David speaks fluent English and Cantonese. I think some Vietnamese as well. His mom for sure speaks Cantonese and Vietnamese. They're both very knowledgeable and easy to work with. Let them know what you're looking for and they'll have recommendations for you! RESELLING JEWELRY David was very honest with me. I had some loose stones and he let me know there's not much anyone can do with them. I also had a ring that he identified as fake gold so it was pretty much junk lol. For some earrings that were 18k, he told me that there wasn't much gold (they were small) and because of that I would not get much resale value. Most of the value was really in the labor of making the pieces. I told him the main reason I was looking to sell was because they were white gold and I preferred yellow gold. He suggested I see his colleague at Focus Plaza and get them rhodium plated instead. (And I did for $20, see pics!) CLEANING Nothing to add, he cleaned my engagement ring so it was nice and shiny again. REPAIRING Great! His repairman soldered my necklace back together. The clasp snapped off but it was an easy fix. PURCHASING They have a great selection at great pricing. I ended up getting a pair of earrings with a delicate chain. Super cute and dainty.

She said no, "it's solar." I clarified that I understood it was solar-powered, but asked whether the movement itself was quartz. She still said no. When I pointed out the ticking seconds hand, she insisted that just because the seconds hand ticks doesn't mean it's quartz. At that point, it was clear she did not know the watches she was selling. I don't expect every salesperson to be an expert, but if someone is going to speak confidently, the basic information should be correct. The whole interaction came across as rude, dismissive, and uninformed. I walked out and will not be returning.

There was also a woman on the phone, which I understand, but even after that, there was still no greeting or basic acknowledgment. When he finally spoke to me, his facial expression and tone felt dismissive, like I wasn't worth the time. He did give me the information I needed, so I got what I came for. A brand new one doesn't even cost $65, plus Swatch doesn't make the Swiss model anymore. Many great reviews for this guy, but honesty and integrity are not in his dictionary. I learned my lesson well for $8 bucks.

Just left this place and was extremely disappointed how the management of Daniel's Jewelers is. Was never greeted by the ladies that were too busy on their phones. Was interned in getting a necklace for my nieces Christening happening this Sunday but just as last time I visited a Daniel's at another nearby location employees seem to be more interested being on their social media or whatever it is they're doing on their phones. Please Daniel's Jewelers step up customer service. I've been a client for years but lately I think the management people you guys are choosing to represent Daniel's are not at the best interest of the store. read more

On May 7, I went to get my rings inspected, which I get done every 6 months as part of the ring insurance we have. I had my engagement ring and a Disney ring set to be inspected and was helped by a nice older gentleman. He had a hard time pulling up my information based on my husband's phone number, but was able to pull it up with the pictures of my receipts that I had on my phone. After inspecting my rings, he cleaned them and I went on my way back to work. However, when I got back to the office, I noticed a chip in the center stone of my engagement ring and wasn't sure if it happened after it was cleaned or the time span between me leaving the mall and getting to my work desk. I was bummed out and didn't feel comfortable wearing my ring out of fear of the stone getting damaged more or falling out completely with how close the chip was close to one of the prongs holding it down. So on May 10, we ended up back at the same Zales after getting advice from a Zales location in Santa Anita mall to see what can be done. We were helped by Julia, who listened to our story and gave us options to pick to help get the stone fixed. We decided to have it sent by Zales to get an estimate on the stone replacement and were offered a protection plan that would help us in coverage for damage beyond the diamonds covered in our current insurance, which included resizing, prong adjustments, and damage to the center stone. We didn't pay for the protection plan yet since we wanted to see what the jeweler would say about the ring first when they receive and inspect it themselves. Julia was really patient with us and helped to make sure our information is updated, including adding my receipt pics to our profile on Zales so I wouldn't have to worry about showing the info for future inspection requests. We are hoping the ring gets to its destination safely and grateful for the help we got.
