Snagged some really nice mini backpacks (a super soft plush bunny ear bag and a Cinnamoroll character shaped bag) and some cute large Tayto plushies and got a bunch more free! The manager Carina was super welcoming and helpful. She showed us all the other deals as well including a rack of 5 for $10 and a section of 10 for $10. The 10 for $10 was a little sparse but she assures is she was getting a lot more soon. I really love the Claire's designs. Lots of "kawaii" animals and food designs. Best Claire's experience ever! This Claire's is located on the second floor of the Montebello Town Center. I was running some errands and saw a sign in the window - Free Earrings for a Year if you get your ears pierced! I've been wanting a third ear piercing for ages so it was enough to draw me in! I swear to you, the nicest person of all time was working. She was so nice, had memorized all the spiels perfectly to explain the ear piercing to me, just the perfect employee. I got some fancy gold earring studs for $76 and then the piercing itself is 'free'. You get 20% off on the day of piercing on other purchases so I also got two pairs of other CZ studs for really cheap. Yay to kinda sorta deals. I was there with my kids today and i got distracted with my daughter for a minute when i notice an employee yelling at a kid for playing with the necklaces. Then i realized it was 9 year old AUTISTIC son. I tried telling him not to touch them but for him its a sensory thing n he cant help it. He went from display to display touching the necklaces and she was literally right after him taking his hands away from them. THAT IS NOT OKAY. I tried telling the cashier she needs to be nicer to him he has autism he doesnt know better but no she kept at it and getting more and more exasperated. I love claire's but this employee was horrible and its not the first time she has given poor customer service. A little confused by the horrible reviews. We went in on a weekday afternoon and were immediately greeted and asked if we needed help finding anything. We said no and continued shopping. The employees continued to ask if we needed help periodically during the 10-15 minutes we were in there. The employees were overall pretty friendly. We snagged 6 headbands for roughly $15, so the prices were decent for what we received. Some of the merchandise didn't look like the greatest quality and was literally falling apart while still on display, so minus one star for that, but otherwise our experience was good. I doubt we'll be back anytime soon since it's not really a store we frequent, but at the same time I wouldn't hesitate to go back. read more

Claire's is a horrible place! It is super pricey and not really good stuff. The piercings here are horrible. I got a Cartlidge piercing on the top right ear and it got infected within a month. I realize it got infected because, I looked up piercings on cartilage and I found out that they were not supposed to use a gun rather stick a needle in it. And Claire's did use a gun! The purse is your expensive and the coupons and sales are done. Do you not take your children here for anything. I've emailed Claire saying my piercing unaffected and they did nothing about it! I should have at least got my money back or a redo piercing. If you want to get your ears pierced cartilage or loops or whatever go to an actual piercing place or a tattoo parlor where they actually have good certificate stating they know what they're doing unlike Claire's. read more

If you need your ears pierced and don't know where to start, come to Claire's. I came in after thinking about piercings for a while but I didn't really have an idea of where to start. Nadine was more than helpful when it came to piercing my ears. I asked her for recommendations and she gave me multiple, with pros and cons to each. She was very clear on what I needed to complete to get my piercing done, and was an extremely calming and happy presence throughout the entire ordeal. I had pretty bad anxiety, but Nadine was calm and chill and talked to me while it was going down. She gave very clear instructions and then some, especially since my earlobes were thicker. She gave descriptive advice on what to do the following weeks and I walked out a happy camper! read more

Went to get my daughter's ears piereced and had a really good experience. Dominque was extremely nice and answered all my questions in a very professional manner. She explained the importance of making sure her ears were cleaned thoroughly to prevent infections and shared with us various methods of cleaning her ears along with additional scenarios as to when they should be cleaned. When it came to the actual piercing she performed it with calmness, cleanliness, assertivesness , and professionalism. Extremely happy we pierced her ears at Claire's. Highly recommended! read more

I was charged 31 dollars at West Covina and this lady was thinking at the top of her head of the prices saying 41/47 dollars. And then when I told her that we payed around 31 dollars she was trying to make me seem dumb saying "No No No" you're probably thinking of 41 dollars. I went to the Claire's at the location in Montebello with my two daughters and husband Sunday night . Receipt number 58509 . Never In my life had I received such poor and humiliating customer service . I understand I went past 4 of her precious minutes after closing but the way she treated me was not acceptable . I am a paying customer, as I gave her my item to purchase she not once acknowledged me to so hi or even exchange a word . She had the worst look on her face like if she hated her job and it was a bother for her that I was buying . When the transaction was completed I even had the courtesy to say thank you and she didn't even look at me or say anything back like if I was talking to myself . 5 stars for Jessica's service. I came on here to leave a good review on an employee who kindly helped me in getting my baby's ears pierced. As I was reading through the reviews on here, I recognized the face of a customer by the name of "Roxana" who gave an employee by the name of Jessica a hard time. I came to this Claire's on a Tuesday to get my baby's ears pierced. The employee who helped me is named Jessica. She was very kind and patient with me and my baby through the whole process. I did notice that she was the only one working on the floor, so she was going back and forth trying to help other customers and myself. I don't understand why she was by herself since it is a pretty big store and it seemed a bit busy. I was being very patient with her and I definitely didn't mind because I knew she was struggling trying to multitask with a lot of different tasks. Once she came back to help us out, there was a customer who approached the register. Jessica kindly asked me if I could give her a minute, again I didn't mind. She rushed to the register to help the customer. I heard her tell the customer that they had a promotion of "buy three items and get three items for free." In order to do the special Jessica told her that she needed all six items to be in the same transaction. You can definitely tell that the lady was giving her a hard time due to the attitude in her voice. Jessica remained cool the whole entire time which surprised me. The lady grabbed new items and literally SLAMMED the other items to the side of the register. At this point I was getting quite annoyed at this lady. After completing the transaction and the lady finally decides to leave, she tells Jessica if she can have a "talk" with her. She ends up calling Jessica a "B*TCH" in front of customers (kids and all)! Jessica kindly tells her to exit the store and that was that. The fact that "Roxana" has the audacity to write a negative review on here about this poor employee disgusts me. Customers like her is what makes jobs like these difficult for people. (Drama aside) I definitely recommend this place for ear piercings. I was kind of nervous getting my baby's ears pierced because she is my first. [They say that getting their ears pierced when they're small is better because their ears are very "thin" and it doesn't hurt as much.] Jessica made the atmosphere feel very comfortable and answered all my questions and concerns with generosity.
