They have partnered with Red Eye Cofee, a local coffee house, to offer a Breakfast Club. Each week they pick a different location to bring fresh cooked goodness and wonderful beverages to your door. Place your order by Wednesday and it will be delivered to your door on Friday. And if you are not in their neighborhood that they will be serving that week, have no fear: you can place an order to pick it up! We ordered the Hakuna Frittata filled with meat, some cinnamon rolls filled with bacon, and a jug of cold brew. It showed up right on time and they have amazing customer service: you can track them online via the link in email, and they will text/call you when they have delivered! Perfect! Everything is pre-cooked and just needs to be heated (20 min for frittata, 10 for cinnamon roll). And everything heated up perfectly...just like we were being served fresh from initial cooking. The frittata was amazing, and can easily serve 4. The cinnamon rolls can also serve 2 each (but you almost certainly want your own) and were warm and gooey. The coffee was the outstanding Red Eye cold brew. For a little over $30 we had breakfast delivered that will feed us for two mornings. I am so glad that they are doing this, and am happy to help 2, small local businesses.

Roadside Barbeque Tallahassee, FL…read more The worst Sliced Brisket I have ever been served. WOW... This place let me down for lunch. I wanted some good barbeque for lunch, so I decided to try Roadside Barbeque recommended by a few coworkers. Roadside Barbeque operates in a parking lot on Orange Ave in Tallahassee, Florida cooking on location on a large charcoal pit and serving food from a small trailer. My first impression when I pulled up was "this is going to be good" judging by the number of customers outside waiting for their orders and by the smell of the smoke coming from the pit. The time to place my order was 10 minutes. I had to wait an additional 15 - 20 minutes for my order to be ready. There were about 4 people inside the trailer, but there seemed to be no sense of urgency in serving the customers. The order taker, who was very friendly, polite and thanked each guest, was also the same person handing out the complete orders, which is ok, but she was sitting the entire time creating the impression that she was not in hurry. The cook manning the pit was working extremely hard. I ordered brisket dinner with two sides; I chose the baked beans, and the macaroni and cheese served with two slices of bread for $25.00 (ouch). I asked for the barbecue sauce to be placed on the side, but the order taker stated they were out of containers to the sauce in. The dinner had 4 slices of thick cut brisket which was mostly fatty, extremely dry, tough, and had NO flavor except for the excessive amount of sauce sitting on top of two slices of white bread. I'm assuming the extra sauce on the meat was an attempt to cover up the dryness of the meat and to add flavor. To sum it up, two slices of brisket were nothing but fat making them uneatable, and two slices of brisket were dry as if they had been sitting for an extended period resulting in the brisket not being enjoyable. The macaroni and cheese were dry, flavorless, and not cheesy. The baked beans tasted like bean poured right out ot the can with a touch of sugar for sweetness added. I don't mind spending my money supporting small minority businesses, but for $25.00 I expected a better and higher quality meal. I did not go back to ask for a refund, and I will take this one as a meal loss. I may even return in the future to give them another try and maybe try something different from the menu. I normally dine at the chain barbeque restaurants like Sonny's Barbecue, etc. because they normally have a refund or product replacement policy the quality or taste of the food is not up to standards.

They have a small menu with some tacos but being a Gator fan I just couldn't order a garnet n gold tacos. So I went with the cheese steak on a Publix hoagie roll. Theses guys were a little behind when I got there but they quickly recovered. My cheese steak was a little tough but aren't they all thou. The seasonings were there but just missing something. I know heat, spice, fire, or to me flavor. I just require some heat some head sweating fire on your tongue and the back of your throat. In all it was good sandwich and I will return after I try a few other trucks.

First concern, where to park? This restaurant is located on Florida State University's Tallahassee campus and parking is always a concern for us non-student, non-parking pass folks. We went on a Sunday, midday, and hopeed that students would still be sleeping late and that we'd find parking. Still a challenge, we ended up parking in CVS's store parking lot. To be fair, we went inside and bought some candy. But it is still a tow parking lot. Not sure when that might be enforced. It's a short walk to the 1851 building, which houses several counter service restaurants, including sushi, tacos, ice cream, pizza and Tally Mac Shack at 1851. Sunday is a good day to try this spot. The line was short and the service was swift and efficient. We ordered the Snortin Nortin, which is pulled pork, smoked peach BBQ sauce and tangy Carolina gold sauce on top of a bowl of mac and cheese. If you're used to Kraft mac and cheese, this is a smooth cheese sauce throughout the macaroni. Almost too much cheese sauce. The pulled pork and BBQ sauce is served in the right proportion. The other bowl we ordered was supposed to be something like a Cuban sandwich. The pork over mac and cheese was fine, but the haphazard way the mustard was added, was not visually appealing, and was there supposed to be some chopped pickles on top? Not sure about that. Again, the cheese sauce was a bit too much for my dining companion. The price may be a little high. Overall, we were filled and had some left over. I think the appearance on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives encouraged us, but I'm not sure we'd return for same. There is a cute ice cream place in the next counter, and a pizza place we might like to try if we can figure out some better parking.

There was little to no mac n cheese at all in the Tiki marsala bite, and all you could taste was the breading. They were also extremely expensive and not worth the money. Luckily on my way home I found a homeless man who was happy to take them. My friend and I both spent $20 each and left unsatisfied. The buffalo chicken mac n cheese was decent with a good amount of food. I suggest y'all go somewhere else if you want mac.
