Cocktails were excellent. The gin fizz was the perfect summer drink. My husband whole heartily agrees with other reviewers that the fried chicken was in his top five. I had a taste and the bourbon gravy that came with it was amazing. The linguini with lemon ricotta as described had spinach, lemon zest, fresh mint, and basil. Last night we enjoyed a delicious meal at Danielle's. We started with a yummy bruschetta then continued with the salmon and southern fried chicken. Tasty. We have been there before and the staff is always friendly. By the way the guy delivering your meal may be the owner, Vincent. He said he doesn't run the place. He is just there to keep people happy (he does a great job). There is no skimp on the happy hour drinks and even the house wine is excellent. We finished the evening with "The Torte". Ohhh poor Danielle! She just can't get her act together! She tries but she's just a mess. She can never remember your reservation, even for Mother's Day when you've called to reconfirm. She doesn't know hot tea should actually not be made from lukewarm tap water...she serves horrible concentrate OJ in a dirty glass and charges as if it were fresh squeezed. Now that the excitement of my sons wedding has died down, I wanted to take a moment and thank Vincent and his staff for the outstanding job they did for the rehearsal dinner. Live in Colorado Springs but had meetings in Denver today. The team wanted to grab a beer after our meetings but we wanted to get south of Denver so we didn't get caught in Friday afternoon traffic. Castle Rock seemed like a natural stopping place. One of our team members recommended Danielle's. None of the rest of the team had ever been here. This was a great call. Great place with awesome staff. Bar offerings will satisfy everyone in any group. Waiter was funny, engaging and knowledgeable. The food is scratch made, as the name implies. Our group got a mixture of fried chicken, wings and burgers. Everything was fantastic. I got the classic burger with bacon and Gorgonzola. Even the buns are made on site. The fries are some of the best I've had in Colorado. My burger was so good I even got a bacon, mushroom-Swiss burger to take home to my wife. Highly recommend Danielle's if you are looking for an elegant meal in a great setting. BTW. My wife loved her food as well. Of note, they have an outdoor eating area that I will try out next time I am there...and I plan on going back soon. Don't go! Can't write a review without at least one star but trust me this restaurant doesn't deserve even that! One hour to serve cold flatbread, soggy scampi, bowl of spinach with two shrimp with pile of tuna (summer salad) and a chopped salad only cheese and lettuce. This is the first time I have gone to this restaurant. After a little mix up with our GPS sending us the wrong way on Happy Canyon we found the restaurant. We had a great waitress, Annie, who recommended the pasta as it's made fresh there. She did not lead us astray. The pasta was great as was the salmon. Been here twice. First time was about 6 months ago and it was wonderful. Had the shrimp and pasta, it was delicious and the portions were huge. Service was great. Went again last night. Service was great again. Ordered their most popular dish the Southern Fried chicken. Was really looking forward to it because last time I was there I saw it and it looked amazing. I was pretty disappointed when the server brought it out. It was a small chicken breast, very small portion compared to what I saw in the past and what is pictured on the website. My friend ordered Danielle's Favorite Chicken, which he's ordered several times, and noted the portion was much smaller as well. Not a fan of the menu and portion changes. We have been to Danielle's a few times- both for a romantic date as well as to dine with friends. Our experience has been delicious with great service. Even when the waitress (who was super-busy with prom night tables) forgot to order one of our salads, the owner himself came over to check on us and quickly corrected the error. Those things happen! The wine selection is also fantastic and has a good array of choices to pair with your meal. We can't wait to go back once things warm up because they have an amazing outside patio! read more

I love this place! It was previously "The Social" that consistently disappointed me. I kept returning, HOPING to find improved food and service,because I liked the vibe inside the restaurant so much. It has a calmness about it, even when it's busy. Danielle is perfect for happy hour on the patio, a business dinner, a casual night out with the family, or a dressed up romantic dinner with your significant other. I am SO delighted this place has re-opened as Danielle's and was SO pleasantly surprised to find it was is now under new local ownership with much better service and wonderful- WONDERFUL food. My 17 year old daughter, who is one of the biggest food critics I know, LOVES their hamburgers and I fell in love with their seasonal Chicken Parmesiana. Trust me, you won't be disappointed with this place whatever your reason for stopping by. Just take note that their hours are, as of this review, limited to after 4:00 p.m. and if it's a Friday or Saturday, reservations may be a good idea. And on a SIDE- Side note- if you reserve a table, reserve a booth. Their booths are quiet and comfortable. My daughter and I are quickly becoming regulars here. We had dinner at Danielle's tonight and I have to say the five stars and experience being saved before we walked out was all due to Forest, our server. When my wife, two daughters and I were seated no one greeted us for over ten minutes and that's no exaggeration, I literally grabbed my car keys off the table and we were about to get up and leave when Forest walked right up to our table and introduced himself. From the get go he apologized for the wait, was extremely cool under pressure as tables around us were complaining of one thing or another, and believe me when I say Forest knows the menu! He's recommendation was spot on, the southern fried chicken was pure perfection and my wife's lobster ravioli was full of flavor! Drink Refills were consistently coming to the table without have to ask for or wave down our waiter. Forest was extremely apologetic that the entree took almost an hour to arrive to our table, again this is no exaggeration, Forest was again sincere in his apologies for the long ticket times, and we could tell from the packed restaurant and the look of the other servers faces that the kitchen was backed up! For dessert we had bread pudding and that was truly icing on the cake so to speak. Forest saved this dinner and us from walking out, his professionalism is second to none, I highly recommend you ask for him when dinning at Danielle's. I went to Danielle's tonight and must say I was very pleasantly surprised. As people in the area know, this reastaurant space had had several turnovers in the past 5 years. First, they new owner has painted and made some changes to the interior. The result is a warmer, more friendly feel than before. He still needs to get rid of the ugly orange bar stools at the bar. However there have been a lot of nice chances, including some upholstered chairs and an improved entrance. I had a salad and the crab cake appetizer for dinner. The crab cakes were excellent, with nice subtle accompaniments. they were full of lumps of crab with very little filler. There was a nice selection of wine by the glass. Wait staff was attentive, without being overbearing. If you are I the area, or live nearby, Danielle's should be given a try! read more

Went there for lunch on a Friday. Only two other couples were there during the same time - it was empty. Ordered a $9 Cosmo that was terrible - made by the waiter. We both had the fried chicken which a was good. The main reason we won't return is because the only two employees we saw were slobs - their clothes were filthy and they seemed sloppy, not the kind of people I want handling my food. Our lunch with tip was $80 - pricey lunch for 2 fried chicken main, one split appetizer, one split dessert, one beer and one cocktail. We had a wonderful dinner last night at Danielle's with some friends from Spain. I'm so happy to have discovered this place. Our server was attentive but not overbearing, and was very knowledgeable about the menu and the wines. We started with the calamari and the caprese appetizer. As a vegetarian, I didn't try the calamari, but the others exclaimed how wonderful it was. We were skeptical about ordering it, as our friends have exceptional calamari where they are from. So that was great start! The caprese was very good, but so very small, especially for the price (2 small pieces of buffalo mozarella on 2 smallish tomato slices). We tried the truffled pasta (mine without the sausage), the teriyaki salmon, and the sirloin steak. Again, everyone loved their selections. My truffled pasta was just delicious - so flavorable! Vinny, the owner, came over and visited with us for a bit. He is friendly, funny, and seems like just a great guy! He should be very proud of his establishment! Lunch today on the patio was so pleasant but wishing they had the waterfall going. That water amenity is so necessary on a hot day. Calamari is so nicely prepared I almost ordered another. Second course was a wedge salad .. advise for the mgmt - The plate and greens should be cold when they arrive so this seemed soft and wilted since it was room temperature. This evening I had the most wonderful time at dinner I've had in a very long time. My server Daryn was absolutely phenomenal. She had a warm and welcoming personality and never let my drink go empty. If you ever come in and are seated in her section you'll get the gold standard of service in my opinion! Every item on the menu was described to me in detail and any substitutions I asked for were answered without issue. The salmon was something to die for and I enjoyed every bite more then the last.
