Menu says all breakfast burritos come with eggs, potatoes, cheese, drizzle of cream, refried beans, and red salsa. Then you choose what kind of burrito from the list below, one of which is potato and egg. So I ordered a potato and egg breakfast burrito to go. Got home and my burrito had no beans, no cream, and no salsa. Not sure why they would even list potato and egg as an option when those two ingredients supposedly come standard on all burritos. Apparently when you choose the potato and egg option they interpret that to mean you don't want any of the other ingredients that are plainly listed right there on the menu. To paint the picture: this is a tiny restaurant where you order at the counter, sit, and whether you are dining in or out, the employee will bring you a tray of food or your bagged order. We arrived just after they opened. I had a coffee cup in hand. We tried ordering a burrito and were told "We don't have burritos right now." (I guess they were out of largetortillas?) We ordered chilaquiles, a chorizo & egg torta, and a potato & beef taco for $42 after I tipped 20%. When we sat down, the employee who took our order asked if we were dining in. After I said yes, she told me that they did not allow outside food or drinks. Come on... I had a cup of black coffee, that's it. I get the premise of businesses not allowing outside food or drink, but I just spent $42 including a 20% tip and you tell me I can't have my styrofoam coffee cup on the table if I'm dining in? I thought that was way too letter-of-the-law and poor customer service. My tip would have definitely been different if it was given after the dining experience. Food was just OK. I've had better chilaquiles elsewhere and the torta was very dry. Considering the prices, customer service, and the food just being OK (plus, how could they not have burritos/tortillas), we won't be back. read more

I just finished enjoying the classic chilaquiles with green sauce, eggs over easy, and machaca. It just doesn't get any better. This is a hearty meal that satisfies down to your boots. Good spot for Mexican food, especially the breakfast burritos & tacos al vapor. The deduction in point is for the crunchy tacos. You can choose between 1,2 or 3 tacos in the order, which comes on a plate with rice & beans - but they don't allow you to mix & match the types of tacos that you have to choose from (ex: 2 beef, 1 potato). It doesn't seem like an unreasonable request. Other than that little quirk, the food was good. Customer service was okay, not bad, not great. This place was great, it's a small little hole in the wall in a busy shopping center. There is very limited seating, only a few tables. The food is phenomenal, the service was great. We had chilaquiles (mole and red) and a birria taco. The menu is pretty big, not only breakfast items. The prices were ok, worth it. So I went there again... twice and I will again later today. So I found out they are an extension to Vanessa's Deli with some changes to the menu. This place was originally just a water store from what I remember but they have added this little Mexican shop as well. So on top of filling your gallon of water here with reverse osmosis water (or purchasing a dispenser and accessories.) you can order yourself a delicious freshly made juice. I cannot get enough of the Vampiro. Their Carne Asada fries are amazing. It's not a lot but they taste amazing. They make up for their lack of quantity with their quality. The tuna torta was also very good and a nice size. Pretty much if you like Vanessa's Deli you will like this place. They also sell tacos al vapor. I havent tried them yet but they smell good. A hole in the wall that tastes like home cooking. I've had their tacos a vapor and it's as close to the ones from TJ as it can get. Proceed to not be even greeted and was then left to see the menu which was extensive enough to offer varieties. After a 5mins of waiting i finally get ask if i wanna order and i proceed to ask for torta, they didnt have the bread then i ask what they had available and was told breakfast only.
