Customer service needs improvement. I took a ring in today that just got serviced 3 weeks ago. My center diamond( over 2 carat) was loose again. I also had 2 small diamonds missing that was never brought to my attention They told me I have to wait till September for another diamond show. They told me to go Jared's jewelry in Cerritos maybe they could help. I was very confused why did I paid for the warranty for Zales if in need go to Jared's. Well Jared's own sales. Long story short I left Zales very stressed. I walked to to Jared's and it was a winder experience !! Let's just say Jared's has gain a new and very happy customer. read more

Date of visit: May 7 and 10, 2025 Selections: May 7 - Ring inspection May 10 - Ring repair Experience: This review is going to be based on two visits, but dealing with the same ring. On May 7, I went to get my rings inspected, which I get done every 6 months as part of the ring insurance we have. I had my engagement ring and a Disney ring set to be inspected and was helped by a nice older gentleman. He had a hard time pulling up my information based on my husband's phone number, but was able to pull it up with the pictures of my receipts that I had on my phone. After inspecting my rings, he cleaned them and I went on my way back to work. However, when I got back to the office, I noticed a chip in the center stone of my engagement ring and wasn't sure if it happened after it was cleaned or the time span between me leaving the mall and getting to my work desk. I was bummed out and didn't feel comfortable wearing my ring out of fear of the stone getting damaged more or falling out completely with how close the chip was close to one of the prongs holding it down. So on May 10, we ended up back at the same Zales after getting advice from a Zales location in Santa Anita mall to see what can be done. We were helped by Julia, who listened to our story and gave us options to pick to help get the stone fixed. We decided to have it sent by Zales to get an estimate on the stone replacement and were offered a protection plan that would help us in coverage for damage beyond the diamonds covered in our current insurance, which included resizing, prong adjustments, and damage to the center stone. We didn't pay for the protection plan yet since we wanted to see what the jeweler would say about the ring first when they receive and inspect it themselves. Julia was really patient with us and helped to make sure our information is updated, including adding my receipt pics to our profile on Zales so I wouldn't have to worry about showing the info for future inspection requests. We are hoping the ring gets to its destination safely and grateful for the help we got. read more

My fiancé and I came to this Zales on Saturday, June 3rd to have my wedding band re-sized and get quoted on a re-sizing and engraving for his band. The woman at the counter (shoulder length dark hair, slightly heavier) did not greet us at all. Finally when I asked for help, she took both bands and didn't say a word and went to the computer. After about ten minutes of her looking at the system and us awkwardly standing around and looking at other items, she comes over and tells me that the re-sizing for my fiance's band would cost $93.99 and the engraving would be $34.99 for only TWO INITIALS. I told her "no thank you, just mine then" (because mine was free as I purchased insurance) she said, "you should have gotten insurance for him too." She then asked me for my ring size, and I responded "7, I think" and she never took my measurement nor my fiance's for his band. While she was typing everything into the system, we were looking at watches and she never once asked us if we wanted to see something. My fiancé and I went around the entire store about 3 times (we were the only customers there) and she never asked us if we were hoping to purchase anything else. Additionally, the re-sizing of my band would be ready in 2 weeks... I thought it would take an hour or so. I ended up going to a swap meet (Anaheim) and they re-sized and engraved my fiancé's wedding band for a total of $25. Plus, they wrote my entire first name and our wedding date - not just two initials, AND only took about 20 minutes. read more

My fiance took my engadement ring 3 weeks ago to get it resized and they just told us that they never got it sized at all so we waited 3 weeks for nothing because they didn't want to touch the diamonds around it and they suggested that we take it somewhere else. The workers at Zales were extremely helpful and knew what they were talking about when it came to diamonds. Everyone in some way helped me when Pedro was showing me rings. I felt very comfortable and at ease, which I find hard to do in jewelry stores. I loved that the guy helping me out (I think Pedro) was truthful and "straight up" when I asked him questions about the merchandise and the financing offers. After looking at wide selection of rings they had he and his co-worker helped me pick out a great ring. even though they did not have the ring I originally went in to see they found something similar. They were lesser in quality and more than twice the price of the ones Sandy found for us. Luckily, I was still within 30 days and returned the original 2 back to Robbins Brothers for a full refund. I bought an engagement ring and matching wedding band for my fiancée in January. Within 6 months a diamond fell out of the engagement ring. This set was about $6k so not cheap by any means. I took the ring back to have it repaired and was informed it would be 4-6 weeks. Now it's week 7 and still no ring. I called the store and was told they would get back to me the the next day after contacting Corporate. 2 days passed and no call so I called back. I spoke with the same girl and she informed me she hasn't called back because corporate had not answered her email inquiry. That was a poor excuse. She could have called to let me know the status regardless. It speaks worse for Zales as a company (corporate) for choosing not to respond to their customers. My wedding is approaching quickly and I'm starting to think I might need to buy another set elsewhere because this may not make it on time. The Montebello staff is friendly but not having a local place to do repairs and Corporate not honoring time commitments or even bothering to answer questions about estimated times for repairs to be returned makes this a bad experience. I go back now they returned it because I didn't go in to get it. All within a 3 week window. They returned it right before Christmas! That's real bright. Well... I'm engaged and the ring is beautiful. I got one of the enchanted Disney collections and I did tons of research and talked to at least 7 different jewelers. I spoke to Chris at Zales at least 3 times before I made up my mind on what I wanted. They had different rings in the Disney collection every time I went to Zales and when I saw the one I wanted Chris helped me through the whole process. He knows how special of a moment this is to me and he had so much patience. There was no pressure to buy and by the 3rd time he already knew what I was looking for and when something came in he was eager to show me. When he showed me the ring I ended up buying I knew he picked a winner. Almost like he saved it for me and waited until I showed up again. Put it this way... my mom wanted to donate her earrings she purchased at another jeweler to buy a simple beautiful ring and with the trade the ring was going to be a couple hundred bucks. I was satisfied with a solitaire and I knew my now fiancé would like it... but something told me to see Chris. When I show up there was the most amazing and beautiful ring with everything I wanted... the detail and hint of rose gold the fact that Disney is where I asked her to be my girlfriend and where I ended up asking her to marry me and the ring was a Disney ring it was beyond perfect.
