Love that this restaurant is right outside of our community. They have always been super accommodating and the service has been great. I have never had a meal that I have not loved! We came here for my moms birthday with three kids and we were seated in the back of the restaurant which was perfect for our loud group... Outstanding burgers and service!! We came for a work function and had a larger group. They did a great job of managing the table, even when people were changing seats and splitting meals. The entire menu looked amazing and everyone seemed to love what they had. I didn't expect to order a burger but several people highly recommend it. Had the lemon chicken, hubby had a burger. The food looked great, hubby's fries and burger he said were perfectly done! Lemon chicken sauce was great, not too rich, but no real lemon flavor. Thought the spinach was a side, but it was chopped in sauce, so that disappointed. The potatoes were ice cold, and while the server happily heated them, that meant everything else was cold then. Being close to home this has become one of our favorite locations. They often have deals in the local paper or on the community forum and that really brings their pricing to a comfortable level. The food early on was hit/miss but they recently altered the menu and everything has been great. Service has always been prompt and polite. Highly recommended if you are in the area. Total for two should be around $45 if you get entrees and an appetizer. read more

I've been here twice and both times on Friday night. Since the first Friday surprisingly included Sal Mancini i came back for a 2nd time with my 7yo son who enjoys music. Sal is great and will do his best to play whatever the kids like (I.e. "Johnny B Good" which my son loves). But Sal will play just about anything. New country. I had Southwest burger 2nd visit and it was great. Requested medium rare and cooked perfectly. I will definitely visit again. Oh and my 7yo loved the chicken nuggets and fries. read more

The crab cakes were unique. One sauce seem to have a slight bite and the other was sweet. It was an enjoyable combination. It was fairly empty there at 2 in the afternoon so I got plenty of prompt attention. Castle Rock is beautiful and this locale had a lovely view. We live in CP and really want to support local restaurants but once again we were disappointed. Red sauce has way too much garlic and our calamari was warm not hot. We ordered 2- glasses of wine for $21 each in wine glasses that were thick and awful to drink from. The lighting was way too bright AND the bartender Shawn is the most arrogant bartender I have ever experienced. We will go into Castle Rock for dinner, Lone Tree and downtown Denver before we would ever go back to Danielle's. read more

Love Danielle's Scratch Kitchen. We had a fantastic meal - "awesome bucco" as our terrific waitress, Danielle, called it and a delish halibut dish. This Danielle was not the owner but represented her very well! The calamari appetizer was great, as was the creme brulee dessert. From appetizers through dessert, Danielle's seriously has the best food I've ever eaten. I've made it here three times now and it blows me away every time. They take no shortcuts, preparing fresh food the right way. The atmosphere is warm and relaxed with excellent service. My brother found this restaurant and we went for his birthday. One of the best place we have gone too. The service is great and the food is even better. They are known for their fried chicken. I'm not a fried fan at all, but having a bite of my son's it has changed my whole option on fried chicken. We went back a week later and brought my in-laws and the whole family and we all ordered the fried chicken. AMAZING! Highly recommended this place. Let me preface this review by saying that, in my own experience, the vast majority of people are fairly understanding of the reality that restaurants get busy sometimes (I was in the industry for around 15 years myself). That said, setting customer expectations and keeping people informed is absolutely critical to managing those times, and quickly separates the good places from the bad. And that takes us to our experiences here... We'd heard great things about this place, which is a beautiful location in Castle Pines Village. We made *brunch* reservations by phone a week in advance (this detail becomes important later), and arrived at the restaurant about 5 minutes ahead of schedule. The apparently panic-stricken elderly hostess ignored us (despite multiple attempts to get checked in), and - after about 10 minutes or so - looked up our name and mumbled something under her breath before turning her back on us and walking away. Without any further indication of expected additional wait, she then left the front of the restaurant unattended for the better part of the next 30 minutes while a considerable number of additional confused guests piled up. Empty tables were everywhere in the restaurant, including several that remained covered in dirty dishes for the entire wait. We were finally seated about 45 minutes after our reservation time, without any sort of acknowledgement of the inconvenience. Then another 10 minutes of waiting for our server to come by the table, followed by him informing us that they weren't *actually* serving breakfast any longer...so brunch without any actual brunch (strange...we call this "lunch" where I'm from). Then 40 more minutes passed before our food actually arrived. Although the meal was mostly on par with typical brewpub fare, most of it had obviously been sitting under warming lights for some time, and was definitely nothing extraordinary - especially for the price. All told, we were there for over two-and-half hours that day for what should have been a simple brunch. Our entire party left flabbergasted at having been through what was one of the worst dining experiences we've ever encountered. Anywhere. This place was a comical sh*tshow of patently poor service, disorganization, and clueless management. A shining example of how mediocre food and a great location won't keep your doors open if everything else is a complete and utter train wreck. Avoid this place like the plague... read more

The food was good and that can't be understated, but I need highlight everything that went wrong tonight... - Your manager has the charm of the rhinoceros. He took very little responsibility for the quality of service and was quick to throw both you and the kitchen under the bus. Regardless of whose fault it was it was clear nothing was because of him. He also interrupted a member of our table when she tried to share her thoughts of the experience. - Your hostess was extremely inconvenienced by our presence and tried to explain to us how she did not have an outdoor table available despite that the restaurant was half full. - Your waitress was very nice and meant well, but needs training. She spilled wine on one of us twice and needed to be asked three times for silverware. If the kitchen is running slow she could have managed that expectation much better. The rest of us were finished with our dinner by the time the last plate came out. You seem to take a lot of pride over the image you promote which is to be respected, but you need a team who is capable of supporting that vision. read more

My husband and I came here for lunch today to spend a Groupon (worth $30 of food) that we recently purchased. Both the hostess and waitress were super pleasant and accommodating. It was a nice afternoon so we decided to sit on the lovely spacious patio which overlooks a courtyard of trees. We started off with the CAPRESE BRUSCHETTA which was a (GF) Grilled Ciabatta with Ricotta, Tomato, Kalamata Olive, Garlic, Basil, Parmesan ($8). Nice size portion and delicious. For our meals, I had the SALMON with White Wine, Lemon Caper Sauce accompanied with Side House Salad ($17) and husband had the BACON MUSHROOM SWISS burger made from a blend of Chuck, Short Rib and Brisket with Sautéed Cremini Mushrooms & Onions, Garlic Aioli, Sweet & Spicy Bacon, Imported Swiss Accompanied with a side salad ($16). Everything was perfect except the prices were a bit high for lunch...glad we had the Groupon. I gave it 3 stars due to the prices (and for the size of the side salad). *Note that the Dinner entrees prices jump significantly to about $23+ . If you were wanting a place for a special occasion this would be a great place if you don't mind higher prices. read more

My experience was overwhelmingly amazing. I never give 5 stars but from the service to the portions to the amazing food, I was wowed. The patio is great. The employees were so nice and personable even know they were busy. I encountered several employees including the owner and this is a great gem. The drinks were great and not stingy and the food was fantastic. The prices are normal for this type of place and well worth it. Friday about 5:30. Went for wine and small plates. I would rate all 4 of them "meh". Probably won't do again. Server was good albeit a bit rushed (welcome to why one should not go out on Friday nights). The facility is a bit noisy but workable for conversation. What caused us to leave the restaurant was the guitarist/ soloist. Think about it: you already have a noisy restaurant. Then compound it with a guitarist/ soloist with two speakers making conversation impossible. Accordingly, we went on our way. The owner must rethink this as went dropped $200 and felt chased out by a guitarist that cost them money. We probably would have stayed for another bottle of wine, or so but didn't. I'll think twice before going again. Maybe lunch, but not dinner. read more

This place is so pretty inside. The server was very friendly. Problem was the food. I had the shrimp risotto. It was terrible. Excessive amount of cheese! Tasted terrible. Then the minestrone soup was so salty it wasn't edible. I wish this place was good but it was below average.
