Carne Asada Burrito, red sauce and regular Horchata.

Decided to try Socorro's for dinner and I'm glad I did. My meal was delicious. I ordered a Carne Asada Burrito and I have to say the tortilla and meat had excellent flavor, the beans and rice also had great taste. Normally I don't review ( just read reviews) but I had to give them credit. 9/10, recommended.

Where to start off!? First time here in this hole in the wall, ambiance is nice, mainly serving food to go, service was great ladies working were very attentive and nice. Now to the best part the food was a 5/5. !! Being 9 months pregnant my expectations are a bit high so I really cannot wait to come back. My husband and I had the cheese enchilada plate, sope plate & Carne asada tacos . Meat was well seasoned and cooked to perfection with homemade tortillas! Oh ! Don't let me forget the delicious horchata!

The limones were dry no juice and the "tostadas" were Soft shells that's a reason why they're called Tostsdas

The food is ok a bit overpriced I just don't understand how can they can get away with that one taco for $4,50 seriously,it's just a hole on the wall but the food it's ok the service on the on the other hand is TERRIBLE, the employees attitude towards you is like they're doing you a favor, if you are seating on your table and ask for something when you see the waitress passing by she just ignores you and don't care what you want or need is not like they're busy it's only like 3 tables occupied by customers, long faced waitresses with attitude like they're mad or something I mean if you're going to be like that work somewhere else but don't do customer service is bolt like im Eating for free I'm paying for my food but with that TERRIBLE SERVICE don't be expecting a tip The owner should really look into it unless he/she doesn't care about losing customers!!

Food is good. Service not good. I ordered food by phone for pick up, in my broken Spanish. My Non Spanish speaking son picked up the food. When he arrived he told them he was picking up a phone order, (they did not ask my name to identify the order-over the phone) he had to tell them what we ordered, they asked him Questions in Spanish, he didn't understand some words, he said the waitress was annoyed, while he was waiting, they made him feel uncomfortable, as he saw them giving him looks and he heard them say, no sabe español, in a not so nice way. He understands some, but can't pronounce enough to speak Spanish it. When the order was ready they didn't hand him the food, they just placed on the counter and waitress walked away. When he asked if that was his order, they pointed at the counter. He said he had never felt so disrespected.

Great food. I would buy from here every day if they would only not put their to-go soups in those carcinogenic white foam containers.

Flavor wise delicious but definitely lacked any spiciness. Also appreciated getting a celebrity sighting! At first we were seated by the window but given the heat and lack of being able to feel the AC we were able to get moved to a different table which I greatly appreciated. I can't even describe all the food we got but my favorite for sure was the pulled beef taco, the chips and assortment of dips, and ahi tun. I absolutely will come back. I'd say desaert was my least favorite as the cake park of it was too dense for my liking. Parking was no sweat there is valley but costs a lot.

Lovely spot for Mexican food with fun vibes!…read more I came for Sunday brunch/lunch with some friends. I made a reservation through Yelp a couple days beforehand and there was plenty of availability. The restaurant is located right off Ventura Blvd and has an attached parking garage in the basement which can be accessed via the parking lot behind the restaurant. There were plenty of spots available Sunday afternoon when I came. It's a bit hidden, but there is an elevator from the garage to the top level where the restaurant is located as well. We had two babies in strollers with us, so I requested a table with plenty of space nearby for the strollers. They seated us outside on their covered patio, and indeed, we had plenty of space. I peeked inside and there's also a nice lounge area with a beautiful flower wall as well as a proper dining area. When we arrived, there was a live DJ spinning tunes. I assume he's there during brunch hours, as he left around 3 pm when brunch ended. I started with a frozen lime margarita ($12). It was okay; it felt like it was only half frozen as the ice wasn't blended that well. For my main, I got the famous Anejo carne asada and shrimp plate for $40. Yes it was pricy, but the portion size was also huge! I was starving and somehow managed to finish the plate, but it'd be a great dish to share for two people with small appetites. I really enjoyed it as well. I asked for the steak to be cooked rare, and they didn't overcook it. Each bite was super tender and flavorful and paired well with the rice. Everyone else also enjoyed their dish. One friend got the wet chicken burrito for $15 and it was massive! Another got the veggie fajitas with steak added and really enjoyed her dish as well. Solid food all around. I would love to come back on a weekday and try their happy hour! Sipping on $5 margaritas and $6 sangrias sounds like my idea of a great time!

Longtime fan, but last night was a real letdown…read more.. I've been dining at Casa Vega for years and have always loved it. Last night, my sister and I brought the whole family -- a party of eight -- for our dad's birthday. Something has changed, and not for the better. And it's not just the cheese -- it was the quality of everything. Across the table, the consensus was immediate: dish after dish tasted off, cheap, wrong. Sharp, stinky cheese that bordered on spoiled, like a bold new direction nobody warned us about. - My Cali Burrito, my all-time favorite, tasted nothing like it used to. Inedible to me. - My partner's refried beans (with the Chili Colorado) came out hard, cold, and dry. - My mom's chiles rellenos were just as bad. Only the chips, salsa, and drinks tasted normal. I even brought half home and tried a bite this morning to be sure we weren't imagining it. We weren't. It's simply not the same. So what happened? Is there a new chef? Is this a deliberate change, or a one-time slip? Because right now I honestly don't know if I should ever come back -- and after years of loving this place, that's hard to write. A restaurant can change its ingredients -- that's fair. But when a family drops serious money on a birthday celebration, a heads-up would go a long way. We got neither that nor a meal worth the occasion. I want to love this place again. Tell me I should.

They have an indoor dining area as well as a spacious covered patio. I also loved that their drinks are served in mason jars! Water, utensils, and napkins are self-serve. Their menu has a great variety of both breakfast and regular tacos, and you can choose between flour or corn tortillas - both types of tortillas tasted so yummy and freshly made. Everything we ordered was so good! - Trinity breakfast taco (eggs, bacon, potatoes, cheddar) - definitely a classic breakfast taco - Brisket taco - comes with a juicy and tender brisket - Queso (served with chips) - great for sharing! - Cookie milk iced coffee - made with chocolate chip cookie-steeped oat milk and wasn't overly sweet which I appreciate There's a small parking lot with about four spaces, otherwise, street parking is plentiful nearby. My husband got 2 tacos, brisket and chicken and a side of chips. I through in a side of crispy potatoes. This was a nice cool Sunday evening around 6pm, the vibe was full-ish but still places to sit. There's a big bar around the cook area inside where you order or a covered patio outside area (with heating if necessary). We had a lovely evening, so we sat at the end of a bench. Our food came to our table I'd say within 10-15 minutes of ordering. I honestly could have shared mine. It was a lot with those potatoes, and even my husband who's a thin guy said one of those tacos would have been sufficient (and he could have helped me with mine...haha). We were just in the area visiting our kids, we come down frequently from NorCal, so we will definitely hit up this place again now that we've found it in the near future. So good and super relaxed and easy.
