I had the unfortunate experience of my car getting broken into. I called Dans Glass in Concord to see if they could replace my window same day. It was already after 2 and they close at 5. Although my glass was not in stock they went to the warehouse picked up and did install all before closing. I called Dan's Glass around 10 am today about replacing a windshield on a new car after waiting for 24 days for a "national" glass company to find the glass I needed. Dan's Glass found what I needed immediately in Oakland and promised to install it at my home tomorrow afternoon. Instead around 2 PM the glass technician, John, called to ask if he could come to inspect my car today. I said, "sure". John showed up, looked at my car and said "let's do this right now if you want." Wow! In less than two hours I had a beautiful new windshield. John was efficient, professional, careful and quick. I was amazed to get a bill for hundreds of dollars less than the other company offered. Ad I got the job done 24 hours earlier than promised. I am calling Dan's again tomorrow to get some cracks in another windshield patched. read more

I had experienced really awful customer service from another company for windshield chip repair, and was able to drop by and have it fixed within 10 minutes, and the customer service is astronomical - the ladies in the office are super friendly and accommodating. Even though they were busy as all get out they still squeezed me in. Don't go anywhere else - $59.95 for a windshield chip repair is a steal here and they did an absolutely phenomenal job. read more

I got a quote from Dan's glass for retrofit windows and they were outrageously expensive (double the quoted price from the highest of 4 other quotes), same windows and same install. Other bids were qualified, licensed insured companies. I was thinking there was a mistake in the amount of quoted windows but apparently not. Watch out is all I can say! read more

Dan's glass has done a lot of glasswork for me during the renovation of my home. Their staff has always been prompt for appointments, curteous, friendly and eager to make sure that I was happy with their work. They have put in 2 custom showers doors, replaced some damaged glass shelves in my dining room hutch, and made custom glass inserts for my kitchen cabinets. Their work is top notch and anytime I have had any concerns or questions, they have addressed the issues immediately and made sure that I was completely satisifed with their work. Disappointed. I was recommended to this place by an auto shop. I called gave them my car's information to get a replacement passenger side window for my car, which is a VERY common model. I only needed the window as my handy boyfriend is a car guy and could install it himself. We called and they said they would order the window, should have it in the shop by 3, on the same day, and would call us back to let us know when to pick it up. Well 3 came and went, 3:30 and by 4 there was no call. So we decided to follow up as it was getting late. We called and they did in fact have the window but didnt call regardless of the fact that they closed at 5 and it was Friday. We sped over to get the window, and paid what I would consider a high price but most places wouldnt sell the window with out the service and we were told that their product was very high quality. I was kind of pissed off given that they didnt call us regarding the window being ready or inform us they closed at 5 but I was willing to over look that detail, got my window and was on my way. The next day was Saturday and my boyfriend took the whole car door apart to clean and install my new window. Got to the installation portion and "UH OHHH" the brackets they attached to the bottom of the window were placed incorrectly so they would not fit the hardware on my door. There was no mistaking it, the brackets were about an inch and a half from where they should be. Being that it was Saturday and their office was closed till Tuesday for a long holiday weekend we were in a tight spot. My boyfriend spent two hours painstakingly cutting the bracket off and then re-gluing it to the window in the correct position. This turned a 1 to 2 hour window replacement into a multiday ordeal because after reattaching the bracket we had to make sure the adherent bonded with the window. I would not purchase an auto window from here again based on this experience. Poor customer follow up and the fact that they sold a window with hardware that didnt even match the specks of my cars hardware. Mind you my car is a popular model and this was a basic order. This is basic stuff here and should be hard for a professional business to get wrong. read more

I first visited Dan's Glass in Concord in 2011 to ask about a crack in the windshield of my 2009 Mazda Miata. They showed me that it was a "stress crack" and not due to a rock or other object impacting it. After some back and forth, Mazda replaced the windshield at no cost to me. My most recent visit (January, 2016) was due to another crack, this one caused by a rock. Barry and the folks at Dan's Glass replaced the windshield in a few hours at a fair price. Their service is courteous and professional and I am very satisfied. I have not used them for glass problems around the house, but when one arises, I'll give them a call! read more

I gave the woman the measurements I needed for a glass shelve which was a 1/2 inch thickness and she informed me most people get 3/8 thickness you really can't tell the "difference" she said and silly me I bought her story. I called three glass shops in the greater Concord/Walnut Creek/Pleasant Hill area to get a quote on removing a large mirror in my bathroom. I was also a little bit under pressure to get the mirror removed as I had an electrican coming. Dan's was the best price and even though they were busy he sent a man over late that same afternoon to remove it for me. The guy who came called first, came within minutes and did a good job and cleaned up after himself. Cannot be happier. Would use again. read more
