Best pancakes I've eaten in a long, long time. They're huge, but very light and fluffy--hard to see how big from the pictures. Tried the buttermilk chocolate chip this time, and the homemade hash and eggs, which was very good, too. Will have to come back for the Polish Omelette.

Another owner but still good food. I was at this diner pre covid so about 5-6 years ago and enjoyed it so on my day trip (staycation) I decided today I would come back. It's only counter service so the stools are not the most comfortable but the food is worth the stay. Service was good, not as quick as I may have liked but not horrible. Nice to see ladies dishing it up. We started with coffee while we waited for our meals to be cooked. We ran out of coffee quick, I think my friend finally got us some more. My biscuits, gravy, eggs, bacon and sausage was delicious. I usually like a good homemade cornbeef hash which my friend got and I tried and was glad to settle for what I ordered. There are no bathrooms here so make sure you go before coming or somewhere off the beaten track afterwards, not that I had to go just giving out info. They have nice outdoor area for nice weather if it gets full inside. A local lady sells her jams inside and I bought a cilantro lime that caught my eye, can't wait to try it. If in the area it's a must try.

Road hut. Waitresses yelling about "alimony payments"! 16 year old chef, complains how he orders dog food on Amazon. Isn't that just like lip-smacking food talk? It appears, said by the cook himself: that the ingredients of your food are from Walmart cans. Freezing shack with stale eggs. Review: 3

This is a hidden gem of a place. Its on old 1930 diner trailer that was fully restored for current use. I stopped in a few Saturdays ago after a hunting trip. Great place to grab a bite after hunting, camping, hiking or whatever reason. All the food is made right in front of you. I had the cheese burger with French fries. Just classic diner fare. The place was packed so you know it's good. Most people were getting breakfast and no one leaves hungry. The food is very good and the 3 ladies working that day were really hustling. The woman doing all the cooking was 70 years old and was killing in the kitchen making everyone's meal. Kudos to those 3 employees. Dans dinner is the place to go in Chatham.

Perfect, amazing, fabulous. Food is quick and delicious with awesome service, very nice workers, good food, will be coming back 100% again and again

Great food, made in front of you. Friendly atmosphere. Counter seating only but that adds to the intimate atmosphere. Outside seating in warmer weather

Really great restored railroad car diner from 1925. Feels like entering a time capsule in terms of ambiance. Sometimes I worry that diner food isn't going to be as good as other breakfast places but Dan's food was stellar. Thick cut bacon was delicious and the home fries were perfectly crunchy and really well spiced. You can see the cook make all the food from scratch on the griddle. Next time I'm getting the french toast which looked incredible. I also got the fresh squeezed lemonade. It looks expensive but that is only because they give you a huge quantity. Could see them make that too. I think locals are trying to keep this place on the down low because it was packed but I couldn't find much about the place online. Menu is not extensive but diners are for the basics.

Visiting family in Ghent. They recommended this diner as one of the local spots. Stopped in for breakfast on our first day. The pancakes were buttery, eggs & meat tasted fresh! We ended up going back for lunch later in the week. Got a simple grilled cheese and onion rings. Both were perfectly cooked and seasoned! There is only one chef who cooked each ticket individually - it did take a while, but the waiters were attentive and friendly! Charles was great!

Did I know what I was getting into when I stopped for lunch in Craryville?…read more No. Sometimes you're on a road trip and you need to stop to eat. Often, these meals are nothing special - just fuel for the trip. But sometimes you get lucky. We stopped because we were hungry and because the map said there was a place to eat just off the Taconic. Right off the exit we were greeted by an old-school stainless steel diner that looked well-maintained and inviting. At this point, my expectations for the stop had already been exceeded. Inside, we learned that this was an old Silk City Diner from 1958, and the decor reflected this history. We took a comfortable booth by a window. Service was friendly. One of the day's specials was fried scallops. Now, many people might think an old roadside diner that's 100 miles from the ocean might not be a good place to order seafood, but I had a feeling I was making a good choice. I didn't even ask the waitress how the scallops were - I just ordered. The scallops were perfectly cooked, enjoyable to eat, and exceeded my expectations. They came with fries, gravy, and broccoli, which were all fine (but nothing special). It wasn't all perfect. The coffee was weak, and it didn't seem like all the food met the level of the scallops. But for a random rest stop it was fantastic. Will I be planning a trip to Craryville just to go to the Martindale Chief Diner? Probably not. But would I stop in if I was traveling through this area again? Absolutely.

Inside there is a dining area that wraps around bathrooms. On the counters, staff left their empty gum wrappers, staff drink coolers, dirty rags, half eaten sandwiches, empty bottles, refilled Tostitos jars with stinky substances, papers, and cloths etc. At the counter there was a long wait. Regular visitors brought their own food. Several of the service vitrines were cracked. The glass + tableware racks that busboys brought, were very dirty (see pictures, replace them). My meatloaf sandwich - which is a staple that I usually opt for, when there are many items, was filled with carrot and greens; which left a weird taste, that was not meatloafy on my palette! The sides were good, the coffee as well: but the coffee was always empty. The food is middle of the road. Service is slow and lacks a single 'leader' who can keep business humming along. People waited to pay. Cash was left unpaid on the register - people just gave up and walked out. It is very very chaotic. Food is passable, not refined. Coffee refills took a very long time. Chaotic female wait staff, that creates massive dining room problems and backups for diners wanting to pay. Staff make problems not solving them! Review: -4

Our omelets were generously sized but dry, under-seasoned, and filled with soggy vegetables. The crispy, well-cooked home fries were the standout of the plate. An absolute hidden gem in New Lebanon!…read more OMG, what an adorable little cafe! We were in New Lebanon and looking for somewhere to eat around 7:30 PM. Being a small town, there weren't many options still open, so we called to see if they were still serving dinner. The sweetest lady answered and told us their kitchen closed at 8:00 PM, but they would still be happy to take us. We're SO glad we called! The moment we walked in, we loved the place. It was beautifully decorated, with fresh wildflowers they had picked themselves, the tables were set so nicely, and everything had such a warm, cozy, welcoming feel. We were seated immediately and had ice water at the table right away. The service from beginning to end was seriously top-notch. Then the wonderful lady helping us, and I'm so sorry we didn't get her name, brought out freshly baked mini blueberry muffins. OH. MY. GOODNESS. They were DELICIOUS. That was the moment we looked at each other and knew dinner was going to be good. And it absolutely was! Our daughter ordered an omelette, my wife had the steak frites, and I ordered the chicken piccata. Every single dish was delicious. My wife also ordered a blueberry cosmo, which she loved! At this point we were completely stuffed, but there was no way we were leaving without trying dessert. We ordered the red velvet cake AND the chocolate croissant bread pudding with vanilla ice cream. Did we need both? Absolutely not. Did we finish them anyway? Pretty much! The food was just THAT good. We kept telling ourselves we were full and somehow kept taking another bite. What really made this place special, though, was the hospitality. We came in close to closing time, and instead of ever making us feel rushed or like an inconvenience, they welcomed us with kindness and gave us a wonderful dinner experience. That says a lot about a place. 5 stars all the way. If you're anywhere near New Lebanon, do yourself a favor and stop here. Places like this deserve all the support and business they can get. Great food, beautiful atmosphere, and genuinely wonderful people. We will DEFINITELY be back, and next time we're coming for breakfast!

I picked up a matcha latte here, and my friend catered a delicious brunch from this spot!…read more I appreciated that the matcha didn't come pre-sweetened. It could've been whisked/blended a bit better (separated a bit), but I was happy with it overall. Regarding the catering, I was a big fan of the avocado toast (super fresh and creamy and nice flavor) and tasty muffins (I enjoyed the blueberry muffin.) It takes a bit to make drinks / food, so be sure to allocate some time--this isn't one of the factory-like cafes that churn out drinks / whip out ready-made food. The interior is cute and has assorted offerings of general foods/supplies that were fun to peruse.
