We were up in Big Bear for vacation! We were hoping to find a place with delicious food. This place did not disappoint. We arrived in the afternoon between 4 PM and 5 PM to find out it was Happy Hour. What? A discount on donuts...yeah! The staff was very helpful in helping us to select something to try. The blueberry donut was hot and fresh...AMAZING! My husband tried the glazed donut. He was hooked! 2 glasses of milk added was the perfect finish! We drove back the following day to pick up a few to take home. Living in the desert, it is hard to find soft and delicious donuts or bread items. The glazed donuts, chocolate covered glazed and twists were on point! Hubby tried the ham & cheese jalapeno crossant- warmed. After hearing, mmmmm He remarked this was a religious experience. I foolishly decided at the last minute to get donuts for my son on his birthday, but luckily Dank Donuts saved the day. I ordered my Donuts and the lady on the phone was nice and the gentleman that gave me my order was nice too. The donuts were a hit and my son was so excited. Me and my brother went here when we because we thought it would be DANK. It wasn't very dank... I had a ham and cheese croissant and it too a while to get to the ham and cheese part. But it was good! I'm going to start off by saying I'm a tough critic. We have a 2nd home here in Boulder Bay, and had never tried this place. Yesterday we were out running around near the zoo and decided to finally give it a go. I told my wife just get 1 donut and bring me a tea please. Well 20 minutes later she emerged with 2 pink boxes, and put the in the truck next to me. Immediately I smelled sweets and was like oh no. She had gotten a box with several little donuts I just had to try one, you know bite-sized. I said mmm and she asked how is it I said tasty, she then said those are vegan. Yes folks vegan donuts and they were yummo. But then I see it, a 4th of July decorated donut. I immediately had to pinch a piece, I heard a slight snap. Then tossed it I'm my mouth, it was crispy on the outside and oh so moist on the inside. Hands down best donut on the mountain ever. We also had a croissant it was flaky, buttery goodness but aren't they all. They even had Doggie donuts and our dog loved it. She was so excited with goodies, she forgot my tea. Really good donuts and friendly customer service, one thing that makes Dank Donuts different is that they have a taco guy that comes out and sets up on Sunday and Tuesday at 5:00 pm. Really fresh donuts- friendly staff. We also had the burritos, which aren't made to order, but fresh every morning until they sell them out. They are delicious! More places should put tator tots on instead of fries. Super convenient on the way to Bear Mountain. Burritos are wrapped and could be stuck in your pocket for later. They have gluten-free mini donuts in a variety of flavors! Ive had each and all were delicious. I'd be over the moon if they offered full sized gluten free (gf bear claws??), but I'm not complaining! I picked up a few bear claws for friends and they all said they were really great too. read more

So the staff is 5 star but the donuts get 4 stars. My two kids just do t like the donuts from here. I think it is because they are baked and not fried. Delicious! Tasted super fresh! Apple fritter was huge! Decadent and moist. The blueberry donut was on point! Usually I'm not a fan of cake donuts, but this donut did it for me. The croissant (ham and cheese) was chefs kiss! I always go for a croissant when i visit a donut shop. This one was fresh , and i appreciated the chunks/cubes of fresh ham and savory white cheddar or possibly Swiss as opposed to the deli slices you usually get. The maple bar was packed with maple glaze, almost too much, almost.... But amazing. My husband forgot my fav, the OG, good ol' chocolate donut (crying) but I'm sure it would've been amazing.
