Solid joint with some very tasty, unique takes on comfort food. The only reason this is not a 5-star review is value for the money. Let's start off with my favorite dish I've tried (so far) and that's the Tequila Jalapeño Shrimp Pasta. Terrific flavor but portion size compared with the high price tag is the only drawback. My favorite appetizer is a tie between the Calamari Fritti and the Devil's Belly (deviled egg with fried pork belly on top). Both are very delicious but with the Calamari they skimp on the dipping sauce side, and there's no option to request or purchase an extra side of garlic aoli. Both appetizers are on the expensive side. Long on flavor, short on value. If you've got a fat wallet and have a hankering for some comfort food with creative, tasty twists, give this spot a try. I've only had their food delivered, so I can't comment on the restaurant ambiance or service but I drive by it often and it looks like it would be very cool decor inside. Highly recommended for those of you with fat bank accounts or corporate credit cards. I wish I could afford to order from them more often! read more

Relatively new burger joint hidden in the tiniest shopping center off of Ventura Blvd. Started with the half and half order of spicy buffalo and Asian bbq sauce. The Asian bbq sauce wings were my favorite and went really well with some ranch! I also had the Bourbon burger with truffle fries. The burger itself was super juicy, had lots of bacon, and the fried cheese curds were a nice addition. I was kinda disappointed with the truffle fries since they weren't really truffle fries, but I did try their wicked fries which were so so good! Shoutout to our server Rachel for being so helpful in making my decisions on what to eat! She was knowledgeable of the menu and answered any questions I had. Walked in to order, immediately greeted warmly with a smile by a nice and friendly young lady who's on her first day on the job (seems like they hired a good one) and also the manager training her who was helpful and attentive. Nice decor inside, would definitely dine in when time allots. I ordered the hamburger lunch special that automatically comes with cheese which is a bonus, and fries (upgraded on onion rings), and a drink. I live in the area and wanted to try this restaurant after seeing it has been open for awhile and hasn't closed. I ordered a trip tip salad - the tri tip was medium rare on some pieces and well done on others - the salad was supposed to include carrots, green onions and cucumbers as well as spring mix, pickled onions and tri tip - it was missing all the veggies save the pickled onions and the spring mix was wilted and of poor quality - when I called to discuss, I was referred to a manager - the person behind me also brought his milkshake back in after complaining it has "paper towel" in the shake - very sad. Came here the other night and really enjoyed everything. I had to get my burger lettuce wrapped but it was great and the ones I saw at other tables with buns looked phenomenal. Just a great thick burger that was actually cooked medium rare when asked , which is more than I can say for the Stand at times. If you're craving a burger I don't think this would disappoint at all. Close and arguably 5 stars. Also someone ordered the short rib poutine and it looked phenomenal too. The service was great. Terrible service. We waited outside 10 minutes after opening. Eventually I had to call and ask if they were open and why the doors were still locked so they opened up. After which we had a question on the menu but they said they were too busy to answer any questions or take orders. The food is amazing the service is ok but the place is not clean. Every time I come the table is dirty, there was no one on the restaurant. The bathroom floor so sticky almost left a shoe there. The server brought the check but could take the plates away or offer to take the entire salad to go. Just not good customer service. Have had the Wicked Cow on my list for quite some time and was excited to finally try it. As soon as we stepped in we were joyfully greeted by our server, the place was empty so they offered for us to take any table we'd like and she brought us the menu. Well I was in tarzana on business and it was lunch time and this place looked interesting but I was a bit disappointed! The service was great no complaints there but I ordered the short rib melt and oh geez it was so so dry!!!! I asked for mayo or something so it would get better but didn't work! The issue was the meat looked like it was rewarmed up looks like it was left over from about two days before and just got warmed up maybe twice before served to me! it was dry I could tell because the meat was very very crispy at the ends! Nothing could have prepared me for how spectacular the burger was. I ordered the Widowmaker, which is their spicy burger, upgraded to the wicked fries which comes with sauce and freshly sautéed onions, and an Oreo milkshake, (which was the real deal in a blender with Oreos and milk). Burger patty is grass fed, never frozen, and cooked to order, so lots of life and character to the patty. The Jalapeños were sautéed and generous, and the chipotle aïoli was made in house. I could not believe how much flavor was exploding out of this burger, spicy, savory, egg yolk run down my hands over the wicked fries. It took me like 25 minutes to eat, not just because it was so hearty, but there was too much flavor to ever want to finish a bite. I will definitely be back and I can't imagine ever waiting in line for In-N-Out when I get excellent sit down service by the staff from start to finish. (Server was Lillian). The restaurant was spotless and well organized with comfortable booths and a bistro/farm house vibe. Great for a date or grabbing a bite with the guys. She takes our order and drinks come out quick but the food takes 40 MINUTES To come out! Loved the Smokehouse Burger!! Wife got the Shrimp tacos which were very good but the tortillas got cold pretty quickly because it was really cold inside the restaurant. My kids ordered the kids cheeseburgers but didn't like the seasoning in the french fries but my wife and I loved the taste of the fries we even air fried our leftover fries the next day. I actually had a bad experience, was charged a lot over my meal price...came in and spoke with Yae...she handled the situation like a boss!! Yae should be a manager!! she's was kind and understanding about the situation, explained it was an issue with the POS system...gave me a refund of the over charge...
