I.e. even if you didn't enjoy anything you ate, at least the fkn salad was great. In this case, the dressing was light and lacking in flavor. I had the chance to check out Danville Brewing on a busy weekend night. The lakers and warriors were playing, so the room was packed. There is a bar area which makes watching the game much more enjoyable. If you take a peak in the back, the industrial part of the brewery is fun to look at. The staff was quick to take our order. Quick review to share one of the best experiences I've had in a large group. 8 of us gathered to spend time celebrating a milestone birthday of mine and the customer service experience received was incredible. Our servers name was Emily, she approached us with a smile and positive experience even through the place was packed. Busier than ever but to us it did not feel that way at all. Not only was the food incredible, we always had a full glass of beer. In addition she kept tabs on us so that we had food or beverages at all time. Came here during happy hour and was pleasantly surprised by the reasonable prices of small bites and wide selection of local draft beers. This spot was pretty busy for a weekday, but the service was very fast and friendly. We sat at the bar and we were quickly given a menu and put our orders in. My friend and I shared the buffalo wings and housemade pretzel bites from the happy hour menu. The wings came out hot, with plenty of sauce that was perfectly spicy. Came to order off of the happy (hoppy) hour menu at around 3pm on a weekday. We were able to choose our own seating and sat at the bar. The happy hour menu has a few food items to choose from, and we went with the beer cheese pretzel bites and the buffalo chicken tenders. Additionally, we got the 925 Blonde. The beer cheese pretzel bites were soft and fluffy, and an excellent snack to pair with beer. The beer cheese was rich yet light and had a very well rounded flavor. The buffalo chicken tenders were more like tiny chicken strips, though I enjoyed the size of the chicken. The sauce was zesty and flavorful, and the ranch was house-made. The chicken was served with cucumber slices, which was a nice step up from celery. The 925 Blonde was a pleasant blonde ale, though after ordering, I wish I had taken a closer look at the menu as they have many enticing beers. For example, the Diablo Island is a tiki inspired IPA, the moral flexible is a hazy pale ale with tropical fruit, and the sickbay pineapple which is a wine barrel aged Belgian beer. We decided to try DBC after reading rave reviews about their burgers. The restaurant has a ruggedly modern aesthetic and a lively atmosphere. We were warmly greeted and promptly seated by a friendly hostess. Our server was terrific. She was attentive and quick with suggestions based on our preferences. We started with the brussel sprouts, which were perfectly roasted and equally delicious. I enjoyed a solid, Hazy IPA while my bride had a rose that, unfortunately wasn't cold upon arrival but easily remedied by a few ice cubes. For our entrees, I had the bacon jam burger minus the red onion with a side of fries. The burger was quite tasty but a little under-sized for the price and quite greasy. I felt the fries were overcooked while my better half (who prefers crispy fries) actually felt the opposite . My wife initially ordered the chicken sesame wonton salad but switched to a money burger because the salad was on the warm side (the portion also seemed underwhelming to me). Like my burger, hers was also very greasy. In sum, we loved the place, the staff and our appetizers and liked the beverages but were nonplused by our entrees. read more

Every single time i'm in the area I always make time to stop by Danville Brewing. I always try something new on menu and everything is to die for! There is a wide option of food, amazing beer, and even delicious cocktails if you aren't an ale lover! Yesterday I had the pretzel bites (an absolute must), fig bread, ahi nachos, and beer battered fish and chips with the lavender cocktail and a 925 blonde. My friend had an IPA recommended by a worker who said it was his favorite, the beercan beach, which was also amazing. I was watching a YouTube travel blogger who was showing the highlights of Mt. Diablo, and he ended his clip with a stop at this place. I know Danville almost as much as Wakanda, in other words, next to nothing since I'm not part of the deep-pocket East Bay monied set. However, he showed one thing that stuck with me, a Fuji apple melt. Sure enough, I followed his advice about Mt. Diablo and exited on the South Gate road to take the most direct route to Danville. You could smell the entitlement in the air, and I got quite a waft when I saw some of the customers treating their beer flights like rare vintages. The staff, however, was very friendly, and the bartender was especially forthcoming in providing attentive service even though my high-top table required her to walk away from her high maintenance patrons at the bar. The menu listed several healthy-sounding options, but oF course I ordered the $14 Fuji Melt (photo: https://bit.ly/3AnUu1w). It featured gruyere and white cheddar melted onto slices of Fuji apple, smeared red onion jam, and added arugula between two slices of grilled sourdough. There was an option to add bacon for $2.50, which was tempting but I demurred. Ok. Honest review now from someone who has been there since the first day they opened. Pros: - One of the best burgers I've ever had in my life. - When in Danville, we go there probably 2 times a month. - Menu continues to get better with more options (wish they still had the railroad fries) - there is always great service Cons: - I feel each time I go prices raise ever so slightly. - The beer sizes. They are the only bar I've ever been to where they give you a small glass for whatever IPA you get. Even if you get a 7% ipa they will still give you the same small glass they would give for a 11% ipa. I've never been to a place that does this and I feel they are ripping off customers by doing this. - none of the salads on the menu are vegetarian besides a roast beet summer salad (which i assume very few people eat). If you get a salad with no meat, the price stays the same at $16. There should be some vegetarian salad options. All around we do love this place but we have found ourself going there less due to these changes. read more

I'm so impressed by this place! And so bummed that it's literally taken me 4+ years to stop in and have a proper meal. I always thought it was only a brewery with 'bar food', though I was pleasantly surprised today. My wife and I brought our pups and came for lunch. The server Jason was very nice and welcoming. He brought ice water for our dogs and constantly checked in to ensure we were fully accommodated. We ordered the Brussels sprouts to start alongside mimosas with OJ. The sprouts were delicious and nicely salted. The mimosas were perfectly mixed; ie minimal juice and maximum champagne, to make for a nice light color. We ordered about a half dozen more mimosas :) For mains, I ordered the Salmon Sando which was a delight. I even have some to my pup and she loved it too. My wife got the paleo chicken bowl and she said it was very tasty and healthy. We also ordered blackened sweet potato fries which was a first for me but definitely very good and Cajun-like. Thank God I've finally found a good burger in NoCal. After all, it can be said I am SoCal's burger aficionado having written a Best Burgers in LA book (can be found on Amazon). Lord knows I've tried to find a worthy burger up here, and really haven't until DANVILLE BREWING. CLASSIC BACON CHEESE BURGER [$16, 4.5 stars] -- bacon, American cheese, little gems, tomato, red onion, pickles. Wow, it presented beautifully with a bodacious fresh bun and very quality meat. A little too much meat, in fact. The bacon was incredible, too, and this wasn't even billion dollar bacon featured on the money burger (I can only imagine). Served with fresh cut fries, it was in the OMG category. Really good. Sporting 8 or so burgers along with a slew of other things like: salads, sandwiches, fish & chips, salmon, fried chicken, poke bowl, and besides good brews, they have cocktails and wine.
