating while you sit and watch without your food for an hour...Danielle is your sad friend who looks decent on the outside and then you get to know her and she just always lets you down.
