Such a cute do it spot and have been wanting to try it! The lines are out the door in the morning! But it was Memorial Day weekend, So I skipped coming early and decided to go in the late afternoon. They didn't have a huge selection, but I did try the strawberry, blueberry and Crumble donuts. Blueberry was my favorite, OMG sooo yummy! Also tried the Mexican potato salad which tasted like ceviche and was spicy! Service is very friendly and we were there to try the apple fritter. The cashier told us that we can order it and pick it up the next morning and skip the lines. Good to know! Went the next morning and walked right up to the counter and got our fritters. I'll definitely be back to try the coffee and sandwiches.

I've been here twice and I think it's ok. It's a cute building with a good size outdoor patio. Depending on the weekend, lines do get out the door. I've tried a strawberry donut the first time in the fall. Most everything was sold out by the time we went. It was just ok, didn't taste like really strawberry, more artificial. This time in the summer we went since they still have the pineapple fritters. It's huge!! Was not expecting it to be that size so we split it. Again, it was ok. Didn't have a lot of pineapple so just tasted like fried dough. I wish it had more pineapple flavors. So it's ok. Probably won't be back for donuts but may try sandwiches next time. SYOY!

Absolutely insane! I'm more of a cake donut person and this place delivered. I tried the strawberry one and blueberry one. Their apple fritters I swear weigh 5lbs. Fun place and vibes to be in and get donuts! There can be a line tho otherwise it's an in and out place. Outdoor seating available :)

Get there early because they sell out quick! All the donuts are delicious but I very much enjoyed and recommend the apple fritter, pineapple fritter and cinnamon roll! They are enormous and either take days to finish it you can be nice and share. They are fresh and flavor is perfect. The sandwiches are also very good and made fresh. Great to take down to the lake or on the boat. The place itself has tables outside, plenty of parking and a cute mini golf area.

Wow! There's a reason they call it dank donuts!! Drew took such good care of us this afternoon. I personally got the old fashioned and blueberry donut and omg!!! They were both sooo good. The service is fast, staff is friendly and food is BOMBBB!!! Can't wait to come back

Dank DONUTS oh my gosh I can't even begin to explain how cool and interesting this place is. The staff was super friendly and gave us recommendations on what to try so we decided to go with the Apple critter donut. Hands down the best tasting donut we've had especially since we're from out of town. They also have donuts for dogs which I got my dog one and he loved it. If I could recommend anything I would say forsure the apple critter and the mini donuts as well. I got an iced matcha which I will say is on the sweeter side but still delicious. 5 stars from me !

Oh Dank Donuts where have you been all my life?This gnarly donut shop boasts the highest elevation in California, creates some of the most delicious and freshest donuts I've ever had the privileged of tasting, and also hosts adult beverages and scrumptious sandwiches. Nestled up high by the slopes of Big Bear is this awesome place that seemingly all the cool kids know about. Luckily my family and I stumbled upon it while out for a walk and just had to stop. Fried dough with sweet glazes make my heart go pitter patter, and Dank did not disappoint. Over the course of 14 days we tried all they had to offer and everything we had was delicious. My favorites were the chocolate long John, giant apple fritter, and veggie sandwich. The service was always friendly and quick, so they do a lot of business with ease. The inside is very small, so it's a squeeze if they are busy, but the outside has plenty of tables to sit and enjoy the gorgeous Big Bear mountains. They have fun coin rides for the kids which kept my little ones busy and happy so we got a few extra minutes to relax. Big Bear has amazing donut game and Dank Donuts does a wonderful job of standing out amidst the crowd to offer unique and fresh tastes and at atmosphere that goes above and beyond your typical donut shop.

I paid $5.45 for 5 donuts. One of which was a cinnamon roll that was bigger than my head. If you have a sweet tooth for donuts, this is your best bet in big bear. Everything was very good and affordable. I believe I was there during happy hour (4-5pm daily). I think the happy hour is $0.50/donuts during happy hour. The staff were also helpful when I had a question about online ordering (you need to call to order ahead).

They have a great jelly donut but other donuts are average. My negitivity comes from being charged almost $12 for 6 donuts! I would pay $1.99 for their jelly donut but really Dunk $1.99 for cake, glazed and maple covered? That was my 1st visit and unfortunately unless i want a jelly donut i will be going somewhere else. I'm always looking for a good donut place that has great cheese and ham croissants with jalapeños, and Danks in Big Bear does a great job with them. Super friendly people running the shop and it's just a hop skip and a jump from our place when we visit on the weekends. Easily one of the best donuts I've had. I generally try to eat well, but you have to go off the deep end every now and again. We were visiting the area and this caught our eye. Okay Donuts are Amazing but the Tacos We went to the grand opening yesterday of Maria and whoever's tacos! Sad to say they had no clue what they were doing. We waited after paying for over 2 hours! People who walked in at the last minute walked out with their food while everyone else was waiting. Not very impressed with the street tacos they should have only taken 5 minutes to lay out! Needed a donut fix...and this newly opened place filled the fix. This place was packed for a Saturday morning. Lots of seating outside, and the inside is tastefully hi-tech! Nice selection of donuts and stuffed croissants. The donuts are tasty and big! The Bear Claws looked like Bear Paws! (Hugh). Prices run from $1.5 to $2 for most donuts. This place is Awesome! Quick service and great food. The breakfast burrito was delicious and filling and the homemade salsa was a nice added touch. The blueberry donuts were fresh warm and fluffy and the coffee was perfect. Best of all, staff was aware and compliant of COVID-19 regulations, but not ridiculous about it!! I absolutely love this place and would recommend it to anyone! I have been gluten free for about 10 years now and to get my donut fix I normally have to go get the over priced frozen ones from the store. Their donuts blow those out of the water! The prices are super reasonable and they have the best atmosphere for young couples, families, older ones ect. Perfect location to grab a snack before of after a day at the slopes! Established in 2018.

Its been a dream to open Dank Donuts in the mountains for many years now. We spent years traveling to different mountain towns all over the world and delivering Dank Donuts to the dankest people. On November 17, 2018 our dream became a reality. We are so excited to share our Dank creation with you!

Meet the Business Owner: Kara and Robert T.

One day a long time ago, we were on an epic snowboarding trip and decided we needed to live in the mountains. We came up with 'Dank Donuts' and dreamed of opening a shop. We started handing out donuts at the bottom of the chairlift at Bear Mountain. We made stickers, shirts, and traveled to as many mountains as we could spreading 'Dank Donuts' and manifesting the shop. With patience, perseverance, and the support of many, we are now living our dreams and are so happy to share it with you. We love when old friends walk through the door to see what their support created, and its even better to meet new friends. Come visit us! Grab a donut, some good vibes, and let's make the world Dank again.

Although the wait can be a bit they are super fast. I had the waffle combo the second time we went. delicious. Had a bite the first time and just had to come back for it again. Also had the sausage patty. OMG this was next level. Biscuits and gravy were also delicious. My daughter liked the waffle as well. My son and his wife liked the enormous pancake! Diner is really small and decorated with stickers and money, very cute. We will define come back here when we are back in town. Highly recommended!!!

Here's why: we arrived at 9:50 for breakfast, 6 adults and my 2 year old. We put our name in, and were told it would be 45 minutes. 50 minutes in the heat outside goes by. (Two of the adults are in their 80's mind you.) We're really hungry lol. Two 4 seater tables finally open up in this tiny place. A small family of 3 shows up and knows the hostess (pixie haircut and piercings, don't know her name but can't miss her.) she waves them in and gets them one of the 4 seaters, no wait for friends I guess! 2 minutes later a third 4 seater opens up in the same row but she sat her friends at the one right in the middle. So they call our name and then tell us we have to separate our family to get seated and take the two 4 seaters on opposite ends of the table they gave away. They don't give a (insert your favorite curse word here). I guess it's okay though because they warn you on their menu that the staff might be moody lol! A great scapegoat for terrible service. Never again. Here's a tip to anyone reading: go literally 1 minute west down the road and eat at the first restaurant you see. They were phenomenal!

I ordered a Nutella espresso martini mocktail and my man ordered an allagash beer (not on the menu, but on tap) - NEW beer for them, which was a great bonus! There were several people working as wait staff and one bartender, who was the manager that day onsite. Seemed like he was making tons of drinks for several tables - because, sitting at the bar right in front of him- took maybe 5+ minutes to even acknowledge that we were sitting in front of him in the middle of the bar- then it took 15 + minutes to get the two drinks and an order of fries. That was the only downpoint- but everything else was fine. Fries were great with a nice homemade ranch dressing. My mocktail martini was good - quite a lot of foam on top- but pretty and tasted kinda like a fancy chocolate milk. I never usually like wasting money on a mocktail $8 for it- but was yummie. I had an old fashioned, it was decent... my girl ordered a happy hour mimosa and here is where the experience crashes... there was only one extra large bottle of cooks champagne left that had been opened and then recorked with a wine stopper. They couldn't get the bottle open so they took the bottle to the kitchen and the server came back out with the bottle broken just above the neck and proceeded to pour champagne from a broken bottle with her back turned to us, thinking we wouldn't notice. That was a first, big red flag. We had a caeser salad added a piece of fried chicken, we also had the Stromboli. The fried chicken tasted old and microwaved making the texture very tough and arid dry. The Stromboli was not as stale, but still had a spot that hadn't been fully heated so it was lukewarm to cold. We won't be coming back, it's a shame because the place is cute. The service wasn't bad if you're oblivious, and it wasn't intentionally bad either, maybe they were just working with what they got, I can respect that. But then I can't justify the price we paid for 2 drinks a salad and an appetizer. The serving cheap champagne from a broken bottle was something I can't overlook either.

He even went as far as to say, let me refund you for the crepe so you guys can leave this place. Not a way for us to be treated as tourists bringing business to Big bear. If you want to wait for an hour then stand on the side of the road for a lame crepe. Nothing about this place or service is charming.

The sandwich was awesome, but those chili cheese fries were the real star of the show. The flavor was insane. Chef's kiss. If you've been hiking all day and need a place to refuel, this is it. Great food, great portions, and exactly what I needed after being on the mountain. Would absolutely recommend to anyone visiting Big Bear. Unfortunately my wife lost the lid to her metal coffee tumbler and did not realize it until she made it back to camp. After calling the store, they originally did not see it but took her number down. Luckily after an hour, they called back and found her lid next to the door water dispenser. Very thankful for their diligence and great customer service. Cute little shop and will definitely be back if we are in Big Bear again! As for the bagels, they were really fresh and the scouts enjoyed them thoroughly!

The ambiance was very cutesy and inviting. Lots of decor and all sorts of knick knacks like bee croc jibblets. It's fun to visit!

I can't comprehend any business being allowed to do what I have experienced within the last day. I walked in yesterday with a view to trying their breakfast. before I could even complete my order, a blond female calling herself Kara angrily approaches me, defaming me and trying to hound me out of town saying "Oh my God, you're still here." I was wondering what on earth is this about? She claims to be the owner of the place which Is neither here nor there but I learn a few hours later that she has started emailing other businesses in the area defaming me and telling them not to take my business. One wonder what on earth can make an individual so unhappy that they start some sort of campaign against an individual and the impact for Big Bear as a great place for visitors from all parts of the country. This place is definitely a hidden gem and a must-visit if you're in Big Bear! We stopped by on our way home, and I'm so glad we did. I tried their strawberry and blueberry donuts, and they were absolutely incredible, so flavorful, and perfectly sweet. I loved them so much that I had to go back and grab more... and let's just say they didn't last long on the drive! We also tried a couple of their sandwiches and the potato salad, and everything was just as delicious. The flavors were spot-on, and the portions were generous without being overwhelming. I'll definitely be making this a regular stop whenever I'm in the area again. Highly recommend if you're looking for something tasty and satisfying in Big Bear! read more

This owner becoming unhinged in the DMs over an extremely benign 3 star review tells you everything about this place. Say it publicly if you believe it. I have never been here before and I don't return to places that don't put as much respect in their vegan/vegetarian food as they do in their meaty food. I visit Big Bear often from where I live in the DESERT, but good job letting the LA peeps know to avoid here. Hilarious coming from the guy whose location in his profile is Culver City. I dunno, maybe just be happy with your 4.5 stars and not get sour when someone doesn't like every item they tried. read more

Pretty good donuts and croissants. I got the ham and cheese one and it was good, but the dough seemed a little undercooked. My friend liked her Neapolitan donut and we each got a drink. I asked if they had soy milk for my chai tea and the guy said they had almond milk, which is fine but I'm not a fan so I declined. Then he said they had soy, so I was a little confused on why he didn't just say yes when I had asked haha. Would go back when I come back to Big Bear. read more
