Im on a mission to find some good Chicken Tortas! Although my mission just started I have had many Tortas (haha) in my life. Lets start: Service was good. Torta was well made, chicken well cooked straight from the grill. Avocado was fresh. 1st bite had warm yet toasted bread. Thick bread. I didnt get any, complementary, chips with my order BUT they werent needed. This filled me up enough. Green Chilli sauce had a sweet spice to it, it had a delayed hit. Red Chilli sauce was instant and it stayed on the tongue a little bit. Both very delicious. Restaurant was nice. Music was good. It was nice enough to eat and have a nice conversation. Our first time at "Daniel's Tacos" and we absolutely loved it. Of course, they had the Tacos Tuesday special going on. Their carne asada and al pastor were just superb and very delicious. Tacos with homemade little corn tortillas and burrito wrapped in flour delicate tortilla along with pico del gallo, chopped onions and house celantro sauce - yumminess in making. Of course, we came back and I am happy to say that the food was again, superb, fresh and tasty. We got our carne asada tacos and carne asada burritos of course. This place is just great. Food is being prepared right there in front of you and you can of course customize. I am picky with my food and love when people get that and make my order just the way I love. So impressed with this taco place!! It's really cheap for what you get and everything is so tasty. Their salsa bar was really good, especially the avocado and red ones. Love that they have dried chiles on the table too. On tuesdays they do $1 tacos! I got a cabeza taco for the first time and it was so tender and flavorful. I also got a carne asada huarache, which was like a salad on a flour tortilla. It was so yummy! I loved the avocado and cream on it. Their meat is so good! Can't speak for everyone, but for me this has been some of the best Mexican food I've had, second only to what I've had in Mexico. Came for a snack so tried the 4 taco plate for pastor. I'm used to it being a spicy, sometimes dry chunk of pork kind of like asada, but this meat was incredibly moist, almost more like a chili. It was really cool seeing the tortillas being formed to order, and the salsas I tried were all solid. My brother was jelly, so he ordered some taquitos. Not sure what we expected, but this were huge! Almost like a chimichanga's little brother, the beef inside was nice and crispy and the guac felt both fresh and light. I can't say if Daniel's is either the best or most authentic from my short pit stop in North Hills. But from stopping by on a whim, I was incredibly impressed. read more

The asada on the fries had absolutely no flavor, 3 people tried it and no one even felt a hint of salt or any flavor whatsoever, the fries themselves didn't taste like nothing, it was bad. The best Daniels Tacos no doubt is the OG one. I order a Asada Quasadilla and wow it's just swimming in oil and more oil. It's like once they were done cooking it in oil they dumped what was on the grill on top. They did this to ALL 3 Quesadillas we ordered. Never had a quesadilla look this bad ever in my life, horrible. You don't want to know what the bottom of the plates looked like. Will never go to this one again, we paid for nothing but a pool of oil. Got ripped off. They should go to training from the original Daniels Tacos learn how not to drown there food in oil. This mojado was raised to a submersible level; unacceptable, in my opinion, for this dish to have made it off the line. This review is strictly for take out and Uber eats. We ordered a burrito, tacos, carne asada fries, and some taquitos for a variety. We also ordered a horchata to go. The food came fresh and hot even if it was Uber eats. The portions were very good. My biggest complaint with the tacos was that they were not topped with cilantro and onions. The tacos were basic as hell and bland. They did not include much salsa so we ended up using the salsa we had at home. I called the store to get a refund and the owner said no and to call postmates and settle it with them. They tried to blame the driver that brought my food. I didn't visit the actual place, I ordered from them on postmates. I decided to try this place due to it's high amount of good reviews, but once again mislead by people who lack taste buds. The handmade tortilla was good, as were the salsas, but I can't say the same for the rest of my meal. Also, inside of one of my tacos was a piece of bone - didn't think I'd have to worry about that, but apparently this is something to think about if you order from here.
